Prologue: The beginning before the beginning.

(I've decided that through everything that I've been working I have been ignoring my characters... So in honor of my cursed ones I'm finally starting the first chapter of my book. I'm will be changing things and advice in always need a long with heated constructive criticism. Not "This absolutely sucks!!!" but something likes "I found this part lacking while your character seems shallow." Anyways...)

Darkness drifts over Moonstar. Except for the woman of labor, this night was quiet like many others. In a small hut on the outskirts of the village she struggles with the birth of two babes. Daine screams reaching for her sister, the twins had become impatient and were fighting and hurting their mother in order to be born. Daine watches her Midwife, noticing how her gray hair falling in front of her face as she helps. "You must push again Daine" The mid-wife urges the woman on as her eyes running to over Daine's sister. Lady Silvara, royalty of the small village standing next to Daine, this slip of a girl that will eventually marry her brother.

Takashi, prince of Moonstar paces angrily in front of the small hut. Each of Daine's screams deepening his hatred for the one who put her in this position. That lowly demon scum that plundered their village then rapped Daine well she was away fetching water. It made him sick to think about what Daine had to suffer through. Now she was giving birth to the creature's cursed offspring. A horrible scream echoes from the hut along with the cry of a pup, her baby.

"So it’s done." Takashi waits for a moment before heading to the entrance to check one his love. He is stopped however by the Midwife. She hands his a bundle before telling him to stay, as Daine screams again. Takashi growls at the woman as she shuffles back to the hut. A small growl muffled by the blankets answers Takashi. "Hmm... Silly pup already willing to fight." He moves the blanket away from the pup so he can see it. It was a boy with no demonic markings. That seemed odd to Takashi as he grabs the pup's hand in his gently, tiny soft claws trying to hurt him. "Calm yourself, little one" Takashi smirks at this creature, taking in its features. Bright brilliant straight red hair, two twitching black-fuzzy-wolf ears that were buried in the hair, sharp small fangs that poked out from the young one's lips and two ebony eyes that looked like the pits of hell. This pup will make an interesting adult.

The pup wrinkles its nose looking at the creature in front of him. This thing is not his mother so why is he with it? It growls and he growls back. It grabs his hand he tries to make it let go, then it speaks. The pup growls in reply. He blinks at the large creature, his eyes hinting at confusion and anger as this creature looks over him. It speaks again this time in a soothing manner. How strange, this creature who is not his mother trying to soothe him. This strange creature is examining him. How rude! The pup snaps at the creature before him, before deciding to examine it in return. He is big, tall and muscular, with shoulder length wavy midnight-bluish black hair. The creature has shadowed eyes, those of a predator; they hid the creature’s soul well. The colors of the eyes, however, are a deep chocolate. Some say they are beautiful, the pup thinks they are unnerving. The creature then lifted the corner of it mouth in a small would be smirk before actually smirking. This creature dare smirk at him! The pup growls at him loudly, he would not stand for this treatment. The pup lets out small cries and whines wanting his mother.

Takashi’s small smirk changes quickly to a smile as the pup growls at him. This thing, though cursed as it was, is adorable. He watches as the pup starts to whine and cry loudly. Takashi can tell the boy wants his mother, the pup is hungry.
