Well, other than explorer crashing all over the place it's been a good week (I'm now back on good ol' firefox hehe) I've survived freshers week and I've had a great time. I've also met a load of anime fans (one of which is reallycute on the floor below me ;D

I've found an interesting fact out about york that I'm going to share:

There is a law which states that if you are permitted to shoot a scotsman on horseback with a crossbow if you are stood on the city walls.

lol I have a feeling this has to do with the fact that they burnt it down twice ^_^ I've become friends with a guy from Edinbrough on my course and he has stated that he is staying well away from horses and any archery clubs...

I have discovered that all archaeology students do is dig and drink... really... after the intro the third years took us to the pub (about 4pm) and we then went to another pub to watch the england game, I didn't get back till 11ish (and we won btw ^_^) the society is basically a diguised drinking club. It's all very strange lol I'm not a big drinker but I like going to the pub and talking to everyone. We have decided that our occupation is official grave robbing... makes sense really lol

and yes there are lots of ducks at my uni, it's a campus one (ie, not dotted about the city centre) and it has a huge lake in the middle. What really ironic is that if you kill a duck (which is illegal btw) you get kicked out of the uni and aren't allowed to come back. But technically you could kill a lecturer, do your time in jail and then go back and finish your course... that's how imporant the ducks are =/

well yeah I've finally got my connection sorted, and I'm kinda getting used to typing on a laptop (so excuse the really bad typos lol)I've been here since sunday night, lol actually there's a funny story there, my parents were just dropping me back off after taking me out for a meal, wen the 3rd year sticks came back to the block to look for more students, and kinda strolled with with pints in there hands lol so I was dragged off with them before I'd even said goodbye and off to the bar to meet people ^_^ man I was really drunk before I'd got there as my parents had taken me to a spanish resturant and I'd had a 'bit' too much sangria lol anyways, fun fun fun. The girls on my floor are nice too, I'm showing them how to make pancakes before we go out tonight (james bond night lol)

I've met someone on my floor who likes anime anyways (go me!) he's a 3rd year and one of 3 guys on my floor (lucky them) he helped me set up the cables and stuff anyways ^_^ all good!

This might be my last post in a while as I don't know if I'm gonna have time to post before I got to Uni (I leave on Sunday). When you go to some uni's in the UK you get assigned to a college (and that's the difference between universitys and colleges, well it's best to leave it at that anyways ^_^) I'm in Goodricke college, it looks really lively anyways, and all the rooms have internet connection. But I don't know how long it will take for it to get sorted out and get me put on the network... =/ so yeah, it could be a while...

oh yeah I've got a kind of puzzle and I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard of it...

Does anyone know how this can be so by looking at the way things are spelt in the English language? My english teacher showed us it once in a lesson, it's pretty cool. If you're really stuck and can't wait till next post which may be a while you can PM me for the answer and I may be able to get back to you sooner. ^_^

I finished Howl's Moving Castle afew days ago, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. In fact I passed it on to my Grandma who is nearly finished the lastest Harry Potter (eek! she doesn't know the ending yet O_o) lol I would recommend it to people who have seen the film and can't get enough of that moving castle and want more details. The story does trail off differently toward the middle and therefore ending quite diferently to the movie, and some things are totaly different, like a war is not mentioned. I think that this is the only time I will say this, but I think it would be more enjoyable if you watch the movie first. I guess my only reasoning for this is that the book has so many descriptions that are quite hard to depict at times and although Hayao Miyazaki's interpretations of scenes are often slightly different from the books, I personaly think that the animations are a good starting point to begin reading it. I can't think of much else to say, but that the book is not a hard read, I found it in the teenage section so it's not some massive epic or anything. Very easy to read ^_^

Okay, there is my crappy review... I hope this helped any who are considering taking the book on anyways...

I haven't really done much of interest over the past few days, I've been watching more escaflowne, I think I'm just past episode 14, it's getting interesting lol and I've started packing all my clothes and things into the big suitcases and then dumping them in my parents room *evil cackle* my dad is cleaning up my bike now and showing me how to fix punctures and things, all seems to be going well, exept the weather which is grey and misserable, I wish it would just rain and get it over with >_< oh, in other news... my contact lenses came yey!!! it took a month grrr!!!! but they're here! yey!!!!

I think that's about it ^_^ I just have one little favour to ask, and those who have known me a while will have heard this before lol my brother, Night-Beelte is complaining as usual because no one ever visits him, even though he always visits people who comment on his site and gets back to people who sign his guestbook *sigh* he does nothing but moan to me. So if you have any time spare I would really appreciate it and so would he, if you gave him a visit *hugz* of course, this doesn't apply to people who already know him. lol

sorry, back to post, yey I fixed the printer, I found the software CD and installed it, and all is good now ^_^ my dad actually knew where it was, but never thought to say =/

well I'm going bowling today, infact in about half an hour so I'll probs not get round everyone, so I'll do it tonight when i get in if my brother isn't hogging it playing on warcraft, ya know "doing his homework" *sigh*

Just come back from town, I needed afew things and I wanted some people to look at my CV (resumé) and they said it was great (go me!)and I endd up buying CDs as I do lol I got The Corrs' latest album, and Sarah Mclachlan's first album which I haven't head but it was only £2 and a book (I just can't help myself) "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" which was filmed as Blade Runner. I'm interested in reading it as Ridley Scott who directed the film used to live somewhere near me and he based the backsetting ICI where my dad works which on a night looks like a big black lit up city.... Well that's a strange connection but it's the only reason I have =p

I finally finished FMP I was missing the last 4 episodes but I got them yesterday and sat and watched them, I was a bit disapointed with the ending, but there's another series of it that I haven't seen coming out so I can't complain ^_^ I've started watching Yu Yu Hakusho I've seent he first episode anyways, I thought I'd give it a try anyways since so many people rave about it lol and when I've got through all of Inuyasha I might just cry, I need something to soften the blow lol anyways I'll cya around! *waves*

gah, I left my bag at church in the cuboard =/ and it's closed now, I'll have to come back later... *sigh* I had to serve on the alter today, my grandad insisted as it would be the last time before I went away, and he's so proud of me. lol I sould so holy, I've been an alter server since I was 8 but lately I've either been too hungover with all the goodbye parties or just too damn lazy. But I made the effort today for my grandad, and for that I forgot my bag with all my stuff in it. >_< God must love me... -_-

My dad is driving me insane, he gave up smoking about 2 weeks ago, I believe we (the rest of the family) are suffering more than him. He won't stop shouting, holding grudges and arguing, I've had just about enough. The other day, after doing nothing wrong yet he still gave me a mouthful I told him that he was acting like a child, and he stormed out and didn't come back till the pubs closed... isn't that so childish?

Oh I finished watching FMA the other day... I can't wait for the movie, it is a really good series anyway, you guys who are watching it on CN are in for a treat ^_^

That's about it I'm gonna attempt to get round people, aslong as my dad doesn't start freaking about about something. My Ex re-formatted the computer before he left but didn't connect the printer, and I can't find the software to connect it, so my dad is moaning about that, I'll have to get one of the guys who are at tesside uni to help me out. I'll get the one who's doing computer gaming, he should know what to do *prays*

Man my back really hurts... I guess it was too much extreme frizby lol I was in quite a mood yesterday. I think it all started when my mam dragged me out of bed and took me to church, not exactly the most exiting place on earth =/ then my ex told me to call him to catch up, so I did but I think he was in a mood or something cause there were loads of awkard silences hmmmmm... in a text to a friend he said he was "dissapointed with the girls". I think he's regretting our split up lol if that's true it's his own damn fault for telling me two years before that he'd like to see other people when i'm not around and Uni will be full of loads of hot girls who'll be all over him okay, well he didn't say the last bit but it was implied -_-' people are amazed I didn't finish with him on the spot, but well... that's what he was like *sigh* errrmmm so anyways his mood got me in a mood and I was a bit grumpy for the rest of the day. >_<

I haven't really done much else, I did return to a Lord of the Rings forum which I hadn't been to in ages. it's funny when you look back at stuff (I was a crazy, obsessive lotr fanatic for many years, and still am to an extent) Me and a friend used to write parodies of the stories and I'd promised to write one about Arwen and then never came back (till now lol) so I decided to "hand it in late" hehe if you are into lotr and can be bothered you can read it here (it's quite short) and any of the others if ya wanna scroll through the thread and find them... well that's about it. I'll go round your sites now ^_^

I went to york today, as my friend is at st john's college there and I'm gonna be at the york uni in afew weeks, we showed eachother the best shops lol (it is my fav city ever)I've had a great day and I got the train on my own 0_0 I know it doesn't sound much I mean I'm 19 but I'm quite dependant really (although I hate to admit it)the only other time I'd been far on the train by myself was when I went for my oxford interview, so it was scary but fun, and I played extreme frizbe (is that how you spell it? =/) with his christian union group before I went back home. SO happy but my feet hurt, a lot lol ^_^

Congrats to those who got the anime right it was Ragnarok the Animation. Well done to BlAiZeD and Sharingan Itachi
I'll have to find some other random anime to catch you guys out with mwahahahaha! lol

oh yeah I found out today that the reason why I was reminded of york and whitby while watching Howl's moving castle was because it's based on the north east of england. I wasn't just going mad lol it's about time where I live gets some credit lol. Whitby is a cool place, dracula was written in whitby so it's the centre of a lot of goth activity lol sorry I'm blabbing but it's such a cool place, if you ever visit england you must go there (and york of course, I can show you round lol) I'll have to put up some pics sometime and then you'll all go, oh yeah that does look like a scene from the movie lol

Occupation: Student: I've now graduated from Archaeology and have taken up Art History at postgraduate level (because I can...and have) I'm currently working on getting myself onto a Phd course and stay a student forever! Oh yeah and I'm still in York (UK) i love this place
achievements: Graduating, keeping a boyfriend for over a month (a year now infact!)
Hobbies: going to the pub with friends (I have become a fan of real ale! O_o) Fencing (when I have time) drawing, drinking tea (oh god the gloriousness of tea)

Well, the screenshot I posted last was from Final Fantasy Unlimited. Congrats to all those who got it right, and those who guessed some form of FF. You guys win a hug *hugz* for those who tried.. and failed, you can all have a cookie *passes them out* ^_^ If any of you are stuck for what anime to watch next, I wouldn't put it at the top of your list but it should be in there somewhere simply for the who FF novelty value (if that makes sense) In my personal opinion Cid is by far the coolest in this edition (pic below) ^_^



I'm clearing out my wardrobe today... man I have so many clothes that I don't wear, and dont' fit me. So I've thrown a lot out and I'm gonna hand the rest over to my ex boyfriend's (omg that's the first time I've called him that o_O *breathes* I'm fine!) sisters. there's two of them so if stuff doesn't fit one it'll fit the other and they can hand the rest over to a charity store... *sigh* I should get back to it, I think I'm nearly done anyways...

man I've had to fill in a load of forms for uni, everyone has left but me =( and the people who are going to tesside so they can stay at home, I'm so alone... and I need a job! Uni is expensive and my load just won't cover everthing, adn it is only a loan, I will have to pay it back (exept if I don't get a job or skip the country lol) They say I should be spending about £5000 a year my loan is only 3 grand o_O (yes, now is the time to panic and starve)

okay... I bet you can't tell me which anime this is from (I'd give ya a clue but that'd be too easy =p) lol
