   WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !
Shake n' bake, baby. Shake n' bake ! :D I saw Talladega Nights yesterday and absolutely adored it. I'm not a NASCAR fan at all, but this is by far the most hilarious parody and wildest Will Ferril movie I have seen in a long time. I was laughing so hard I was coughing. When I came out of the movie, I thought I had pulled a muscle ! That's hearty laughing ! Ricky Bobby, Cal and Jean were my favorite characters athough I loved the whole Bobby family. Dale Earnheart Jr, Jeff Gordan and a famous reporter from Indy were in it (he only had speaking parts in other films, this time we actually see him on camera) so, I thought that was pretty spiffy. Beyond the insanity of the movie, (still making me laugh), I saw an old friend from my days at Camp Bedford. His name is Rev boB (that's how he spells it) Henning. He's really incredible. He writes his own songs and I remembered all the old songs from his first album, "Grandfather's Mirror", which I have two copies of. It was so touching to be remembered by such a good friend, let alone not having seen them for so 8+ years ! @_@

We went to Edinburgh to do some shopping today, and got a lot of stuff on sale. If you smell coconuts, that's me. ;) I am also working on a number of different stories. Here's what I am doing now... Recently posted was "Something's In the Basement", which is a little bit of a suspense story.

1. Bungle Low

2. Traveling Is In My Nature (Cars again, in progress)

3. I Wanna Go Fast ! (Cars/Talladega mesh, in progress)

4. Tough As Bolts (Cars, in progress)

5. Lost In the Realm of Dreams

6. Onka's Bracelet

7. Centerfold

8. Sentinels of the Sentry

9. Caught in the Crossfire

10. Indigo Kids

11. Project: Chocolate/Vanilla

12. Earth Angel

13. Illusions of Grandeur

14. If You're A Tax Collector, You Must Be Lonely

15. Nada Mas (Nothing More)

16. A Question of How

17. Either You Walk the Dog or the Dog Walks You

18. Songlian's Journey

19. Xandra's Treasure

   Yes, yes, yes !
I have been busy since the weekend. I worked at the 4H Pork tent yesterday and overheated but I was able to work my entire shift. My shift was from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. It was the hottest it has ever been in Indiana, and humidity and I don't get along at all. Despite that, I was able to alternate from burger to fries to drinks without much trouble. With plenty of water to drink I survived. But I swear I lost about 5 lbs working just by sweating. I am still waiting for the last call from Cook saying my final reference called in and I can be interviewed again (or start work, I hope it's the latter). Besides that, I am keeping myself busy and I have been reading oodles and gobs of different books. I recently became a fan of the manga Claymore, which is interesting if you enjoy the supernatural. I also read Vol. 20 of Kare Kano, which expands upon the story that was never finished in the anime. Vol. 21 is the conclusion and I am really excited to see how it ends. I am hoping I can get to work as soon as I can. Keep your fingers crossed everyone. Beyond that we really have to start knuckling down and clean up the house. We're thinking of moving, possibly. Other than this, nothing too exciting is going on other than the fact I am looking forward to going to the F1 race in 2007 with my friend, Eric. One word for you...FERRARIS ! ^_^ Ferraris=Heaven

   Back From Vacation
Tuesday, July 18

Started early and helped dad on our trip to South Haven, MI. Saw Al Capone's home (it has a tin roof on one of the structures. We got a little lost on the way but got directions to South Haven and made it the rest of the way, thanks be to God. Now that we're at the Hampton Inn, I remember exactly why I love it so much here...it's so tranquil ! Once settled in, we decided we wanted Italian food for dinner. We went to eat at a magnificent Italian restaurant called Tellos (their meatballs were even better than Buca's if that's possible). Dad and I dropped mom off at the hotel and stopped over at Sherman's Dairy to get some ice cream. We were lucky enough to see a 10 classic car parade. Everything from muscle cars to the gorgeous Corvair (even a HEARSE) were there. I also was introduced to the flowering Japanese maple tree. It is much like a Hibiscus.

Wednesday, July 19

Like last night, we went to see the Lake, but first we stopped at Ward's shop, Biddy Murphy's. Ate at Clementines (exceptional food, I highly recommend it), got a new South Haven shirt and a replica of the South Haven lighthouse at the local drugstore as well as a really beautiful lighthouse ornament. Returned to the motel to cool down and watch DS9. I was able to finish the Second Summer of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. It was a stupendous read. I can't wait to begin the third book as soon as I can. In fact, I did begin the third and supposedly final book in Brashare's series. Even if she doesn't write another book, I still think she's a fabulous writer. We wanted to eat something for dinner but were rather full from Clementine's so we decided to eat at Big Boy. While waiting for our food, there was a human lookalike of Chick Hicks (I kid you not) who was doing a spread eagle to get his food and avoid hitting the sneeze guard at the buffet. He noticed me watching and gave me a "like what you see" sort of look. I rolled my eyes. We filled the tank at Wal-Mart and returned to the hotel. I swam after watching Wheel and Jeopardy. Didn't stay long because the water was a little warm.

Thursday, July 20

Saw the lake one last time before going to sleep last night. Woke up and had a terrific breakfast before heading out for home. Made absolutely sure everything was packed before we left Hamilton Inn. Made one last stop at the Kokomo Red Lobster before returning home.

T-shirts seen at Kokomo Cracker Barrel

"Road Warrior--Lead, Follow, or Get out of the way !"

"I'm not tailgating, I'm drafting !"

Road signs...

Doc's Family Diner

Grissom Air Force Base & Museum

Bunker Hill--Indy's First Drag Strip

Honker's Family Restaurant

Papa Pepperoni's (this restaurant looked exactly like Luigi's Casa Della Tires !)

You just passed gas !

"Guess you can say I'm in outside sales.--billboard"

Eat here, get gas ! Tipton Family Restaurant

   Stupid Waiting Period...
It was one test after another yesterday. It began with some dexterity tests (which are neither counted toward me or against me), a video observation test (multiple choice), and a few more written tests (3 to be exact). I think I did well but I have confidence that I did a fairly good job. I wasn't so nervous as I thought I would be. Even if I didn't do well on a specific area, they'll let me retake the test I didn't do well on. I just wish I didn't have to wait for a week to know how well I did on the tests. Hopefully I did tremendously so I can move on, take another test, get my interview and get a damned job. Pardon my french. It is just getting on my last nerve not to have a permanent job and to feel like my skills are useless.

   About Aunt Kay
I have marvelous news and a bit of bad tidings as well. My Aunt Kay is doing well although she is still weak. She should be released from the hospital soon. As for my Cousin Mark, he is a crack addict. He has been leeching my Aunt Kay dry and stealing from her all so he can support his addiction. It would be great if the girls helping my Aunt could either get him into rehab or just kick his sorry butt to the curb. >_< It really irriates me that Mark's just getting away with this crap. That's about all I know for the time. Seems like there might be a move for my Aunt and family in the future...but other than that, I really have no idea what is coming next for her. She's been through a lot. Also, keep my father in prayer. He's been sick for 2 days. I think it's a bug. Doctor took him off of the medication that was reacting badly with another he was taking, but this isn't the underlining cause of his sickness. Thank you for your support.

   Possible Job Opportunity
Glory, Hallelujah ! I believe God has finally answered my prayer that I have been asking for years now. I have a job interview and test coming up on July 6th, 2006. I have to wake up early that morning and take something to eat since there is no eating facility there. I am a little anxious but this is the opportunity of a lifetime ! I could possibly get a job at Cook. I have to begin as a manufacturer, which isn't quite the job I had in mind to start out but I am willing to do so because I can make a difference for others and truthfully it is what I feel I was meant to do on this planet as a start before I begin making larger strides in my ambition to become a voice-actress/animator/film director. These things will come in time but it will take a while, and I am aware of that. I thank GOD that this has occurred and it really seems that my life is going great guns now. Praise Him ! It's because of Him, not me, and I am extremely grateful. I really don't know what else to say right now because I am in complete reverence of just how magnificent God is and how much He loves me ! :)

Sensational News !
I have a praise report to share. Aunt Kay's surgery has been successful, but the problem is that she has to undergo *another* surgery. Isn't that insane ? Well I am not worried because I am aware that she is in good Hands. I haven't heard heard anything from Suzie but I'm keeping my ears open. My work should be coming to an end the week after next. I have been applying for work but it doesn't seem like anything is sticking. I won't give up ! *holds fist up, takes a stance of determination* Something will come and when it does, I will be ready !

...
I recieved some awful news recently about my Aunt Kay. I have heard that the infection she had has moved to the bone. The doctors are scheduling for her to have a surgical removal of her sternum (which could result in death, which wasn't mentioned, but mom, myself and dad all are aware of this) and protect her heart by placing a flap of skin over it. The question remains, where are they going to find the skin, and will they be taking out the lungs too in the process ? Whatever the result, it is definately dire news for Kay. Please keep her in thought and prayer. Despite this bad news, I have high hopes. I have a lot of high hopes and there will be a job fair coming up July the 10th, so at least I have something to look forward to in the future. I already have an awful lot to look forward to anyhow !
