Ok, I'll admit it, I'm sold on the idea... I'm refering to adding replies to comments on here. I don't know how many times I intended to tell someone something, but forgot to tell them when I commented on their site.
So from now on I am going to add replies. Just a note, I might not reply to everyone. I mean some comments don't really need a reply. But when I feel there are comments that need to be replied to I most definitely will do that.
I spent all day Friday visiting sites here off and on while at the same time, I've been typing out all of this HTML help content to put on my HTML help site. I decided I would just start from the very beginning and work up from there. It's going to take me some time to get it all there. But it's well worth it. I have found that there are people of many different levels of needing help on this subject. So, starting from the beginning is best. I'm also going to integrate a Contents on it for ease of finding exactly what it is someone needs help with.
I don't have the content on there yet, as of Friday evening (for me). But I'm hoping to have a large amount of it up by sometime Saturday. Then perhaps more in the next few days.
Ok, so now onto replies...
Mamma Vash:
I wanted to reply to you first because I just caught a comment you made on my post right after I changed the theme here. I had missed it.
You asked about CSS being a word that can be spoken in polite company. Well, I'd like to think so. Though, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who might consider it a bad word. It stands for Cascading Style Sheets. Once you get a grasp on HTML, the next step will be CSS. That's where the power is. Atleast in my opinion. I remember when I learned HTML I thought it was pretty cool. But then when I learned what CSS can do, I was just amazed.
There are times though where it can be a bit frustrating, but that's usually due to human error and we don't see what it is we are doing wrong. But I think it's times like that when some may consider CSS to be a bad word. ^_^
RenoTheTurk:
Yep, I got it figured out. I think I had tried that once before. But I kept trying to insert something into it once it was pasted in, and would set it back. But I got it to work now. I just paste it in, and don't touch it.
Actually, I'm ok with 15 comments. I mean more is fine, or less is ok as well. I have been here for quite some time and I have a good number of friends. Though a lot of my friends here come and go. I have some who I consider to be good friends, ones I've had for a while now, but they don't update very often. And I actually don't go around looking for new friends unless if I run across someone who I think I would really enjoy corresponding with. So, for the most part I'm content with the friends I have. If I gain more through them stumbling across my site, I'm okay with that too. I'm just not sure I could handle having so many sites to visit in return.
Wolf of Darkstar:
Quit being such a stranger! =P
Yes, I know that's news to you. Wait, is it news to you that I got them removed? Or is it news that I had them in the first place? o_O
devilsadvocate:
Glad to hear it was just your connection causing problems, and not my page.
Yeah, I'd say pics taken with a digicam that old, even the most expensive image editing software programs couldn't fix it. ^_^
CosmicSailor:
And you would be the person I should thank for the idea of replying to comments in my post. I find that it gives me more to talk about, and it gives people more to read. Assuming people want more to read.
Cheezy, infintile,... hey whatever works.
I have two ways of taking pics. I have a webcam that I can take pics with. Or I have a very cheap digi/webcam. The latter being one of those mini ones, picked up at a yard sale for $15, it was brand new though. It takes one AAA battery and it uses that one battery very quickly. The pics it takes outdoors don't turn out too bad. Though, if I take it anywhere I have to make sure I take some pics, then just turn it off. Because if the battery gets too low, I lose the pics I've taken on it. Even if I replace the battery, that loss of power causes me to lose them. One of these days I'll get a better camera.
Face of Deth:
Ok, with the help of RenoTheTurk, here's what you do. Type out the text you want to insert into your profile area in a program like Word, or even Notepad works. Once you have everything you want to put in there, copy it and paste it into the profile area, but don't do anything else to it. Don't backspace or anything. Just hit the Edit my Options/Profile button. It should include everything.
KitsuneTsuki:
Yeah, this is fun. ^_^
Ok, I can't help myself I must say it. Your comment reminds me of a nurse joke that involves knees. Perhaps you know the one I'm talking about. =P
I'm dying to find out why your knees hurt, then again, do I want to know?
Being inspired by a song that I absolutely love...

Hey, I wanted to apologize to those of you who I didn't visit yesterday. I updated Wednesday night and got to a few sites. It was getting late and I was tired, so I went to bed. Then on Thursday I wasn't feeling too good. So, I didn't get to everyone's sites. I will be doing that after I post this.
Ok, I don't do this too often. But since I've seen a lot of others do it, I felt it might be a good idea for this post. I'm going to post replies to comments on my blog post. I don't plan on doing this on a regular basis. But I think there were a few comments that I needed to reply to and I usually forget what it was I wanted to say to everyone when I visit their sites. So, here it goes.
sand dragon 19:
Yes, it is a miracle he isn't eating a donut. And thank you for the compliment on my site. I'm glad you like it.
As for drawing... practice, practice, practice. If you keep practicing, you'll get better.
CosmicSailor:
Yes, definitely set a goal to draw more this year. I read about you not making resolutions, but setting goals for yourself, and I think that is a wonderful idea. I might have to try that. I don't really set resolutions either, though I used to. It sounds like you have a lot of tools that you need to work on improving your drawing skills. And as I told sand dragon 19, practice.
Cheap digital cameras don't take good pics of anything, no matter how beautiful or how unattractive it may be. Though, they do tend to take better pics in natural light. I have found that I can fix up some of my poor pics with Paint Shop Pro a little.
Yensid:
You'll get the web design thing down. When I first started here on myO, I knew absolutely nothing about HTML. I went through a little bit of the FounderWeb.com's Interactive HTML Tutorial that is located in the text at the top of the page when you type out a post. I found that it really interested me. So, I looked into HTML extensively. I learned a little in a class I took at my community college last spring. And I bought some books. I've also learned a lot from the internet as well. Among all of my hobbies, that is the one I enjoy doing the most. I had hoped to get into a career in Web Design, and still do. However, it hasn't gone the way I had planned. (Long story.)
I have considered taking pics of the 18 x 24 drawings that I'd like to do. But my digital camera is really cheap and does not take very good pics, except like you said, in natural light. And there is the option of using a disposable camera. But I have some programs that I can use to piece together a large drawing using my scanner. So I may just go that route.
As for the recommendations, I am with you all the way on Gungrave.
It is my fave next to Trigun. And I do like Ghost in the Shell as well. I've also seen Vampire Hunter D, in fact I have it recorded on my DVR. Crying Freeman, I have not yet seen. So I will keep an eye out for it. And thank you.
Hehe... gender reassigment, I got a kick out of that. No, I had three moles removed from my face. Actually, this would be news to quite a few of my otaku friends, since I have gained a lot of new friends in the past few months. I had it done around the end of August. So, it's not really a major change. Though, I had one mole on my upper lip, near my nose, for close to 30 years. So, this was kind of a major change to me, and most who have known me most of my life. I have a before pic somewhere back in my archives, though I don't expect you to go digging around back there. ^_^
And thank you for the compliment.
BlAiZeD:
Yeah, I checked out Jigglyness' site and hers is very cool. There is one thing that I have to say as far as a cool site. You can learn all of the codes to make a site, but without good graphics, you have nothing. Or atleast in my opinion. Yes, you should definitely take a web design class if you have the opportunity.
I will most definitely check out Blood the Last Vampire and Blood+. Thanks for the suggestions.
devilsadvocate:
I hope my page doesn't cause problems for you. I tried to keep it simple. Though, I have quite a few images, they are rather small so they should load fairly easily. I have had times when pages on here have loaded slowly, so I hope that was the problem for you. If you continue to have problems with it, let me know. Thanks!
shadowkitsune98:
Thanks! I'm glad you like the bg, I made it. That is one of my wallpapers that I had submitted on here at one time. I still need to get my wallpapers resubmitted. o_O
DarkRosesSea:
Thank you! "your beauty shines like the fury of a thousand sun." That is one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me. ♥
RenoTheTurk:
Thank you for the tip on getting more than 1500 characters. I had noticed that some people seemed to be able to cheat the 1500 limit. I guess in all of my know-how on page design, there are some things I don't know.
When I first did the 100 comments thing, I was tempted to take it up to 1,000, but I figured that may be overdoing it. I think the most comments I have ever received at one time was maybe 15.
Thank you for the compliment. I wish I were 25 again. ^_^
Miyoko-chan:
At first, I didn't really have anything to reply to on your comment. But I did want to say that I know you don't go too long without drawing. I know how passionate you are about drawing, and with each drawing your skill level gets better.
Well, that's all for now. Take care, everyone.

Well, here it is... my new page design. I worked on it all day, only to find that it wouldn't exactly work the way I had wanted. I mean it looked the same as this, but I had that upper part in my profile area, and the blog post in the post area. Well, that wouldn't work since I'm limited to only 1500 characters in the profile. So naturally, I just put everything in my post styles. That's why the date is above all of the content. And this also means that all of the content is included in each and every post in my archives. The good news is that I don't have to go through the hell I had to go through for that stupid "100 Comments... yeah right!" thing anymore. It's hard to explain, but trust me, it was a hassle. I had to reinsert the code for the comments every time I posted. And I had to do it quickly after I would post, before someone would comment. I've found that "really cool" and unique ideas for my page wear out quickly if they make it a hassle to post.
That is not why I haven't been around much lately, though. I've just been busy with stuff.
I haven't done much drawing lately. I don't like going for too long without drawing. I think drawing is something that should be done, if not on a daily basis, then atleast every couple of days.
Mostly I have been attempting to improve my skills at creating original stuff. I've been feeling a bit more confident with my drawing skills to share it with others, as in my Race pics. Though, I do miss the good ol' pencil reference pics I used to do so frequently. That's what I'm best at. I've been thinking about drawing a series of 18 x 24 drawings for my family. Something that they all like. If I do, I won't be able to scan them in one piece, but I will find a way to get them on the computer to share them with you. And that may be a long time from now, since if I do decide to take on this challenge I will take my time and put a lot of time into each drawing. (Over a period of months.)
I've recently begun watching a few different anime. As I mentioned before, I have seen the first episode of Escaflowne. (I will reply to your PM, CosmicSailor.) ^_^
And I finally caught the first episode of Hellsing. I think I'm really going to like Hellsing. It's my kind of anime.
Well, it has been some time now, but I said a while back that I would put up an after pic of me. So, here it is...
And now, I'm going to head off and visit my friends.
Take care.

This is just a quick post to test out the new page design. You can comment if you like, but I will be updating this later this evening. And I will be visiting sites then as well.

I had such an exciting day, Thursday. I did absolutely nothing. I attempted to watch anime, but got sidetracked doing I don't know what. I'm trying to recall what it was that I did for a few hours that was so important, but it seems when one is doing nothing important the time just flies by.
There's something I'd like to share with everyone. My friend devilsadvocate wrote a short Full Metal Alchemist fan fic called 'Baby It's Cold Outside' Just click on the title to read it. You won't regret it.
Hmmm, not much else to say. Just a quick comment to Dark Cloud. Tell your mom as far as guys getting their ears pierced, "Left is right, right is wrong." ^_^
My son is going to have to wait until he is 18 if he decides to get his right ear pierced. Or if he does it himself. o_O
Oh, I forgot to mention. I added a little bit of help on tables on my HTML Help site a couple days ago. I'm going to try to add a little more about tables. What I have so far is the simplest form of tables. But I thought it might help anyone who needs a little help just building a table.
Well, that's all for today. Take care.

I'm finally updating again. I trust everyone had a pretty good Christmas. Mine was as well. One of the highlights was my 10 year old son got his left ear pierced. He's been wanting it pierced for sometime. I also finally cut his hair. He had been growing his hair out, and it was about down to his chin in the front. He'd usually just push it over to the side. Most of the time all we saw was just one eye. So, I cut the front and sides a bit. But I pretty much left the back long. Which is down to atleast his shoulders. The cool thing is that he has a lot of wave in his hair, so it looks pretty cool. Then to top it off, he had two girls calling him on the phone Tuesday night... how adorable. ^_^
Not much else exciting has been going on. I drew another dragon pic. I finished it on Wednesday. Then I decided to try something with it. I put the dragon in a photo of a castle and changed the scenery a bit. Anyway, I'll put the drawing of the dragon. Then the dragon and castle pic. Unfortunately, I had to size them down so they'd fit in this small area I have put for my blog area. *curses "brilliant" idea for small post area.* ^_^
Anyway, here they are...
I don't feel as though these should be put in my fan art here because they technically aren't anime. (Though, I have submitted a few non-anime.) I just don't want to get too much in the habit of adding non-anime or video game. However, I decided I'd ask my audience. Do you think I should submit these to my fan art here on Otaku? And don't feel like you have to say yes, I want the truth. I will in no way be offended. Thanks!
Well, that's all for now. Take care.

I spent Thursday cleaning house. Nothing too exciting. The sad thing is that there is still a lot that needs to be done.
I still have a few last minute Christmas items to buy. So, I'll be doing that on Friday.
Oh, I submitted to my deviantART some of my images I had done a few years back that I had on my old computer. They were created using Bryce 5. They are mostly landscape, seascape, or spacescape. Nothing anime, that's why I didn't put them on here. I will however show you one of them. This is my favorite. I call it Another World. It's a scene depicting a view from another world.
Pretty cool, huh? I'd like to take up making more Bryce pics. Though, I will have to do it when I'm not doing the 101 other things I enjoy doing. ^_^ Or the 101 things I don't. o_O
Now, I am going to head off and watch (at the urging of CosmicSailor) the first episode of Escaflowne. I've seen the movie, but haven't caught any of the series yet. So, I'm looking forward to it.
Take care, everyone.

Nothing exciting happened today. I did laundry. Listened to music. The kids came home from their last day before Christmas break. My 14 year old daughter and her friend wanted to go to the mall. So, I took them to the mall. Had dinner. Then got online to catch up on visitng sites.
Not a very thrilling day, to say the least.
It's been raining here. We've had these extremely cold temps for about three weeks. And now the temps are going up and we are supposed to be getting rain and snow in the next several days.
It has happened, I have so little to talk about that I have resorted to talking about the weather.
Sorry for the short post. But I am kind of tired and I don't have much to talk about. So, I'm gonna end it here. Take care.

YES! I finished another drawing of Race. (My character I created.) I actually had the drawing done for sometime now, but I didn't have it colored. So, I colored it in Paint Shop Pro (not Photoshop). And I came up with a really cool idea. I wanted to give him an alter power. So, last night when I went to bed I thought it would be cool to have his alter power related to a scorpion. (That's my zodiac sign, and I find them to be fascinating creatures.) Anyway, so I gave him a tattoo. Well, it's actually not a tattoo. As I develop more on this character, it will be a mark he has on his arm. And through it he summons his alter power, Scorpius.
I actually drew the scorpion myself. Then I scanned it and colored it. Then I resized it and rotated it to put it just right on his arm. And the best part is this may be the tattoo I might end up getting on my arm. I like the idea of putting my own design on myself. I had been wanting to get a scorp tattoo, but I was going to go with someone else's design that I had picked out. Not now.
Ok, well here is the scorpion that I drew.
I won't be putting this in my fan art here, but it will definitely go on my deviantart.
Any Avatar: The Last Airbender fans? I drew a pic of Prince Zuko. I haven't colored it yet. So, as soon as I get it colored I will submit it. Then there is a pic of a female, she's kind of medieval noble looking because of her dress. I drew her about a month ago and started coloring it with colored pencils. But I put it down and have only picked it up once since then to work on it. I'll get it finished one of these days.
See here's my problem. Today while I was working on the Race pic, I got sidetracked drawing a dragon on paper. I've been doing that a lot lately, and it's not good. I have too many drawings that are, "in the works".
Ok, I'm done. Wait... the voting on the contest runs until Friday. I'm getting my arse kicked in this thing. So, once again any votes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Take care everyone.
