Getting better..Hopefully

Well things have been a little on the draining side lately.

My parents are moving to england. The roof starts leaking. Than the basement leaks from the roof repairs. The dog vomits blood. And by the time that starts to all mend itself up. My brother gets into an accident on his motorcycle/scooter (depends on who you ask what it is) the week before my parents leave. And a computer crashed at work.
So now my father is living with my brother while he recovers from a broken leg (that's all that happened), my mother is going a little batty from trying to get everything ready for England on her own (she leaves on Monday) and my sister just found out that Orphan Works passed the Senate. Yes that bill I have been complaining about is back and getting fast-tracked through approval.*sigh* I wanted to think of ways to make more money while my parent's are gone but if I can't use my art I'm not sure what I am going to do. And my job you might wonder after comment. Low on hours but high on training demands.

*sigh* I think I am going to need a week off from the world after a while. Here is the orphan works protest letter and telephone numbers if you want to do anything with them.

Call the House Judiciary Committee staff at 202-225-3951. I was told the Judiciary Committee is not set to act on this, and they do NOT set floor policy. She suggested I speak to the Speaker of the House...202 225-0100.

A Long Week Recap

Well this is going to be long so I broke it down.

MY FOOT- The doctor did the first cut wrong. So part of the nail was still pushing into my toe and hurting my foot alot! It took all weekend and Monday before I could go back to his office to get him to remove it. And all the way to up him pulling it out he denied that it was the nail plate and that he did it right the first time. But after it came out my foot felt sooo much better! Now it is healing up like it is sapposed to.
(If the nail is removed it will grow back in a couple months. If they do a thing to it that will prevent the growth than it won't come back.)

MOVIES- I have been to see three moives. Here are my reviews-
Kung Fu Panda- Funny and rewatchable. Great for people that like the old martial art movies or CG animations.
The Hulk- A Good Hulk movie. Not at all like that other thing that came out a few years back. If you know the Hulk storyline though you can pretty much tell how it is going to go. But it is a good watch.
Wall-E- A good romantic adventure without alot of talking. The time did fly while I was watching it. It is a cute movie. But does not have the rewatchablity of previous Pixar/Disney. Almost had a tragic hero.

(I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't seen them yet.)

Sad things- Found another bug on my dog. First was a flea this was a tick. I'm not sure if the new lump I found on her was a side effect of the bugs or if she is sick.
On that day my mom had a bee on her so it was the day of bugs.

This past weekend I found out that one of my favorite comic book artist died. Michael Turner the original artist behind Witchblade,Fathom and Soulfire died from cancer. He did some issues of Batman and Superman.
When I was younger I wanted to draw my women to be like his. I still want my men to look to his. (They look so good with the long hair or short.I haven't been able to do that.)
I know I'll miss seeing what he was going to come up with next. While a few things looked similar I loved how he did several things; like wings,transformation,designs. And I will miss seeing what would come next.

I don't feel good

I hate this feeling it happenes everytime. I had my large toenail removed again. It was an ingrown toenail. Normally they take off the part with the ingrown but this time he ripped off the whole thing. And I think the drugs he gave me are making me worse... I going to lie down before my stomach gets any worse.

Does theO still have the love?

That's a fun question that I have seen floating around the new Otaku.com recently.
So how do you feel about that?

Since theO and MyO are beginning to make up now I thought I should start posting here a little more often. I say a little because I'm boring. *Sigh*

Anyway! House work is progressing slowly but still moving along. We are getting filecabinets for the office and working through boxes. They still don't like the idea of me building things for either room. (I want power tools. Wood is sooo pretty.)
We haven't had offical news yet on when my mom is going to be transfer to England. If she doesn't get it soon my parents won't be able to come home for Christmas this year.

The new job is going ok. I should probably study more for it... I really should do that.

Picture wise I got one I want to color on the computer and atleast one more concept to draw out. Than I'm going to try and work through Festival since its been so long going through it.

Well that is about it. I hope I haven't bored you to death.

Please Help! Orphan Works Bill is coming

The Orphan Works Bill has made it pass the House and is on its way to be rushed through the Senate. It is a bill that allows any image on the interent to used by all people with no rights reserved by the original creator. This means fanworks that you have posted are doomed; fanart, wallpapers,e-cards,fanfictions and even your vacations are on the chopping block for everyone's use and abuse.

Just because

Well I'm not sure who comes around here to read anything anymore but I'm putting this here just in case.
I know I'm sapposed to focusing on my art to get through my list of projects but I had a three day weekend and got distracted.

My mom and I started stripping the wallpaper from our kitchen. Suggestion- Steamers are great! And try to get a better helper than a 60+ arthritic woman! My mom helped as much as she could but even she said that I ended up daoing most of it. (Including going downstairs to get supplies and claiming the ladder to paint closer to the ceiling.) She didn't know how to use the steamer yet so I did that part too.
And the big news of it. IS that we only have the primer up! We still have to actually paint the kitchen the new color!
*sigh* Good news is that it does look really bigger. That wallpaper was terrible.

Now to rest by doing a week at work and than going back to finish up the kitchen next weekend.

Are you still kicking?

I know I have no room to talk. I haven't been around much lately. I'm sick now and have had nothing but stress recently. I'm still hunting down a new job. Got a pretty good lead. My taxes made me nuts. I'm really hating my current job. My family situation isn't making enough changes for me and thus we are all getting anrgy with each other. And not to mention all the wierd mail I'm getting and not getting.

*blah*

But now for the big question that is floating around.
Are you going to stay with theOtaku through all its changes or are you moving on?

So far I'm staying. I'm a four year old otaku.com-user and have no current plans of moving. You?

Hello!

Well I have a few things to say...sorta. ^^

It seems to be birthday weekend for me.

My friend Raynear
birthday is today. He has come back only recently after a long absence from theO. Feel free to drop him a line. ^^

My sister's boss is having her C-Section tomorrow and that will welcome a baby girl if all goes well.

Than on Sunday is my birthday. That makes one a day for the next three days!

And my first four application came back with 3 rejections and 1 didn't even call back.

Oh! Another announcement is that waywardwarrior is having a contest that he extended till March.

Unfortunetly Short

Unfortunetly I have to keep things short for a while. Life decided to start the new Year off with a bang and add to my stress level. (So yeah I have several things I have to check on regularly now. *blah* I hate job hunting. Maybe I should start selling... nevermind)

I hope that your Christmas and holidays were fun and that you got alot of great stuff! (I filled out several manga and dvd collections. ^^And my friend Raynear has returned to theO!)
