Here and Now

Greetings all. Today is Saturday. As usual, that means that I am officially bored out of my mind. Unfortunately, most of my friends here on campus sleep until 5pm on Saturdays. That doesn't help things. I had hoped to go hiking on the trail I told you about in the previous post. But, since it's raining I can't get anybody to go with me and the guys I know would come with me are still sleeping. I don't really want to go all by myself though. I'll probably end up going anyway, but I don't think it'll be nearly as fun this way. I just don't get it. I really don't. Why is it that everybody looks forward to Saturday so much? I mean, we work all week at class and stuff. We have lives during the week, and yet we all look forward to Saturday. But, what do we do on Saturdays? We all complain about how incredibly bored we are. We all sit around on our butts and fuss about not having anything interesting to do. I just don't get it.

Anyway, now that I got that off my chest, I can type about something interesting. I had my last day of class yesterday! Yay! This is both a good and bad thing for me. Good things are that the semester is almost over and I'm close to going home. The bad things are numerous and include the fact that finals are next week, I have to pack all my stuff into boxes that don't yet exist, and once I get home i'm going to be even more swamped than I am now. I get home and I have summer school and a 9 - 5 job. On top of that, the job I have is more boring than even Saturdays. I get to stand in front of a copy machine all day and run copies. YAY! I wish to God that I didn't have to work at a job so dull and boring, but it pays so well ($10 an hour) and I need the money. So, that's the look of my summer. There are a few bright points in it though. Well, two to be exact. One is the ever enjoyable A-Kon! I can't wait! My costume is not nearly done, mainly because I haven't been working on it. It's going to be very fun this year. And, the second is my family's trip to Italy in July for my sister's senior trip. I chose to go to England on mine, and she chose Italy. It should be fun! We're going to tour quite a bit of it. So, as you can see, my summer isn't all frorescent lights and copies.

Sorry for depressing you all with this post, but I've been a little depressed myself as of late. I guess it's because of the summer I have ahead of me. There's more to it though, i'm just not tuned enough into my emotions to figure out what the rest of it is. I think I'll get over it though. The people at my work are nice people and I managed to find things in it that I liked. Thursdays were response card day! We'd get responses in from potential clients throughout the US and it was my job to go through them and sort them by state, county, and type of client. Yeah, that was the highlight of my week each week. Depressing eh? Welcome to my life. Hope y'all have a great day, or at least a better one than mine. Sayonara!
