Running in no direction
I suddenly lose momentum
For now I drift alone
Lost in a darkling sky
I turn and turn about
But I find upon reflection
Maybe I haven’t moved at all
I lay down to rest
Only to find the rising sun
Moon and sun dance about
And I fear I am dreaming
You’re standing before me
Arms opened wide
Won’t you come and hold me?
I begin to weep
And my tears turn to stars
Held high above
While I watch below
You lay wrapped in stars
Smiling so serenely
Your gentle eyes watch me
Telling me to hold on
Day is breaking soon
But I want to stay forever
Locked inside the embrace
Of swiftly breaking night
So please don’t make me leave
I won’t go without you

Again, what the heck?
Again, it's early in the morning. It's 1:49 am. And there seems to be a cow in my neighborhood. I keep on hearing, "Muuuuuu! Muuuuuu! MuuuuuuUUU!" It's getting weird. I live in a big town, so there's not supposed to be cows here. Odd.

And I'm freaking out because I swear something was stalking me. I heard a thump on my roof, and a rustle of the tree when there's no wind.

I've been reading too many vampire books lately, so I thought it might be a vampire, and envisioned this.

Sexy vampire: *chuckle* Hello there, little one.
Me in dumpy pajamas: ....
Sexy vampire: *laugh* Are you scared of me?
Me: No sh**!
Vampire: *laugh*
Me: Was it you on the roof and in the tree?
Vampire: Yes and no. I was on the roof, but my gay brother is in the tree. He's trying to spy on your brother.
Me: Oh. Well, I'm pretty sure my bro is straight...

Yeah.... Don't let me think after a certain point at night. I go CRAZY.

   No idea.
I can't sleep. It's 4:47 am. The sky is lightening. It looks almost dusty, like depression glass left in the cellar to be forgotten. The house is silent, except for the chatter of the keyboard as I type. The treetops are eating at the flushed skyline, like jagged teeth. I can't see the sun and I don't want to. The sun is making the sky bleed, and I want to staunch it. I want to stamp the sun out and make the sky midnight again. I want to moon to sail above me eternally, and the stars to watch me with their shy eyes. I want to the world to stay asleep so my life can slip past, unnoticed. The need to have the night cradle me in her arms is overwhelming. So I will shut my eyes and rest, pretending that night is eternal and the day is a bloody nightmare.



I have no idea what provoked that. Sorry about the tangent people. I get weird when I'm tired, especially when I keep thinking about my boyfriend.
