Okay, the person in the background is a charater of mine, Emma. She's one of my favorite charater's that's I've created, even beating out Madam Silver. Since Emma is one of mine, I'm going to post her background/opening speech on here to explain who she is and too see if anyone else likes her.
"Hi, my name is Emma. I'm not into all of the frilly little things that most girls my age are because frankly I can't be. I mean, it's not that I'm over weight or anything like that..It's just that my daddy doesn't like me very much. He likes to go and get drunk..then he comes home and...Let's just say it's not pretty. I'm not with him very much. I'm usually with my mom in a different city..but recently he got a court order saying I have to go to his house one week out of each month. He's not really a bad person. Really he's not..it's just that when he drinks he..well..he can hurt people. I don't talk to people anymore..it makes me feel horrible when they start asking why I have a jacket on in the middle of summer..so I've just stopped talking to them..but I have learned how to wrap things and set bones..so I guess that's a plus..
You're the only one I can feel safe around, journal. You're the only one who won't try to make my family hate eachother even more than they already do. Journal..you won't hurt me, will you? Of course you wouldn't. I have to go now..I just heard the door slam and daddy knock something over..."
That's the possible opening to a short story about Emma. I'm not sure yet. If I was writting it on paper, it would prolly be better.
Tell me if it's worth it or not.
