A change in pace.
Well, today has already been different than my usual summer days. While my mom was at the bank, my dad was at work, and my brother at the mall, my younger brother had some kind of seizure.
After attempting to get the broadband adapter to work on my Gamecube, I walked downstairs to get something to eat. In the sunroom, my brother was on his side with his back to me. I walked over to see what he was doing, and when I saw him, I knew something was wrong. He had drool all over his face, his lips were blue, and his eyes looked glazed over. So I turned him on to his back, wiped to the stuff off his face, and tried to get him to breath better, because he sounded like he was having trouble due to the stuffy sound of his breathing. After, I called my dad, who in turn called an ambulence.
My dad had recieved instructions over the phone as to what to do, so I propped his head back, and tried to open his mouth, which was rather hard. I got it open a bit, and after that he was breathing at a semi-normal rate. So I went back to the phone. He suddenly sat up, looked at me, and yelled in surprise.
I thought everything was over, so I told dad he was up. But then I realized he wasn't really responding to me, or saying anything that sounded like words, so I went back over to him. Soon after the paramedics, my dad, my mom, my grandparents, and several neighbors arrived. The paramedics did a few tests in the house, such as checking his blood pressure and stuff, and then took him out to UMASS. I went to the hospital along with my grandparents, where I stayed for about half an hour.
The paramedics offered to drive us back to our house since the only car my parents would be able to get back in was my grandparents, so we accepted, and now I'm home.
Needless to say, today was already stressfull enough. |
