Yay! I got the minivan back. It's fixed. I'm no longer stuck at home during the day. Wait, I like being stuck at home during the day. Like I want to go anywhere in this weather. o_O
Hmmm, nothing else happened on Wednesday. Pretty uneventful day.
Oh, I watched Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, extended version. I wanted to watch the other two, but my 4 year old daughter wanted to watch Finding Nemo... Nemo won.
After watching LOTR, it kind of put me in the mood for Tolkien, so I'm thinking about reading The Silmarillion again. But I'm not sure I have enough time for it. I suppose I could just read a little bit each day. (Yeah right, I can't just read a little bit at a time!) ^_^
Well, I'm outta here. Take care.

Ta-da! Here is my winter theme.
I came across this background pic and just had to use it. ^_^
So, what do you think?
I really like it.
I'm hoping the comments will work like this. If not, I will have to figure out something else. But I don't want to because it just goes along with the whole funny theme here.
When I said before that I couldn't get onto Otaku, I meant I could not get on at all! For about 26 hours there was no Otaku for me. Not theotaku.com, not otaku boards, nothing! From what I gather, everyone was able to get on here, but with a few difficulties. All I got for that entire time was, the page telling me there were difficulties locating the page. Why me? I've noticed that a lot of technology around me hasn't been working too good lately. My cable internet went out not too long ago, my MSN messenger has been messing up, then otaku. *sniffle, sniffle* ^_^
It is too damn cold here! It has been dropping down into the single digits. In fact, Tuesday morning it was -1 when I got up. I really don't like the cold. >.<
Well, I'm gonna go find something destructive... uh, I mean constructive, to do. ^_^
Take care.

IT'S BACK!!! YAY!!!
I was getting pretty frantic for a while there. I'm assuming no one else could access The Otaku either.
I took the weekend off from myO, and I was going to update Sunday evening. Well, I was on for a bit, then the pages wouldn't load. And next thing I know, nothing. I was a bit worried that we had lost this place for good!
Anyway, it's back up now. So, I'm happy. XD
I spent Monday playing with some layouts for my site here. I may be changing it in the next couple of days. So you have been forewarned. ^_^
How many people caught the Samurai Champloo Saturday night? OMG! That was the funniest episode I have ever seen! I was practically rolling on the floor laughing.
Oh, and I watched the Season Finale of Avatar Friday night. I haven't watched all of the episodes of that series, but I've seen a lot of them. That finale was a really good one. I can't wait for the new season to start. It looks like it will be really good.
And then there's s-CRY-ed. The last episode is next Saturday. I already know what happens. But I'm kind of bummed. I'm pretty sure after that they will be replacing it with something else. I have all of the episodes in subtitles, so I suppose I can watch them whenever I want. The drawback is that I don't care for the subs that were done on them. Some of the translations just didn't seem to quite fit the scenes. I can't really explain it, you'll just have to take my word for it. ^_^
Hey, I'm kind of curious about something. Since I created the Otaku Chat group on MSN, there are three members. Myself, Inuyasha311, and someone else. I don't know who this other person is. I have not spoken to this other person. I'm just curious if it's someone I know from here on Otaku, or just someone who stumbled across the group and decided to join. So, if you are reading this and that person is you, please let me know. Thanks!
Well, I'm going to head out now. Take care.

EDIT: Am I the only one who could not get on Otaku for the past 26 hours? It looks as though a lot of people were able to update on Monday. And nobody seems to be mentioning this on their posts. o_O I could not get on here from around 9 p.m. Sunday, through 11 p.m. Monday. What the...?

Thursday's summary of events, in other words, here's how my day went...
Woke up, and watched the news a bit. Got kids ready for school. Took kids to school. Came home, and got youngest one, Amber breakfast.
Started laundry. Cleaned while listening to Heavy Metal music. (The best way to clean.) ^_^ Ate lunch. Got tired, and laid down for a bit. Couldn't sleep, so took a hot bath. Did hair and makeup. (Yeah, this is usually done in the morning, but I knew I was going to slave over a messy house.) ^_^
Got a 20 oz. double shot caramel mocha, with whipped cream. ^_^ Picked up youngest son, Tyler from school. (Older son, Casey goes to homework house because grades aren't so good.) o_O Came home, found hubby home early. (Work ran out of work.) o_O
Payday, went to cash paycheck. Still too early to pick Casey up. Drove around a bit. (In horrific icy conditions!) o_O Ran home. (Little girls' room.) ^_^
Picked up Casey. Went to store to get dinner. Bought dinner. While driving home, minivan breaks down. (Short somewhere in the wiring, very hard to trackdown.) x_x Pushed minivan to church parking lot. (Mind you, it's icy, with snow on top.) o_O Hubby got a ride to house to get little Mitsubishi. (Barely seats five.) o_O
Got home, and made dinner. Opened first bottle of sake. (Felt appropriate considering circumstances. *Warns, all underage persons to refrain from doing the previous action until of legal age.*) ^_^ Ate dinner, drank more sake. Now on computer updating.
Yeah, it was a rather interesting day. It started good, then got really bad. Our minivan sits in the church parking lot about 8 blocks from our house. We may try to get it home tomorrow. I'm not sure what we are going to do with it. It's really hard to find a short, unless if you take it to a mechanic. Yeah, right! Do you know what those guys charge? That's exactly why I had considered being a mechanic at one time. But I'm slightly claustrophobic, and I hate the idea of being under a vehicle. o_O
Well, I'm gonna go now. I've had a few cups of sake now, and I'm afraid I may say something I shouldn't, or ramble. ^_^
Take care, my friends.

It's done! The "special" drawing is done, and I submitted it earlier today. The one bad thing about it is that I didn't really think about this until I scanned it. It looks kind of grainy, or rough. The reason it looks like this is because I didn't even pay attention to the sketchbook I was drawing it in. It's a rough sketchbook, 50# rough paper. The drawing looks better on paper, though. I'm so bummed about it. This drawing would've been even more awesome if it had been on better paper. By the way, I have like 5 different sketchbooks of different weights. Actually, I would've loved to have drawn this on my 18 x 24. But at that size I'd have to take a pic of it to submit it. And I don't have a good camera for that. Or scan it in sections and try to put it together. o_O
We have a ton of snow here. I don't like snow. The worst part is when it snows, then gets cold, and the roads get all icy. Then it snows on top of that. It just makes a real mess. We are supposed to get more tomorrow. And I think again on Friday or Saturday.
I will give snow credit for one thing, it looks gorgeous on all of the trees. We have a lot of Pine and Spruce trees around. So, it's like a lot of x-mas trees (not holiday trees), without the lights. ^_^
(Sorry, I had to express my opinion about the whole x-mas vs holiday tree thing.)
My daughter Tawny said that there's a new kid in her class who moved here from California. The teacher asked him if this is his first experience with snow, and it is. So he was asked how he likes it, he said he hates it. He had to go out and shovel the snow... hehe!
Well, I'm drawing a blank as to what else to mention. It seemed like there was more I wanted to say, but it has escaped me at the moment. I know it will come to me later, that happens a lot. o_O
So, take care everyone.

Sorry folks, but I will not be visiting sites this evening (Tuesday). I have a headache, and I'm a bit tired. But I will visit tomorrow (Wednesday).
I got the MSN Group established. I called it Otaku Chat since the main reason for creating it is for chat. But there's also Message Boards, Photo Albums, etc. I'm not sure how often I will be able to go to the chatroom, but I will try to get to it as much as I can. I may be able to be around more often during the weekends. We'll see how it goes. I'm hopeful that it works great.
I should be able to finish my "special" drawing that I'm working on sometime tomorrow. I think I have spent more time on this one than any other drawing. It has a lot of detail.
Well, I'm going to end this here. Take care.

(Note: Yes, the fuchsia colored border is there for a reason.)
Hey, I came up with this idea today. Wouldn't it be fun to chat with other otakus? I mean we have PM and forums, and some people chat with others on Instant Messenger. But I think it would be fun to have a chatroom. I was thinking about making an MSN group for otakus. You can use the chatrooms in the groups for free. However, you have to have MSN. I realize not everyone uses MSN. But I think setting up a free account is easy enough if someone wants to.
There is one drawback... some people tend to become... shall I say, addicted to chatrooms. I've been there. And so, as much as I like the idea, I have to wonder if I really have time to be chatting. o_O
Hmmm, but it's an idea. I'd love the opportunity to chat with my friends here.
Hmmm, well I can't think of anything else to mention. It was a pretty uneventful day (Monday).
So, I think I'll head off now. Take care.

...yes, I intentionally put a fuchsia colored border on my page. I'm only going to leave it like this for a few days. I wanted to show an example of the table I used, and how it works.
Basically I created one image for the whole table, and divided it into sections. So at the top is one image, the next row is three images, then the next row is the three middle columns you see. And the last row is where the comments are. Those middle colums were shorter in the original image because they did not contain all of the content. Then once I got those columns setup, I added the content. And I included an image to the bottom of each column. Which is supposed to look like a bottom border. I can think of other ways I could've done this, like actually specifying borders. But the brownish colored borders you see are only part of the image. Try right-clicking on almost anywhere on my page and you'll find it's an image. You can even take the address in the properties for that image, put it in your address bar and see what that image looks like by itself. By the way, this is for those who are curious as to how I got my page to do this. Otherwise, to the rest of you... Hey! How's it goin'? I'll be with you in a minute. =P
But you can get a page to look similar to mine by setting up a table, put whatever you want in each row and each table cell. And add borders, or not. Also, I updated my HTML help site giving some tips on removing objects from your page, and positioning objects without tables. So, if you have any questions, let me know here or on the help site.
So, how's it going? ^_^
Sorry for not visiting sites yesterday. I took the day off from the computer. I let the rest of the family have the two computers we have connected to the internet. Wasn't that so nice of me? Well, I felt it only right since I spent all of Saturday on the computer. o_O
Sheesh, I'm getting really bad about my drawings. I have about 5 drawings in the works right now. I seem to abandon one to start another one. But the current one that I started on yesterday is a special one. And I am doing this one mostly without reference. It's actually turning out very nice. Most of my drawings look a lot better if I draw from reference. Also, Saturday morning I started drawing Cougar without a reference pic and I nailed him! I'm so proud of myself! I have it completely lined, now I have to decide if I want to keep it just graphite and shade it in like most of my drawings, or use colored pencils to color it, or try to color it on the computer. For some reason, I don't really feel like coloring it with colored pencils. I'm leaning more toward just doing it with graphite.
Well, I'm gonna head off and visit sites now. Take care.

Ok, I got the HTML help site setup. I decided to dress it up a little, but not much. I only have scrollbars on there so far. But I will be adding more soon. And the link for it is down on the lower left side under my links. Or you can click here.
Now I wanted to mention to a few people who asked me about my site here, and how I did it. Well, I'll be glad to share it, but I don't recommend it. For one, I used a lot of images for the content. And part of it was a larger image, divided into different parts. Then I put it in a table. And the main reason I don't recommend doing this type of layout is because it's very tricky and sometimes hard to control. If you look on my archives, it's all messed up. And I don't like that. The table doesn't work properly with all of the added code that's added due to Otaku's content. I'm hoping to find a good table layout that works well with otaku.
Whoa! Samurai Champloo was a really good one! Then, I watched The Boondocks (which I'm not really into that much), but I swear I saw Jin from Samurai Champloo in it! It sure looked a lot like Jin. However this guy may not have had the ponytail. I thought that was pretty funny! ^_^
Well, I'm gonna go now. Take care.

A bit frustrated...
Friday started with waking up at 5:50 am. Why, you ask? I have no idea, but I was wide awake so I stayed up and made some coffee. Watched s-CRY-ed again (you guys are probably going to get tired of hearing me talk about that show, I bet). ^_^ Then, I got on the internet. While doing some surfing, I began to have problems accessing pages. Then I lost my cable internet... poof, gone! I tried calling to find out what was going on, and it turned out it was out throughout most of northern Idaho. *grumbles* And that it would not be back for 12-24 hours! So, that's enough to make me pretty grumpy. (It was down for about 14 hours.)
Then later on I was talking about the holiday parade and fireworks celebration they have downtown on the lake. We have come close to missing it for the past two years (this is our third year living here), but we always remembered it just in time. Well, so I was thinking they have it on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And as I post this it's still Friday night. Anyway, we are sitting there and start hearing these loud booming noises. Thinking, "what the heck?" I go outside to see flashes of light high in the sky, and holiday music off in the distance. Quite a distance at that. I did not realize it could be heard so well from our house. We are about 3 miles from downtown.
So, I was even more bummed about missing it.
Ok, I'm going to put up the design stuff on my other account. I just have to figure out where to start and how I want to do it. I have a few ideas. I'm thinking about leaving the site itself completely undecorated. But yet in a way I wonder if I should do a little bit to it too.
Anyway, I will try to get as much as I can, as soon as possible.
Well, I'm gonna end it here. Take care everyone.
