FanimeCon 2004 report
Hello,

I'm back from my weekend in San Jose attending Fanimecon.

Me and a friend set up a table to sell our artworks and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by how well we did.

It seems that convention goers love original art rather than digital printouts. Sketches and quick commissions are popular too.

My friend got never-ending commissions for Sasuke from Naruto. I think over 50% of her profits has to do with drawing Sasuke.

Most of my profits came from original works of art that I did. I sold all of my old original artworks. I sold some prints too, but that's a pretty small part of it.

People also seem most interested in buying on Saturday.

We didn't really get to see ANY of the events or panels as we have to man our tables from 9 to 7 everyday. I wasn't bored though, because you meet lots of interesting people who come to your table to chat and request commmissions. You also see lots of weird cosplayers walking past.

I'll post some of the pictures later - I hope to see some of you in a convention sometime in the future.
