At a Glance
I'm a 17-year old, junior in high school. I'm Israeli-American, being born in Israel, my mom born in America and my dad born in South Africa. My family's scattered around the globe so we don't seem a lot of relatives often... I'm not sure right now where I'd like to live in the future, but I have some general ideas: by the ocean or in a city. I'm interested in being a Psychologist, seeing as I think I understand the human mind. It fascinates me, but that's beside the point...
I got involved with anime in the summer before 7th grade. Inuyasha and DBZ being my firsts. Manga came after that and then dramas. Of all the things in my life, these are the ones that I don't regret.
For other info, I'm simplistic, believe in karma and reincarnation, but I'd like to convert to Shintoism in the future. I don't rush life. I live for the near future. I'll worry about college and careers when I get there. There's no need to stress now ^.~

Creating a REAL anime blog
I finally decided to do it: a anime blog. It's about time that I review anime and ramble on about my opinions. This is still in the creation stage, so once it's all finished I'll post the link to it so you people can check it out.
I'm very stupid when it comes to HTML, so it might take a while. But it's my greatest goal and future accomplishment.
So what does all this mean? Good-bye myOtaku. Well, not really... I just won't be posting here anymore. I've got too many things to do lately, with moving, relatives visiting, and my plan to go visit FL. So I'm kicking this out and moving on to better things.
Oh, I won't be totally gone. If I do any quizzes, I'll be sure to post the results here (since it's the only place I can do that). I wonder if I should the background as well.
I wish blogs were as myOtaku. Then again, I've been on here for around a year, so I guess that's why.

Spring '07 - Summer '07 animes
Listenin' to: Konoyo no Uta (Black Cat OST)
Mood: Much better than earlier today
I'm almost finished watching Blood+, as I type this I'm on episode 47/50. I can't believe it's almost over. I've been watching this anime for so long, along with Bleach, where I'm only around episode 70. So anyways, since Blood+ is ending soon and I finished and dropped a few other series, I decided to search around for new anime to watch. I spent hours scanning the selections on Crunchy Roll (the dramas too) and I only found a few that seemed good. I'm actually pretty picky about what I like so it couldn't be a shoujo anime this time. Those shoujo animes are sickening me lately, or rather I lose interest in them too quickly (who knew I'd ever say that, when I love them so much). So I decided to look into some shounen stuff: and I found Black Cat, and Terra e. I've watched the first episodes for both, and I'm hooked. I like action, fantasy, and science fiction. No doubt.
Also, I'm looking forward to some Summer '07 anime that's coming out soon: Sky Girls (I've already watched the OVA. Both thumbs up!), School Days and Baccano! Sky Girls is science fiction and action some I'm hooked. Baccano is apparently about alchemists, mobsters, thieves, terrorists, delinquents, murderers, and even a ghost during the 1930's. Whose up for more action? Me-me!! Over here! And finally, School Days is a shoujo, and it's a love triangle between a boy and two girls with some blood and violence at the endings. I'm in!
I'm sort of leaving dramas behind for now, the sad endings are too much for my heart. I've already had enough of the drama and angst (isn't that funny coming from someone who only writes drama and angst...o.0?)
Now about Spring '07 animes: Bleach, Romeo x Juliet, Death Note, Darker than BLACK, sola and Lucky Star (including Lovely Complex, La Corda D'Oro, Claymore, El Cazador de la Bruja, Murder Pricess, Himawari, Emma: Second Act, Wellber no Monogatari, and Saiunkoku Monogatari II).
First off: Bleach. I do hate a long series, but Bleach manages to stretch out the story just enough to keep you addicted. In fact, I'd say since the main cast's back in the real world and another Arc has begun, I'm interested in these new guys that aren't human or shinigami- something in between. Are they the "Bount" that I've heard about? Either way I'm on the special now, episodes 68-69. I wonder why they throw in so many specials and fillers (at least it's not as much as Naruto o.0). Either way it's still good. Chances I'll continue: Definite.
Moving on, Romeo x Juliet. I don't the deep tangled romance, but the anime shows a different approach to the legendary couple. Actually, I've never seen a film, play or read any book on Romeo and Juliet because they die and I hate it when a couple dies. Character death sucks. But still, the anime expresses the original story differently. I like it. I just hope they don't die in the end. If I do get word of that though, I'm dropping this series in two seconds (one of for hesitation and two for decision, heh. But for now, Romeo x Juliet is all good. Chances I'll continue: Probably.
Next, Death Note. Truthfully, I'm glad Death Note is ending soon. I think the anime's gone downhill and downright crazy and pointless. I miss L, even though I'm a Light fan. Their competition made the anime and without L, there's no more fun. L's successors, Near and Mello, can hardly live up to their predecessor. They're kids and they're going up against Light. Tch. And what about that other one, Matt, was it? I don't much about him, seeing as I haven't read the manga but I do wonder how he plays into the story. Well since the anime's almost over I intend to see it through (another thing, since I'm not a true fan, I won't watch the movies. Death Note will always be but an anime to me. Nothing more)Chances I'll continue: Probably.
Darker than BLACK. This anime started off shaky, but lately I've wanted more of it, so I say it's got my attention. Chances I'll continue: Good.
Sola. This went in an entirely different direction than I thought it would. Hmm, maybe I didn't understand the plot too well. But there's only two episodes left so I'll stick to it. I don't recommend it, if you haven't watched it so far. Chances I'll continue: Probably.
Lucky Star: what can I say about this one? I love it! Even if it is pretty plotless. Konata-chan, of course, is my favorite character. She's so otaku and prefers gaming to studying, lol. The other characters, Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki make up pretty good conversations (w/ Konata of course). I'm all in favor of chibi-like characters discussing stuff. After all, I am a curious person, first and foremost. Chances I'll continue: Definite.
Lovely Complex: I read a preview in Shojo Beat magazine (I believe they're continuing the manga in the mag, right?). The anime got me hooked though. It's got good comedy and romance. Chances I'll continue: Definite.
La Corda D'Oro (Kiniro no Koroda): This anime's taken a turn in plot in think. What happened to the Concours? It's breaking off into stories about their lives. And what about Yunoki-senpai? He's got a split personality. Tch. He was so nice before too. Chances I'll continue: Probably, unless the story goes haywire.
Claymore: *shakes head* This anime was so good before episode 12. They just dropped it off a canyon and drowned it. They show Clare getting her legs cut off (not for a Clare fan >.<), Ophelia doing weird things to Clare, and the sibling relationship between Clare and Raki disappears. Clare kisses him! Tch. Oh, and Raki's kicked out of the picure. I swear, I'm so disappointed. If the anime doesn't pick itself up in the next episode, I'm dropping it. I don't have time for lame shows. Chances I'll continue: Not Good.
El Cazador de la Bruja: I love this anime, just as much as Madlax and Noir (thank you Bee Train!). Girls with Guns is one of my favorite themes and this one takes place in Mexico, another plus. Nadi and Elis are such cool characters. Chances I'll continue: Definite.
Murder Princess: Is this an OVA series? Only 6 episodes? Hmm... But I still like the action and the idea of a mercenary-type girl as a princess. Chances I'll continue: Good.
Himawari!: Umm, this anime is pretty plotless, so thank Kami-sama, it's only 13 episodes. I actually watched this a long time ago (first episode only) and dropped it. But now I gave it another chance since I do like ninja-shinobi-kunoichi animes. I suppose my only attraction to it would be the humor and bit of action seen around. Chances I'll continue: Good.
Emma Second Act: I loved the first season, and the second's no different. No complaints here, just good Victorian Romance. Chances I'll continue: Definite.
Wellber no Monogatari: Aside from the fact that the subbing of episodes takes forever, I like this one. At first, no. But second glances are good too. It's also 13-episodes, so I'll bear with this one for a bit. Chances I'll Continue: Good.
Saiunokoku Monogatari II: What's going on here? Nobody's subbing episode 2??! I loved the first season, but someone pick up this project! If it doesn't sub soon, I'm dropping it (on placing it on hold). Chances I'll continue: Not so good...
All that's left on my list is Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge, Nana, and the 3rd Ichigo Mashimaro OVA. Only the final episode left for Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge (if it would just be subbed!), two more for Nana (sub soon!) and of course, the final for Ichigo Mashimaro. I wonder when this Prequel'll be released on DVD. I already own the full series, so I think I'll buy the OVA.
I think that's it for now,
