Arg, schools going to start in 2 weeks. Thinking about it makes me think about everything that happened last year. So, I'm kinda going to go a little nostalgic cause I realy need to get this out of my system. Lets start with US History and Mr. Nutter, yes that was his real name and he defentialy lived up to it. He was a...hard to describe teacher. Lets see in his class homework didn't count but you better do it (more of that later), you had nine quarter. One for each week. Every thursday witch was basicaly jugement day you took a quiz on the weeks material. If you had a test it replaced the quiz, same whent for prodjects, but every thursday was a grade. His class you had to study for. Not much maybe 15 minutes to review the material every thursday morning or lunch (depending on the period you had him) for the quiz. If you didn't you'd fail. Lots of people switched out of his classes cause honestly if you can't take quizes well hes not for you. I stayed in cause I was to lazy to switch out, was making good grades in it despite it being hard, and though nutter was an interesting teacher. He expected alot of the class and it didn't deliver though. He once put up a overhead with the number of people in each class that had an a, b, c, d, and e. Our class was the highest with like 4 a, 5 b, 10 c, and the rest d. Most of his class did alot worse, one has 1 a, 2 b, 0 c, and the rest d. These are all honor classes to. Back to the homework. Well he almost never checked it but when he did you better have. At the begening of the year he had every one take out there homework, after not checking it for about 3 weeks. Everyone who did it whent outside including me for about 15 minutes and he closed the door. When he opened it again everyone inside filled out and I swear there eyes were the size of baseballs then nutter said in a controlled scary voice, the kind people get after yelling alot, that he was not going to review with people who didn't do there work and then whent on. I never found out what he said to them but they didn't come in for the rest of class. Another time right after HSA testing he was reviewing some other sheats and relized no one had it (I swear we were the laziest class in the world no wonder everyone was failing no one did anything) He started asking the class questions for extra credit of the sheets we were doing. I'm not joking when I say 3/4 of class sat down before I answered the question (the week before it was HSA and I was stuck in the library for 4 hours a day for 3 days and got realy bored so I did it then). Then the rest of the class sat down. Only two of us did our homework. We had to do a report once about the 60's. I did the grateful dead. Anyway the day of the prodject I come in and nutter is sitting with his feet up on the desk laughing gets up and says score. I relize he's playing nintendo. Some guy brought in nintendo for his project about basketball in the 60s and famous players of the time. Nutter always expected you to make these giant leaps in thinking. He'd give to papers with facts on and ask you what it ment. He was always looking for a very spacific answer too. Okay, enough about history on to tec. I am so glad I don't have to take that class this year I hated it. Ummmm...interesting facts well last year 3 or 4 people through a moletov cocktail through a window of my school, two were expeled a third was in my tec class. The teach Mr. Beatie admitted he didn't whant to teach and was just doing it for finashal security. If it was up to him he'd work at the deck building company he owned full time. He was like a recruter for the consturuction industry. Telling us that us that didn't whant to go to coledge had to do something then outline all the great aspects of deck building while looking pointenly at about five kids. The guy was clueless to. Some of the stuff that whent on in that class...Once we were all in the tec room with machines and stuff and beatie was in his office. A guy brings out a can of axe body spray and a lighter. So, he puts the lighter in front of the the can and does that flame througher thing, beatie didn't notice. I'm sitting here thinking okay when the guy comes in were all 35 of us are going to suspened, or the fire alarm and or sprinklers are going to go off. They don't. He sprays the floor in a desighn, lights it on fire. Sprays his hand, the soul of his shoe, the table, ect. beatie doesn't notice. Then some girl walks in after he just finishes putting away the lighter and spray saying dud, who's using all the body spray, who are you trying to impress. The entire class burst out laughing. Beattie never found out about that. He was also the worst grader. If you worked near him so he could hear and see you, you got an a. If he didn't you'd be lucky to get a high d. We worked in groups of 4 or 5. You work lucky if one other person in your group helped. You do everying and I mean everything and you don't work near him your lucky to get a 10 out of 20 on participation. On are first project he gave us a 5/20 for our backround info cause we didn't highlight anything. He never mentioned highlighting. I don't think he relized that was like giving someone an e. You only had about two prodjects a year so if you screwed up one then your entire grades gone. He once refused to accept anyones prodject claiming he already asked for them even though only one group turned it in. He eventlualy settled for a 45 minute lecture on responsibility and deducting 30 points of of the 100 point prodject. I thin I inded up with a 45 out of 100 on that prodject and it was tec. The easy slacker course was always my worse grade. I somehow mangaged to pull of very very low Bs though. Basicaly cs high enough to round up to bs. I'm glad that class is over. About grades another thing with nutter was he wouldn't round up you could have a 79.99 or 89.99 and he would not round up. Okay well thats it. I'm glad I got that out of my system.

Okay last post of the night I promise. This just acerred to me when I was thinking about babysitting Alex. When we were watching tv a commercial came on for burger king and kids meals. The new toy is spider man 2 based. The same was true for a cerial comercial afterword. I was just wondering why you would base a toy desighned for the 3 to 8 or so crowd on a pg-13 movie? It was just a thought I had.

I feel alot better after ranting a few hours ago. Its realy not that bad. As long as I'm at my mom's house I can watch all the anime and read all the manga I whant undesterbed. My dad just likes making fun of me sometimes. I'm use it, exept once in awile he does go a litle far. Besides I think both of my parents like the fact that I draw. Some of my friends have if far worse than me. You should see some of the hiding places they've come up with. Its realy funny and of course there always recruiting me to take stuff to my mom's house to save for them.

Well just got back from babysitting. Nothing can make you feel older than that. You know your in trouble when your thoughts start to begenn with I remember when I was young... The two boys I was babysitting are both realy into Pokemon. When I first started babysitting them a few months ago it was tecnicaly the first time I babysitted anyone but my brother (I didn't tell them this). They began to talk about Pokemon and me having no idea what to say pretened to not know anything about and have them explain it to me. No one seemed to notice that when the three year old made a indesdigushable sound I knew he ment Jerachi. So, anyway about half way through the six year old explaining his dad cuts in and starts to explain. I relize that he didn't know I was just realy desperate to make some sorta conversation with his kids but honestly. Who doesn't know about pokemon? I probably know more about it then him. No I walked around school for the past 7 years of my life oblivious to random people trading cards and playing talking about how much they whant yellow version. So anyway, back to the present. We had just finished watching Jimmy Nuetron and after much discusion with all I hear being I don't know we put on a pokemon movie and the 6 year old, Alex asks me if I like pokemon. I say yes because I didn't feel like explaining to a 6 year why no, I realy realy don't like pokemon. He then says. I love it. Its my favorite, I have almost all the movies. So, yeah maybe in 2 or 3 years he might discover other animes, ones with slightly more depth (I'm sorry to all the pokemon fans out there and I have nothing against it but you have to admit the america versions most defently lack depth). Adventures in babysitting. Another kid I was babysitting once asked me if I had fake teeth because I was playing with my retainer in my mouth. Just thought I'd through that in there.

Okay, time for me to go on a bit of a rant. Its about how other people particualy my family feels about anime. I know this is a common topic but I still want to vent a little cause it can get annoying sometimes. Lets start with my brother. He has a site on the otaku to so he obvously likes anime. He's fine and its actucaly kind of fun to ask him what he likes and discuss stuff. The problem with him is more of keeping him away from stuff way to old for him and from talking about stuff from manga I give him to for example my parents that might get me in trouble. Not big things but little ones like when I lent him Trigun Volume one and well thats another story. My sister was always fine with it. She thinks I can pretty much do what I whant but that I was still a little weird. She liked american comics like the x-men alot. Then she picked up pet shop of horrors witch I left on the table and could not put it down. That was great. My mom kind of looks perplexed and thats it. The person I realy whant to complain about is my dad. He realy had no idea that I was in to anime and manga until I started buying it. Then he was like waite is that why all the random pictures of people you draw littered around the house look so weird. That was fine. He thought it was childish and stupid but didn't complain. Except to make fun of me a little. And stare at me weird when I tried to explain that is was not childish. Something I've stoped trying to do a long time ago. When I got some manga he took one look at the price, I want to mention that it was my money, he started muttering about it. This has gotten worse and worse. To the point that if I go to the bookstore with him I won't go to the manga section cause its not worth it. He loudly complains and I'm afraid he'll refuse to let me get any more (not that that would stop me but it would get harder to buy stuff). Then he learned the word hentai, I'm not sure from were, but he did. One day he asked me what it ment, he had that look were he already knew the answer but whanted to know what I would say. If I was smart I would of pretended not to know and start talking about how cool some unrelated topic was. I'm not that smart so I told him and well after that I never herd the end of if. Barrow a movie from a friend, comes in stands in front of the screen, is this hentai, huh, huh. Yeah, dad I'm going to watch what amounts to porn with you in the house and my little brother who can't shut up about anything. Makes lots and lots of sence. Then he'll turn to the screen and make fun of the clothes. Thats realy skimmpy, you sure thats not hentai. You sure, you sure. Yes I'm Sure. He does the same with my drawings and manga. No matter if I try to explain about what I'm doing. A few days ago, this is propably what set this rant of by the way it been stewing in my brain, he had some people over to our house. I was bored so I picked up a paper and was drawing. When I was done Margerite, his girlfriend, looked at it. Did I mention she's an art teacher/critic. She says I'm very good and sugests that I should take some classes, work with models and maby to a few nudes of models. Another other story but anyway dad was just kind of nodding along like he compleatyl agreed. I don't know what he was thinking but I bet it was something like this, Yeah, sure why not let my impresionable young daughter hang around nude models, half of them guys (dads way over protective of me especialy when it comes to guys, again another story). Makes perfect sence. I wish she'd do it more. No the proble is her watching those stupic cartoons. Some of those girls aren't wearing anything more than a bakini. Its so indecent. It is compleatly ruining her mind and destroying her innocents. Despite her very good grades and lack of trouble causing. Wate anime lets emparess Michaela. Why not? There talking about using pens or pencils or something, I have no idea what there saying. I whant to talk to. At witch point my dad says, yeah she draws alot of that anime stuff, when she grows up she whants to be a hentai artist. Margerite knowing nothing about anime and my dad's sarcastic voice sounding like his regular one says, Oh realy, well your realy good. With a face the color of a tomato I try to explain to someone I don't know very well and that I'm required to be polite to and act mature, kind, ect. to that that was not true, my dad was joking and that that was ummm...erm...umm...not ermmm...something...that....erm was...ummm...I'm interested in. And to ummm...not say I am...to...um anyone who...erm may know...erm what your talking about. Of course with some of the stuff I read and see I have to kind of make sure dad doesn't notice the cussing or exsessive violence and such. He always manages to walk in on the one scene in the movie you'd rather have him not see. I remember once I was leaving a friends house and she at the last moment gave me a pile of most of the manga she owned(she just found out I liked it, I was just getting into anime with more than a mild interest and we hadn't seen each other in awile and she whanted to talk to me about it) and told me to read it. So, when my dad picked me up he asked me what it was and of couse the one thing he happens to pick up out of everything is a volume of Gravitation (she loved the series and practicaly threatned to kill me if I didn't read it and give her an exuse to go on and on about how cute it was and if I read anything it was that I still have to listen about it) with I quickly snatched away. I have no idea what he would do if he knew I read that and what was actualy in it.

So bored...so I figure I'll ask more questions though only one person is realy anwering them...

1. When and why (if you do) did you start drawing anime?

I was trying to draw people that looked more realistic for a long time, I think since I could hold a pencil in my hand. I was just getting into anime and a friend of mine was already drawing it. Another friend was telling her about an origenal character in a story of his he whanted her to draw. I was sitting there comming up with my own idea of what he should look like. So, when I got home I decided to draw him, because no matter how terrible I am at drawing anime guys I absoluty suck at drawing them realisticly. Sence, the character was a guy I decided I might as well as try a new style and again I was just begening to like anime. Wow, that was a long answer.

2. Another question for artist, who influenced your earlyest drawings?

Pretty much whoever I was watching at the time, like now. Most of my origenal art was inluenced alot by Dragonball Z. They all had that style of eyes and hair. I can't tell you how many of my early drawings had Goku's hair. I also got ideas from non-anime places like movies and books. Also, my friends characters for various stories he was writting. And the computer. I noticed that my proportions were all messed up. I looked up how various sites that had sugestions and of course as many anime pics as I could find as refernce. Another, long answer.

Well that's it for now.
