The good, the bad, and the ugly
I have good news, bad news, and my Wednesday was rather ugly.

The good news is that I saved a bunch of money... ummm, no... that's not what the good news is. Seriously, my Dante drawing made it as a news article cover art on theO. The article is about the upcoming Devil May Cry anime. So, I'm excited about my art, and the anime. Giggidy-giggidy! XD

The bad news is... well, I'm gonna wait a bit on that.

My day was ugly because, after I took my kids to school in their pajamas, (yes, you read that right, Wednesday was pajama day) I got home to find a message saying that my 5 year old daughter is in the office, there is no kindergarten today. o_O
None of the papers I have at home say anything about this. This caused a bit of a problem for my work. But I got it worked out. I was just really frustrated. Plus, the house I had to clean is the most horrible house in the world. (I think I've mentioned it a time or two.)

Anyway, now on to the bad. This means that I'm now going into the Otakubowl segment of my post. No one gave me a tie breaking vote for Naruto vs Death Note. And I could not find anyone else to give me one. So, I flipped a coin. Naruto got it. So, Death Note is out. However, that is not the bad news I was referring to. Last year's Grand Champion, Trigun, (also my all-time fave) has been defeated. It was close, almost a tie. But not enough. So, here's the results.

Oh, what a night...
Yikes! I'm running a little late getting this posted. And I only got to a few sites on Tuesday. So, I promise to get caught up after I post this.

Ok, I'm gonna get right to the Otakubowl because Tuesday's results were pretty intense for a while there. Some of them started out in the lead, then the other one would pull ahead. And to top it off, we have a tie between Naruto vs Death Note. Here's the results.

How can you have any pudding, if you don't eat your meat?
Work went well on Monday, nothing too eventful. Later in the day I had to go to 2 of my kids' parent-teacher conferences. One was not so good. He's gonna have to start going to homework house after school. Atleast for a couple of weeks. The other is doing phenomenal, as usual. ^_^

Since I don't have much to say about my day on Monday, I'll get right to the Otakubowl. The tie between Cowboy Bebop vs Rurouni Kenshin was broke with one vote for RK. Here's the results from Monday's match ups.

Panic Plunge
Ok, that subject might not have been quite appropriate. It should've been Tremors. Because Panic Plunge is the name of a ride at Silverwood (the theme park I had mentioned), where you go up 140 feet, then get dropped down. Tremors is the name of one of the rollercoasters they have there. My weekend was like a rollercoaster ride. ^_^

Hubby has made the decision, on his own, to stick with his current employer. They just recently lost a welder, which leaves only 2 including hubby. If he leaves it would put them in a really bad situation. The company has been good to him, really good to him. So, he's gonna stay for a while.

Friday night Riled, the band I'm friends with, had a show. However, my 15 year old daughter and her boyfriend wanted to go see a movie and I had promised them to take them and pick them up. Movie started at 7:35. Riled show started at 9:30, with Riled as the opening band. I picked up daughter and boyfriend at around 9:15. By the time I got to the show, Riled had already played. I was bummed.

Saturday I was busy getting stuff done around the house. Then Sunday, we went out to Les's house (drummer for Riled) for practice and barbecue. The practice was pretty good. By the way, if anyone is interested in checking them out, they are at http://www.myspace.com/riledband. And the barbecue was yummy! ^_^
Then, after coming home, we had to get the kids baths and stuff. I desperately needed to cut my 8 year old son's hair, so I did that. Then, I got on here to post. But got sidetracked by a few things. So, I'm posting late.

Also, over the weekend I saw Clerks 2, The Covenant, Saw 3, and The Prestige. For the most part, they were all good movies. Loved Clerks 2, what a hilarious movie.

Anyway, I'll get on to the Otakubowl results from Friday. It would seem we have a tie. So, I need one more vote to break it. The tie is between Cowboy Bebop vs Rurouni Kenshin. If there is someone who hasn't voted on that match up, and would like to cast their vote... go for it.

Much aniticipated Friday
I am so glad this week is almost over. I'll recap, Monday wasn't too bad. Tuesday sucked. Wednesday was really good. Thursday sucked even more than Tuesday. Yeah, my job is really getting to me. I try not to stress over things too much. But I'm really stressing because of my job. Maybe I should go back to school.

I did get some news today that could turn out to be pretty good, if everything turns out. My hubby, who's a welder, has been doing some work through his current employer out at our local theme park called Silverwood. It's actually a pretty nice park. Anyway, he was offered a job there making as much as $2 more per hour than what he's making now. Plus, if he does take the job, we'll get in free. Yeah, that's a huge bonus in my opinion. It's normally $20 a day to get in. That may not seem like much, but when you're a famiy of six that costs a pretty penny.

Everything
For those of you who actually have the volume on, I changed my song. The previous one was the theme song from Devil May Cry 3. But I've heard this song a few times in the past week or so on the radio that caught my attention. I found out today that it is done by the band Buckcherry. (Yep, the same guys who did the song Crazy Bitch... who knew?) ^_^
Anyway, I decided to put this song on here. I hope you like it. If not, consider yourself lucky, it could be worse, I could have the Beer song by Psychostick (which is my anthem). Yes, beer is good. ^_^

Anyway, my Wednesday was awesome! I didn't have to clean the worst house in the world today. XD
(This is the normal routine for Caprice on Wednesdays.) Instead, I had the day off. Wheee! So, I'm in a really good mood.

Thank you for choosing magic carpet for all your travel needs
Was it Monday or Tuesday yesterday? Because I'm pretty sure the calendar said it was Tuesday, but it sure felt like a Monday. Yeah, my day sucked. For the most part. Although, later in the day I found out Eragon came out on DVD, so I went and bought it. Now mind you, I saw it in the theatre back in December and I was reading the book at the time, but I was only up to page 100. So, not too far in the book. I was a little confused by the movie. Especially when I went and finished the book, and read it a second time. Now when I watched the movie again Tuesday night, I was kind of annoyed by it. I mean it's a good enough movie. But I just feel like they didn't put enough time and money into it. It seems like they rushed through making it. Uh-well, what can ya do? ^_^

Then, I had to run my daughter's boyfriend home which was the normal time I update on here. And when I got back, hubby was on the computer playing HALO. Sheesh! So, this post is a little later than normal. But I'm posting now. And I know you are anxious to hear about the Otakubowl. So, I'll get on with it.

Daily recipe
For lack of anything else interesting to say. I figured I'd give you guys a recipe for a yummy dish I made for dinner. I've had something similar, and it's actually rather common. But some of the ingredients made it unique.

Brown 2 lbs. of ground beef. Mix in one can of golden mushroom soup, and one can of cheddar cheese soup. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13 baking pan. Top with tater tots, then grated cheese on top of the tots. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. I prefer to use a five cheese taco blend.

Oh, I know. I could say a few things in response to comments. I'm kind of curious what the connection is between anime and Hockey. There seems to be a lot of people here who are Hockey fans.

And for someone to only watch NASCAR for the crashes is horrible! Hahaha! I'm kidding! ^_^

Forgetting about St. Patty's day is impossible in my house. There's a strong Irish background here.

Sometimes I just feel so... *sniffles, wipes away a tear*... lucky... *sob*... to have friends like you. *Grabs bowling trophy* I'd like to thank my mom, without her I'd be in denial about my sanity; my kids for driving me to this state of insanity; my wonderful friends, who still think that I'm sane; and the academy... I honestly don't know what academy I'm thanking, but any academy will do. *strolls off holding bowling trophy tightly*

   Monday...
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Especially, a very happy St. Patty's day. I spent part of Saturday on the computer. Then went out with some friends for a while. Later that night we went over to a friend's house for a party. It was fun. ^_^

Sunday was a relaxing day. Watched the Nextel Cup race. Eh, Junior finished 14th. It kind of sucked because he was running in the top 10, even top 5, most of the race. But something happened in pit stop, it put him back several places. I'm getting kind of frustrated with his season so far. He hasn't been doing too well. (And for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. I'm a big NASCAR fan. My favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr.)

Oh, since there weren't many people around over the weekend, I wanted to mention the fan art I submitted Friday afternoon. Also, thank you so much for the votes and faves I've gotten so far. You guys are awesome. I was asked about how I figure the faves factor into my comparison between the new voting system and the old. Well, to me a favorite is like worth 10 votes. Serious! Quick update

I wasn't going to update over the weekend. But, since I submitted my drawing Friday afternoon, I decided I'd let everyone know. Man, I miss the good ol' days when you'd submit something and get all kinds of comments and "Yes" votes. Though, the "No" votes were a bit frustrating. But you know, getting 31 views and only 1 vote in the new system is a lot like getting 1 "Yes" vote and 30 "No" votes on the old system. Eh, I'm not going to dwell on it, though. I like my drawing. ^_^
