A change in pace.

Well, today has already been different than my usual summer days. While my mom was at the bank, my dad was at work, and my brother at the mall, my younger brother had some kind of seizure.

After attempting to get the broadband adapter to work on my Gamecube, I walked downstairs to get something to eat. In the sunroom, my brother was on his side with his back to me. I walked over to see what he was doing, and when I saw him, I knew something was wrong. He had drool all over his face, his lips were blue, and his eyes looked glazed over. So I turned him on to his back, wiped to the stuff off his face, and tried to get him to breath better, because he sounded like he was having trouble due to the stuffy sound of his breathing. After, I called my dad, who in turn called an ambulence.

My dad had recieved instructions over the phone as to what to do, so I propped his head back, and tried to open his mouth, which was rather hard. I got it open a bit, and after that he was breathing at a semi-normal rate. So I went back to the phone. He suddenly sat up, looked at me, and yelled in surprise.

I thought everything was over, so I told dad he was up. But then I realized he wasn't really responding to me, or saying anything that sounded like words, so I went back over to him. Soon after the paramedics, my dad, my mom, my grandparents, and several neighbors arrived. The paramedics did a few tests in the house, such as checking his blood pressure and stuff, and then took him out to UMASS. I went to the hospital along with my grandparents, where I stayed for about half an hour.

The paramedics offered to drive us back to our house since the only car my parents would be able to get back in was my grandparents, so we accepted, and now I'm home.

Needless to say, today was already stressfull enough.

Masses create plague.

I've been thinking about how certain animes are beaten to the ground and stabbed to death by an obnoxious amount of fans. Now, the number of people that like the anime isn't the problem; the number of morons that like the anime is.

For instance, look at the .hack//SIGN thread in the Anime Lounge. It's festering a web-based epidemic. So many morons who can't understand the deeper meaning of a show, (or over anylize the show) have destroyed the story of project .hack. Not only is that thread completely spammy and filled to the brim with n00bs, but these people run off into a random tanget on why they think Mia can't be Macha or Maha without any specific reason, when you find out that all three are indeed the same in the fourth game.

I'm not saying it's stupid to think otherwise if you didn't know, but stubbornly putting your foot down and flaming someone else when you have no real evidence to back up your opinion just shows how pissy of a mood you must be in all the time.

That just disappoints me. .hack//SIGN was a great anime, but it seems too tainted by a huge fanbase of rabid morons to be anything good. This kinda effected Inuyasha as well. Inuyasha is a very good anime, but due to the massive amounts of people that obsess over it, it seems too mainstream. I'm afraid this will happen to Wolf's Rain too, though I haven't noticed anything too extreme yet.

While I'm on the subject of Inuyasha, I'm not sure it was originally intended to be as long as it is. There are too many pointless, side-tracking episodes in which nothing special happens. The Shikon Jewel is almost complete, so I'm not sure they can delay the inevitable for too long. They're reaping a decent profit from the series, but come on, if they make the jewel shatter again I will give up altogether.

In short: n00bs are the archenemies of anime. Actually, they're the archenemies of a lot of things, but you get my point... I hope.

Damn it all.

So, last night my computer, or rather Windows, spazzed out and made the theme half classic Windows and half XP default. Needless to say, my dad automatically accused my downloading of things to be the problem.

My name, file, or whatever you want to call it, was fine, so I have no idea what it was. So this morning I system restored back to about March. How stupid am I?

Very.

My pc reinstalled FFXI, succeding in eating up many megabytes of memory. And it wouldn't let me uninstall it, because freaking Windows didn't restore the entire system file.

So I thought: Well great, I'm a dumbass, but not a problem. I'll just undo the system restore. But Windows wanted to make me miserable by not letting me. I even tried to restore to yesterday. It said it did, but it definitely did not.

For the next few hours I slaved away manually restoring the pc back to its previous state. And what did I get? An almost 50% full C Drive, rather than the 25% that I had originally. I'm ecstatic with joy.

But oh well, at least I have a computer. I still want to get the hard drive cleared and start over though.

Among the missing...

I haven't seen Godel in a while. She hasn't updated her mO either. I remember her mentioning that she isn't allowed to use the computer during the summer, so maybe that's why.

I can't wait for the changes that'll take effect during the summer. New skins for the OB, improvements to the Adventure Arena, and an arcade.

This has definitely been a good year for OtakuBoards, even though I've only been around since October.

I'm also thinking about doing a Phantasy Star Online spoof-type-thing either as something in the Literature forum, or a Roleplay. It'll involve the various things that my friends and I did while playing the game. This will include the infamous...

Natar.

I know, he isn't infamous to you, but to me and several other people, he is. The story-thing will also include run-ins with n00bs. I may use actual dialogue that I remember rather than exaggerating, because what they said is funny enough as it is.

*twitch*

Ha. If you look at my guestbook, you'll notcie that Adam posted in it, which made me very happy. The comment was something about my layout.

Now, I have the sneaking suspicion that that was his way of saying he had noticed the extreme likeness of my layout to... anothers.

I'll admit, I did steal many ideas, but hey, my site looks considerably more original than it used to be. And so, yes, I am working on a different, design. ^^

Glass shurikens

So, Kill Adam Volume 1 is complete. It was, as I said on James's myOtaku, very kick-ass. I hadn't expected Joshua to die, but oh well. At that point I had no idea what to expect. Who knows, maybe he isn't even dead. *music*

Today also concluded my third or fourth archery class. I got to use a compound bow at the end. It would be fun the shoot someone through with it, but then one must consider the consequences...

...Anyway...

Why must [adult swim] torture me by airing Wolf's Rain only every Saturday? They did that for .hack//SIGN too. So evil is the extent of cable programming.

Give me anime, or give me death!

Oh, I also found an incredibly awesome comic called CTRL+ALT+DEL, which follows the lives of two obsessive gamers, a freelance web designer/hippie, and a girl gamer. I know it sounds wierd, but it's really funny.

See it here

Oh, and as you may have noticed, I got my computer to display Asian characters. The side just says "Brave Warrior"

And that's why lines on the road are yellow.

My incredible stupidity astounds even me. I was swordfighting (AKA stickfighting) with a friend, when for no reason, I decided to hurl my weapon at him like a harpoon. Had this beeen a real battle, I would have killed him.

But since it wasn't it tore his lip pretty bad due to braces. He got three stitches. So yes, I'm a dumbass. Throw fruits at me.

A lazy day in paradise.

Yes, today was my first day of summer vacation, and I enjoyed it greatly. I enjoyed waking up at 10:30 (I would have slept later, but my mom made me get up) rather than 6:30. I enjoyed staying up and watching most of [adult swim] on a weekday. I enjoyed...

Well, just the basic idea of not having to do anything. I've also redone my mO again, for about the fifth time. No doubt I'll change the color scheme a bit in the future, but I'm genuinly happy with this entry background what with the grass/reed design on the right...

...for now.

The Greek on the left says 'who we are'. I'm not sure how long the post will be, so what it fully says is 'ποιοι είμαστε'. I'm really liking ancient Greek culture for some reason. I think it's because my Social Studies teacher was fanatical about it. Oh well. Which reminds me... I haven't yet seen Troy.

While I'm on the subject of movies, I'd might as well mention that I saw Paycheck about an hour ago simply because my parents rented it, and I had been bored at the moment. And wouldn't you guess, the highlight of the movie was that I got to see Uma Thurman. Sadly, she is the only actress I'll ever recognize immediately, simply because Kill Bill is my all-time favorite movie.

So yes, enjoy the layout while you can, because you know I'm just going to change it again.

random AIM RP segment of the [insert timeframe]:

Swordia7:"You..you were gonna sell my porno!!" Bear screamed
Swordia7: He tackled Rebbeca and rubbed her face in the floor
Swordia7: "You bitch!"
SkyBlazer56: "Thats just super." Neptune yelled, "But tell me where Bio went!"
Swordia7: "He's going to kill his son" Chaos yawned for he just got out of bed
SkyBlazer56: "I'd like a planet." Neptune said angrily.
Swordia7: "Main Planet,"
Swordia7: "The place with the slutty outfits" Amber added
SkyBlazer56: "Good. You've been of some help."
SkyBlazer56: Neptune disappeared.
SkyBlazer56: Neptune rappeared.
SkyBlazer56: "Who can take me there?"
SkyBlazer56: He pointed at Amber.
Swordia7: "Hi,"
SkyBlazer56: "You, rapist, take me to your illigitimate son."
Swordia7: Amber nodded

And then there was one...

Yes. Tomorrow is the last day of school.

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

yea, I know the past updates have been really short, but that's because I really have nothing to write about other than school being let out.

Which is definitely something to write about.

Next time I post, I'll probably be rabid with freedom.

*twitches spasmatically and foams at the mouth*

Just though I'd fill you in on my current mentality, if you so wish to call it that.
