Todays Exams:
Englsih LIT - War Literature unit (unseen war literature extracts) 3hrs
Classics - Greek and Roman Epic (The Odyssey and The Aenead)1 1/2hrs

I had four and a half hours of exams... they clashed, I was supposed to have them both on the morning but the Lit been three hours I had to move my Classics into the afternoon. This meant that I was invidulated (with afew others who were taking the same subjects). This is where we had to be watched over so that we didn't talk to anyone over the lunch break exept amongst ourselves. If anyone talked to us we had to ignore them of risk failing the exam O_O. I think altogether I wrote about 12 A4 pages of smallish writing. My hand is killing me, and my back. I wish exams wouldn't clash >_<

The exams themselves were okay, Unseen Lit paper had afew I'd read before, (if you aren't interesting in war Literature you can skip this ~_^ ) There was a letter from Vera Brittain, and I'd read (most of) her book Testament of Youth which was boring (I'm being honest) some kinda crappy stuff... and there was my favourite and what I consider ther greatest war poem of all time on it which I'm gonna post cause it's that good, I'm sure everyone will have read this at some point:

It's such a powerful poem, I love all Owen's work but this one gives me goosebumbs everytime I read it.

On the Classics (if your still with me) *Kicks anyone who's asleep* :p Virgil and Homer Rock! So when you enjoy your studies you tend to do better *crosses fingers* One of the questions I chose was, Who is more heroic Odysseus or Aeneas? there were also some context questions with passages from both of the books... Oh god I hope it did okay, I don't find out 'till August *cries*

Since this post might be considered boring *sigh* :p I thought of something fun that might jazz it up, so please join in, it's only fun if there's more than one ^_^

I'm posting this because it reminds me of me because of exams *sigh* I'm a study geek right now, I just to do well becuase I have to catch up from last year when I didn't do too well because my aunty died a week before my exams started, she wasn't an old aunty she was only 37 . My head wasn't in the right place last year, so this year I've had to do some resits and revise like mad to bring my mark up O_O I hate it when adults say they're stressed they have no idea, these exams determine what I do in life!

YEY!!! My wallpapers have passed the 1,000 download mark!!! I'm sooo pleased. I kinda have to tidy my room now so I'm gonna post a bit later with some pics or something O_o

Man I'm so tired, I was at Youth Orchestra pracice last night, it's half an hour drive away and I didn't finish packing up till 9.45pm because as I'm 2nd Oboe I've also automaticaly voluntered myself to play the Cor Anglias (Like an oboe only bigger) My little finger just won't strech any more and it kept cramping up :( And it takes me ages to pack away because I have 2 instruments to juggle now. It's really annoying because you need to warm up the reed before you play it so every time we switched pieces I was scrambling for the other instrument and trying to sound in tune before I had to play. I need an oboe stand so I can switch easier. I have way too many solos I'm too shy to play and they wind up squeaking >_<.

I know I'm making it out to be awful but it's not that bad, I'm going on tour with them this year to Italy, staying at Venice and Verona *jumps up and down* can't wait!!! ^_^

I'll post later with something more interesting and possibly Anime related :p

I had the piano tuner round at 10 o clock this morning *yawn* I'm suposed to be sleeping in 'till 1pm I'm on study leave for crying out loud >_<. Although I was woken up at 7.30am 'cause my bro needed a ride to school *_*. I also had an oboe lesson AND a piano lesson! So I'm all music-ed out *starts twitching in the corner*...

I'm so tired I have nothing much to say so I'm gonna leave you with pics of my pets that I took hte other day in the garden as they were being so cute...

This is my cat Polly who is about 9, we've had her 8 years, she loves attention, she eats a lot ^_^ and she's very hugable



This is Peter Rabbit, who is also getting old now, I think he's about 7. He's still really cute and runs up to you when you call him.

So... What do ya'll think? :D *head expands* sorry I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself, my home page is coming together *does the happy dance* yey!

I've just finished a FMA wallpaper also, I was feeling kinda artistic *sigh* so plz check it out.

I think I've been around everone's homepages so sorry if I missed someone out, I didn't mean to. Thanks to everyone who went to visit my brother, he is a little zainy, but he does make me laugh so if he posts anything that may be offensive to anyone, he's probably just messing on and not really thinking.

On my last post some of you commented on been in a Catholic school. I have to say, it wasn't as bad as you would think, though the Religious lessons were funny, there was no question on whether there was a god or what kind of god/gods. And if you did ever say anything you'd get a mouthful from the teacher and a detention, sometimes it was worth it though just to wind them up. Oh yeah and we did have mass once every half term, which was the most boring thing in the world, and as I did music I had to be in the choir, and no one would sing with us, they would just hold up their books and stare at you *shudders* It's hard enough to get up and sing infront of people, but to be looked down because of it makes it even harder. Although, just before I left people began to respect my courage a bit more.

I can't think of anything else that was different about my school, at least I can say that I was an 'official catholic schoolgirl' and I came out with most of my sanity still intact :p

okay I did miss him a bit, he does make me laugh. He'd been on a school trip to lourdes, and as he's at a Roman Catholic school he had to go to church every day, sometimes twice a day! lol and he hates church, he'll find any way to get out of going :p.

I've just added a new wallpaper and I'm really proud of it so plz go check it out and tell me what you think. I like the style, I think I might do my wallpapers like this now. I've had a good day, my mam had to have an interview yesterday for her own job as it was only a year contract 0_o, she (of course) got the job and is now staff, I'm so happy for her and so proud of her, she quit her office job last year and is now working with kids for the local council. She's so good at it and so brave for taking that step. We went to the pub to celebrate and shared a bottle of wine. We're having a girly night as my bro is still away and my dad is on a night shift so I'd better get back to it. :D

I've officially left sixth form college now, I'm on study leave, although not much studying has taken place yet... *sigh* I must resist the temptation of watching Naruto >_< it's just sooo damn good!!!!

I've been reading Tim Burton's poem Anthology called The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & other tales It didn't take me long to finish but I keep reading over the poems, they're really weird but at the same time... I don't know, they have something. I bought the book because the guy who sat next to me in English class is obsessed with Burton and loved this book, he said that I must buy it (and it was in Music Zone for £3! :p

I'd post a poem from it but the pictures that go along with them are just as important as the words.

this site has the full collection of poems that you can read, Voodoo girl I think is my favourite. As an English student (starting an English degree next year) I want to understand them more but I can't quite get a hold of them, I think that's why I like them. I know that they're about some kids who are outcasts in society but there is nore than that, why are they outcasts? who made them like this? Do they choose to be like this?

Okay I'm done confusing people now :p hope you are all feeling happy! *hugz* *gets back to music revision* hmph...

As the fresh strawberries had to be eaten up and there is no one else as home (my dad is at work) I just had to finish them off myself ^_^

It's a really nice day today so I'd like to go for a drive or something, I'm going out tonight for an 18th b'day but as my mam is away and I can't afford a taxi I'll have to drive, so I can't drink. I'm not too upset as I never drink too much anyways, I still like to have the choice though :(

glasses again, and I'm a woodwind player in the district youth orchestra, yes it isnt an oboe, but who knows what one of them is anyway? :p
