   Compys in the Shop
Both of the computers we have will have to be repaired. I am not certain how long they will be under repairs, but you might not be hearing from me for a while.

Yesterday we arrived in Tippecanoe and visited Aunt Jeannie in her summer cottage home. It's very quaint, not an awful lot to it butit was near the lake and the lake was lovely. We did an awful lot of talking and catching up on current events on Mother's side of the family. I heard that Cousin Kenny recently celebrated his 40th. Jeannie came all the way from her first home in Louisville to go to the surprise birthday party in Lincoln, Nebraska. It as marvelous to spend time on the lake and watch other cottage dwellers play and fish. Jeannie made us a terrific supper. We had ramen salad, chicken and chocolate mandarin orange pie. Everything was sensational. My mother wrote the recipe down for the pie for good measure. Sadly, none of us slpt too well Thursday night. Father's portable seabap wasn't operational and he didn't recieve one wink. When he fell asleep he was afraid he'd stop breathing but kept himself awake. We discovered how to play Boggle before we went to bed. It's a rather fun, but challenging game. Father promised me we'd get one for ourselves someday. Other than the slight boredom of the small cottage and the fact that we weren't certain whether Jeannie would let us watch TV or not, I was able to finish "60 Minutes" in a day or two. It's a fascinating documentary and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in history post WW II or th development of journalism on TV. I'm interested in hearing what my father has to say once he has read it. The rest of the day will be eventful since I have to fill out applications for the State. I'm praying I have a call from someone once we return home. I'll never forget the new friends I've made at Tippecanoe. There was an older man named Steve who was very nice but had been through some rather harrowing experiences. He's a very religious man and a good friend of Aunt Jeannie's. The other man was named Andy and he was a Renaissance Man. Not only was he working on his Masters in Electronics, but he was also working on Marketing among other subjects.
Very intelligent, handsome and within age range, also single--The only trouble is he lived too far away to even consider a possible relationship but it was nice of Jeannie to notice that he was availible. Well, that's it for today. Mother returns to work fairly soon so technically vacation is done. However, she and I are going to Curves tomorrow and we're thinking of Eteljorde and Louiville for the future. I'll just be pleased to see my babies (Lisa and Peanut) again.

Will be away on Thursday/Friday
Bad News:
I didn't get the position at the State for Environmental management (it was too far away from home, and besides the State will not pay for housing, and not only that but it was in a bad area and I prefer not to be located in an area with so many problems)
Peter Jennings is now no longer with us. For those of you who know, he died of lung cancer yesterday at the young age of 60-something. It's really too bad that he had to die so young but his cancer was virilent. He will most certainly be missed.

Good News:
I signed up for a job close to home PT that needs no prior experience but one can work their way up. I have also contacted the HR director of UIndy for a possible interview for work as an Admin Assistant. According to my good friend, who works there as a Professor, they need Admins. Also I have signed up for various positions at the State, Hospitals and will try signing up for work at Walgreens. Now, about the main topic of this entry...On Thursday, my family and I are going to visit relatives and will be away for 2 days. This is mother's last hurrah before High School commenses.

   Why I've Been So Busy...
This weekend I saw Sky High, went to Buca to eat and dropped off some items we didn't need at Half-Price Books and Goodwill. I am not using the computer in my room because we've discovered that the airconditioner has a leak and the boards under my bed have risen. Not only is it musty, but it is dangerous to be working in my room with water standing around.
So, in other words if you don't see any stories from me for a while, that's the main reason.

About yesterday, I *was* going to post my ProJark fanart but didn't have time. I saw The Importance of Being Earnest (always a favorite of mine) in Nashville (IN) after going to contemporary service. You see, my parents had slept in the night before. Demolition Derby at the Fairgrounds is held two nights in a row.
Saturday night just happened to be louder than Friday night and my parents didn't sleep too well through it. There was also an altercation in a truck in front of the house early Sunday morning (cursing and name calling) so that didn't help matters much. But nonetheless, we made it to church. I also met a nice girl named Ashley and our family is going to try to help her and give her a soft place to fall (she's going through a lot of hardship right now).
So, that's what's been happening. Sorry I haven't been so responsive as of late !

   Yes !
I received two acception letters from the State (FSSA Div of Aging & Rehab and Environmental Management) ! This is sensational news ! I am not sure if either one of the agencies will contact me but my name has been forwarded to the HR department. So, at least they're not rejection letters. Something is bound to turn up someday. I'm optimistic. :D

   Recent happenings
Yesterday, I volunteered at the fair and it was a lot of fun. Luckily it wasn't too hot and I had water to drink to keep myself hydrated. If I'm asked to do it next year, I will be more than happy to help where I am needed.

Bad news is I recieved 2 rejection letters and news that a job I had been qualified for was being filled from the inside so that letter too, was also bad news. However, I will not give up and continue looking for work. Something's bound to turn up. ^-^
