Rejection Letters (But Unimportant)
Well, it's official. I recieved two rejection letters, nothing new, nothing unusual. One was from Mt. Gilead Church and the other was from Home Bank. I was disappointed with the second but I figured that someone better had been selected. This isn't the point at the time. Mother's health is improving and she has recieved over 8 flower baskets and 20+ Get Well cards. She has also had plenty of visitors and will have yet another tonight. We'll be getting food from some friends (we've been getting lots of food as well). Excellent news...We just recieved a call from Dr. Beck, the surgeon responsible for mother's kidney removal. Mother's prognosis of the kidney was excellent. So, we're halfway there to knowing what we need to know.

Getting Better All The Time
Mother has been getting around the house without any trouble and was able to take a bath today. She has called upon me to get her water and pills (for slight pain), but other than that she is beginning to feel even better than she did yesterday. It's a gradual process but like all things that are worth it in life, it takes time and patience.

Post Op Day #4
It's official ! Mother is now at home with us and relaxing, enjoying a Fazoli's Italian Ice and taking it easy. Prognosis for the uterus and kidney won't be availible until Monday. Mother's stitches also won't come out for a good while but we have someone close to home with the expertise to take them out. Unlike most weekends, Father and I are going to stay home and tend to mother's needs. She is very important and we want to make certain she will heal faster. Of course she won't be able to go back to work for a bit but this is to be expected. Other than this, she is doing remarkably well ! ^-^

Post Op Day #3
Mother was moving around a lot today, and had no catheder. Also, she took some pain medication (IVs were still in, but not hooked up to morphine). She actually had some food for dinner (nothing big, but at least it's sustenance). She felt even better when we were there, and she appreciates everyone's prayers, cards and words of kindness.

Good days, bad days...
Mother was having some nausea today and finally had some gas. We don't know if she'll be on solid foods soon or not. We're still waiting for final diagnosis on the uterus and kidney. According to the doctors, she might get the catheder out tomorrow. She is getting plenty of exercise but is having a lot of pain. She's taking it in stride and I admire her strength. I believe she will come through with flying colors.

Uncanny Strength
We just discovered that mother is doing well and the diagnosis of the kidney was magnificent thus far. However, the doctors haven’t really come to a conclusion. It will take a number of 5 to seven days to know if the tumor is something to worry about or not. But, she is looking fabulous and is in tremendous humor today. She doesn’t need much morphine, which is a good sign. Also, the main surgeons who worked on her are listening for bowel signs and they heard some today. She is also belching, which is also terrific (normally, belching isn’t good, but in this case…it is.). Tomorrow, we will be visiting her again and I will keep you updated on her. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, they are very much appreciated.

Successful Surgery
Mother's surgery lasted for 5 hours straight but thus far the diagnosis has been nothing but positive. Doctor Look said the cancer was contained and she came through everything spectacularly. She needed no blood and her blood pressure was regulated. Doctor Beck, the nephrologist said that the kidney cross-section had a questionble mass in it. However, there was a committee that overlooked that very cross-section and said the tumor was begnin.
Of course, Doctor Beck was elated by this but we won't know about the result until we return today. Please keep praying everyone. I will keep you updated.

Cancelled
I recieved a call today from Wishard and they cancelled my interview. They also stated that they didn't know when it would be rescheduled...if ever. Disappointed, of course. But I believe that everything happens for a reason. Besides my mother is having surgery Wednesday so it was an innoportune time to have an interview. I just thank God that I won't be driving to the city for work...Gas is expensive. So, I will continue looking and hoping I will get a call closer to home.

El Papa (The Pope)
You lived a long, fruitful life
Full of service and love for God
Those who were fortunate enough to be touched by you
Are still moved to spread the gospel like you
Although you are at home with the Saints
Your memory and message remain with us
We need to be more open to caring
Even we don’t feel we can
You taught us faith and hope are integral
Whatever one may believe
We are all brought closer together
Though we still have a long way to go
We can still learn from your example
As a faithful follower of Christ also.

Under Construction
Stories I Am Working On...
1) We're Not Kids ! We Came to Play, We Came to Win (My first DICE fanfiction)
2) Dreams Realized (Ice Princess fanfic)
3) Long Haired Larry (original story)
4) Urban Legend (original story)
5) Key to the Ancient Ways (original story)
6) Lord in Waiting (original script: comedy/romance, fantasy)
7) Tears of a Stranger (original story)
8) Saturday Night Sebastian (JCA fanfic featuring Sebastian, his sister Sonia and Wei Airen !)
:omg: I have an interview Monday at Wishard.
Please wish me luck. I'm not really wanting a position so far away from home but if it is open to me I will take it until something better comes along. I also called Environmental Council and turned them down because I would have to be walking around shady neighborhoods I didn't know and that is very dangerous for a woman...
Anyway, there are plenty of other positions out there. God will provide.
