Time flies when you're having fun...yeah right!
It's hard to believe it's the first of May already. This year is going by way too fast.
Well, not much happening. I seem to have misplaced my Networking text book. I have a test in Networking on Monday, and wouldn't you know it...it's open book. O_o
I was told that we can have one page with whatever we want on it for the test also. So, I went to the online Study Guide and copied everything and rewrote it out and printed it. I'm hoping I will be able to use it. Otherwise, I'm screwed.
I have 2 weeks left of classes, then finals week. So, I'll be pretty busy preparing for that. But after classes end, I'm gonna get busy and get back into drawing again. I can't wait!
My daughter, Tawny turned 14 on Wednesday. Next fall she will be taking driver's ed. It scares me already!
Well that's all for now. Take care!

Wow! Another post...
At the expense of my math, I have decided to add another post. But then, I must get back to studying.
I just wanted to add a quick note letting you know that I put my poems up. So, if you have not read them, and if you enjoy poetry, just click away on the little pics up there.
Hey, did anyone else notice the new cosplay section on Otaku? That's pretty cool! Now, if only I could get all the gear for Gungrave...hmmm, I might have a hard time finding guns like that.
Well, that's all for now. Until next time. Take care.

One more for the road...
Ok, here's post #2 in just a few hours time. Woohoo!...aren't you proud of me?
Well, I went to sites and cleared my guilty conscience. And after this post, who knows how long it will be til my next.
Things will be getting pretty hectic in these final weeks of the semester. So, that's why you may not see me too much. I'll see what I can do.
Well, my absence from Otaku has paid off in some sense. I have actually been doing awesome in my classes. (With the exception of Networking, don't even get me started on that.)
I had an Algebra test, got a 92%, HTML test in my Internet class, got a 95%, and a test in Systems Analysis and Design, I got a 98%!
I have come to realize that Web Design is definitely what I was cut out for. No one else seems to comprehend HTML. Me, I love it! I'm like, give me more! My instructor thinks that I need to get into more programming languages. I think she's right!
Anyway, same old bullshit from the college. I'm hearing that we stand a good chance of winning the fight against administration, but then I hear that it won't happen. The college sent me some other options, which include going to a community college that is about 30 miles from here. Now, the program they have at this other college sounds like a good one, but it's a full load. Currently, I am taking 12 credits. If I go to this other college, I will have to take between 15-20 credits. This may not sound like a big deal to some of you, but keep in mind that I am a wife and mom of 4. Plus if I have to drive 30 miles, that takes out an additional hour and a half from my day, that time is valuable to me.
So, I don't know what my future holds as far as my educational goals. I have just about had it up to here with all of this crap. If I think about it too much then it affects my ability to concentrate on the things I'm working on now. So, I try not to think about it.
Oh yeah, by the way...the college newspaper had an article about the program cuts and I was one of the students quoted in it. Pretty cool, huh?
Let's see...not much else worth mentioning. The weather has finally been getting a lot better around here. We took a walk on the boardwalk on Friday after I got out of class.
A lot of things going on in my life still suck, but hey it's not all bad, it's somewhere around 75% bad, 25% good.
Well, I'm gonna head out. Take care everyone! I'll see you around off and on in the next few weeks.

......
Well, I'm here for a bit. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive. Atleast I haven't lost that yet.
My life is reminding me of a really bad country song...
Anyway, I'm still in school. It's going good, could be better. I've had a hard time concentrating on it because I haven't a clue as to where I'm going next fall. We are still fighting the battle with administration and some believe we have a good chance of winning. And that will be great. But I'm not getting my hopes up too much.
Supposedly, the college will do whatever they can to find me a suitable alternative to the program I was taking. I'm not sure how they plan to do that. There are no suitable alternatives.
I'm not even sure if it was such a good idea posting this. I don't have time to visit sites, I'm really sorry. I really miss checking out everyone's sites. I hope you are all doing well.
That's all for now.
Take care!

Just a quick update...
I haven't been able to get on Otaku much lately. I spent the weekend trying to catch up on studying. Yeah, I wasted my whole spring break playing.
Anyway, now I'm back to classes. And it is true, they are cutting my program. But I found out that we can fight it. Not sure what will happen yet. I go to a meeting tomorrow to hear the "official" announcement of the elimination of certain programs. And apparently, not much can be done tomorrow. We just have to go through the right channels to fight for this. Some people don't understand why they don't let the first-year students finish out their second year atleast, then if they feel they must eliminate it, just don't let any new students into the programs next fall. Which makes sense to me. Of course, I don't think they should eliminate it at all. But the least they could do is let us finish ours.
Hey, how do you like the new feature that shows you if people are signed in or not. Hmmm...I'm mixed about it.
They also have a position for fan art moderator. Should I apply for it? Do you suppose after that last post I'd be considered?
Well, that's it for now. I apologize, but I can't visit sites at this time. I will try to get to you guys tomorrow. I hope you understand. And I hope all is well with everyone!
Take care!

Just a few minutes of your time...
I feel like ranting a bit. But first I'd like to thank everyone who voted and commented on my new drawing. Especially the comments. As I've said before, the votes don't mean much to me. But I enjoy reading comments on my fan art. Which brings me to the topic I wanted to discuss.
For people to comment on my drawings really means a lot to me more now than it did because of this lame-ass comment system they put on here. I mean I know that there had been a lot of comments such as, "Awesome!", "Cool!", Good job!"...short comments like that. But to be forced to have to make a comment of atleast 50 characters is ridiculous! I find myself going to other people's fan art and wanting to comment, but it's hard sometimes to come up with 50 characters worth of comment, without sounding like I added extra stuff just to meet the 50 character min.
So, I've noticed this leads to a lot of needless use of characters, such as, !!!!!!...and so on.
There's one other thing that really bugs me about this whole site. The navigation! Do I need to elaborate more? Or does everyone else notice how hard it is sometimes to get back to your own MyOtaku from certain pages. If I'm looking at someone's fan art and finish looking at it, I have no link to go directly back to MyO. When I first joined here, I viewed the creators of this place like Gods (ok, maybe not that far). But I thought very highly of them. I'm now thinking they are getting ideas from a few select people and thinking it will improve it, but it isn't.
Did you ever notice that most of the people who end up with enough votes to get on the Most Popular list no longer have a high enough rating to be on the Highest Rated list also. Isn't this convenient? I thought that there was a person out there who had several accounts or friends who would conspire to knock down certain people who got too high of a rating. But I started thinking about this. Maybe "certain people" feel that more artists should get a chance to be on the list, instead of the Most Popular and Highest Rated being the same people. I hope I made my point clearly there.
Anyway, I just felt the need to rant about this because the voting system failed many, and now the comment system will fail as well. It's very sad.
Ok, now on to current events. "We will turn it over to Caprice for the weather"
"Thanks Caprice. The high was somewhere in the 50s today, with lots of sunshine. Nothing like that crap we've had before. What will the weather be like tomorrow, you say?...well, let's look at the Weather Channel thingy on the taskbar...NICE!...it says 50 degrees for the high and an 80% chance of precipitation. Well, isn't that special!"
Ok, I'm done with my weirdness. And by now, you're all thinking, "Yep, she's gone off the deep-end." You may be right!
So, I'm going to bring some weirdness your way!

I'm done!
My drawing is done! I submitted it earlier today. So go check it out!
I started to visit sites last night, but I only got about halfway through. So, I will get to all of them tonight.
I'm starting a new drawing at the urging of a friend. It's going along rather slowly. And I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to put into it.
My dad and grandmother are coming to visit tomorrow. And I'm running out of days til I go back to classes on Monday. And I still have a lot that needs to be done.
Well, I dueled Yugi on the computer game, and I won! Yay! It was actually a pretty easy duel. He just couldn't seem to keep a monster on the field.
That's all for now. Have a good one!

See the little emoticon?...
...that means I don't really have much to post.
I spent the whole day (Tuesday)working on my drawing. I had forgotten all about the fun of getting into drawings like this one. My fingers are covered in different shades of grey.
The drawing is coming along real good. I'm actually almost done. But I will not be submitting it until sometime tomorrow (Wednesday).
That gives me an idea...what time should I submit it? I'll go with the most popular time, or closest to it. So be sure to vote on what time I should submit my newest drawing.
Oh yeah, I also dueled Joey today. No competition there. He's easy to beat.
We have this Yu-Gi-Oh! dueling game on our computer. My son Tyler(6) plays it all the time. So, that was kind of fun.
Hmmm, let's see...the weather sucks here! It snowed, but it was mixed with rain, so none of it stuck. I want warm weather! This is my spring break!
Well, I'm off to cause some chaos now. Ooops...I mean I'm going to visit sites now.
Have a good one!

Major Excitement!
...not really, just more sarcasm!
Well, Easter was pretty good. Lots of hard-boiled eggs, candy, and peeps...gotta have the peeps!
Did you know that they have a peeps fan club? That is...pretty funny, actually. Now if anyone reading this is a member of the 'Official Peeps Fan Club', I apologize, I don't mean to offend.
Ok, now on to Monday's events. Not much happened. I started the day trying to get caught up on housework. The keyword here is, 'trying'. Of course the computer sits there calling to me, "There's a world of entertainment, just waiting at your fingertips." So, I ended up neglecting the important stuff, and spent too much time on the internet.
However, I did discover something interesting. I'm not sure how long MSN has had this, but I discovered MSN Spaces. It's a lot like this here on Otaku. It's a blog. So, of course I created my own MSN Space. And I know you're dying to know the address. Ok, perhaps you're not, but here's the address anyway for your curiosity. http://spaces.msn.com/members/caprices-space/
Well, I suppose I should talk about the drawing I'm working on. I haven't had a chance to work on it today. I worked on it quite a bit last night, and it was going along pretty good. However, there is one little problem. I have a major element a little out of proportion. Now, of course I will have to re-draw that part, but it looked pretty good to begin with. Except, that it was slightly too small.
Ummm...let's see...oh, yeah! While I was on the computer earlier, I noticed my little icon for The Weather Channel was flashing red and blue (normally, it's blue). So, I clicked on it and it had a severe weather report for my area...snow!!! We are supposed to get rain and snow showers for the next three days!
My 13 year old daughter called me, wanting me to pick her up from Best Buy. So, on my way there I went through rain, snow, and hail! And I had to keep changing the speed of the wipers. It would stop, then a downpour. Blah!...I hate this weather!
Well, I'm gonna hit sites now.
Have a good one!
