Nothing to do really,I'm so bored...........
So time for another 'Speak Your Mind'!
Sell now,play later
While most kids are busy playing with their Barbie dolls and toy cars, others are somewhere else working.Just like Andrew,Beth and Dino, who have to sell "lamas" (spices) in the Mandaue City Public Market to make a living.
They sell the same prices but share different stories.
Eight year old Andrew definitely wants to go to school, but his mother does not want him to.
He carries a big responsibility on such small shoulers, being the eldest of five children. He has to sacrifice his schooling to help his mother.
"My mother wants me to sell these spices so that I can help in raising my younger siblings" he said.
Andrew tries his best to sell everything in his small basket of spices so he can buy food for the family.Otherwise, he gets a spanking.
"My mother will spank me if I cannot sell everything" Andrew said.
"I always see to it that the food I take home is enough for my family. If it not, then I will not eat," the boy tearfully said.
"What I am doing is for my siblings," Andrew said, now with a smile
Leaving home
Beth recalls the years she spent at a social institution that takes care of sexually abused children. She was sent there after her stepfather abused her.
"I left the center because I've been there since I was four.I wanted to go out, the place was too crowded" Beth said in Cebuano.
A fruit vendor whom she calls "Manang Tina," took Beth in her fold.
Beth now lives wither Manang Tina but she works for her.
"That is why I'm selling spices," Beth said.
When asked about her plans of going back to school, she shrugged her shoulder."Maybe later," she said, then thought hard.
"If I insist on going to school no one will finance me and it is all the same if I go to school without money,I would not learn from hunger," Beth explained.
Mother knows best
Unlike Andrew and beth, nine year old Dino is more fortunate: he goes to school.
He helps her mother sell spices only after school hours.Still, life isn't easy for both of them.
"My father left us when I was only two years old so my mother has to raise me by herself," Dino said.
Selling lamas has never been a problem for him since everything that her mother does is for his future.
Despite his extra task,Dino still managed to become an honor student.
Dino doesn't care whenever his classmates tease him about his selling spices.
"After all,I am not stealing," Dino said. "I am doing this for myself and for my mother."
Well there you go.
Pretty long isn't it? But hopefully it's worth to read and that you guys learn something from this.
My thoughts to this,well..................
The three of these kids has been experiencing a hard life and they seem to be more mature than other kids.
Hopefully these kids won't be following the examples of what dirty people would do and say.
Like sex and saying vulgar words.
I really feel bad for them since they never have time to play with other kids since they are busy with work and school.
I hope these three will have a chance of happiness in the future and their hardwork wasn't a waste ^_^
What are your thoughts?

I read this from a fanfic ^_^
Battousai couldn’t seem to get into a comfortable position with Kaoru over his hands so he stopped walking and tossed her high into the air and quickly massaged his knuckles. "You better catch me!" Kaoru screamed in the air.
"I will, if you stop complaining." Battousai braced himself to catch her. Kaoru bit her nails as she came falling back down to Battousai. She landed in his strong arms in astounding fashion and he continued walking on.
Ahahahahha!!! Could you guys just imagine experiencing that, ahahahahha!!!
Awww.......aren't they sweet ^^
