Otakubowl '07
I posted a little late on Monday, so some of you might have missed it. So, I'm updating to let everyone know I am now taking nominations for the Otakubowl. I'll give some info about it shortly. However, I feel I need to stress something. Since I am now in the midst of the Otakubowl, this can be somewhat time consuming for me. So, I have decided that each day when I post I will visit people. Though, I will ONLY visit those who have commented. I'm going to limit my posts to only covering the Otakubowl, unless if there is something pressing that I feel must be mentioned. I know others are limited for time as well, so I don't plan on making my posts too long. With that said, I am going to repost the info I had in Monday's post about the Otakubowl for those who don't know about it. If you read yesterday's post, don't worry about reading the following. Also, there is a full explanation of the Otakubowl if you click the link on the Otakubowl banner above.

The Otakubowl is a competetion featuring some of the most popular anime series, anime/video game based movies, manga, and video games. Nominations will be held until there are 16 contenders for each category. Once all of the categories have reached 16 contenders, the competitions will be lined up to pit one contender against another, or match ups. The winner of each match up will move on to the next round, and the loser is out of the competition. And of course who wins is up to you, the voters.

The match ups will take place each and every weekday (Monday thru Friday). Each day will include match ups between two competitors in each of the 5 categories. The results from the previous match ups held the day before will be posted. (Results from Friday match ups may not be posted until Monday.)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Also, I must stress that the third category is MOVIE based on an anime or video game, i.e.; Howl's Moving Castle (anime) or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (video game). Those are movies based on either anime or video game.

Those categories again are:

-Anime Series Old (original release before 2000)

-Anime Series New (original release after 2000)

-Movie (anime or video game based)

-Manga

-Video Game

You don't have to put in nominations for all five categories. Only the ones you want to. Or, you don't have to put in any at all. But the more nominations I get, the better. However, once a category reaches 16 competitors, I won't take anymore.

Take care.
