Here's something for you to read if you're bored or interested on reading it. Playing Favorites? Dear Dra. Ruiz, I don't know who else I can ask for advice about this.Normally,I would ask my Mom, but in this case I can't because the problem is my Mom. Doctor,she's always playing favorites.It's very obvious that among us,her three daughters,my youngest sister is her favorite.I'm the oldest,19,and my sisters are 16 and 14.My dad diead about seven years ago,and since then my mom raised us by herself,with a little help from my aunts and uncles. I know it's normal for the youngest child to be a parent's favorite. But I think my Mom is over! Like,when I was in highschool, my curfew for parties was 11 pm. Can you imagine that? Usually,the party was just starting and already I had to go home. But at that time,I just accepted it,especially since my Dad had just died at the time and I know my Mom was feeling overprotective about us. Then when my next younger sister got to highschool and I was in college already, her curfew moved to 12 midnight, same as mine.At first,I thought it was unfair since I was older than her and deserved a later curfew, but still my Mom was firm in her decision.So again I just accepted it. But now,our youngest gets stay out till 2 a.m.! That's the same curfew for the three of us.I now know my Mom is so unreasonable when it comes to setting the same standards for us. Should I tell my Mom how I feel about her favoritism? Hmmm....the first thought that came to my mind was: 'Is she really a college student?' For she was complaining about this is so immature and stupid too for me anyway How could you call this favoritism when the only thing that she complains about is the TIME CURFEW? And she should be more focus on her studies more than partying late at night,I mean sure we should take breaks too but partying late? You should just stay home and sleep. And there are some reasons why the mother was extending the curfew. Like she realize she was a bit too strict about it and extended the time. And too make it fair,she gave all of her children thesame curfew aswell. Can't she understand that her mother is quite busy being BOTH parents to her 3 daughters? To HER? If I were here,I wouldn't be worrying about silly things like this. So people give me your thoughts about it ^_^ Agree with me or not,I just want you guys to open up and speak your mind about it.
