Yep, I'm finally updating again. I've popped in on occasion since my last update to see how people are doing. I often think about my friends here. Especially recently, I've thought of those who live in southern California. I hope all is well with you.
I came to realize that the problem with being gone for so long is that I end up with so many things I want to say. But yet I don't have the time to type out everything. That's the main reason I don't get around here as often... not enough time.
However, I will say that I am doing quite well. I finally have a job that I am extremely happy with. I've never felt this way about a job in my life. I sometimes think it's too good to be true. It's not the perfect job, but it's the best job for me at this point in my life. Unfortunately, it is not doing what I love doing most, which is Web/Graphic Design. I am doing cleaning, which is what I'm really good at. This isn't just any cleaning job, though. I'm only cleaning houses that are vacant, also called move-outs. This is my favorite type of cleaning because there is no one there. I just turn on the tunes and go to work. It's a bit more detailed, and tends to be harder work, but that's what I prefer to do. And the work I do is as a sub-contractor. So, I'm not actually employed by anyone, I'm self-employed. I'm in the process of building it into a business and taking on new clients.
As for Web/Graphics, I'm currently being self-taught in some of those areas. It's more a hobby now. Like I dont' already have enough hobbies. But hey, I think having a lot of hobbies makes a person more interesting... or perhaps just more confusing. Either way, I'm pretty sure I'm not a very dull person.
My kids are running me ragged with the mounds of school papers they bring home each day. The funny thing is that my work day is actually more of a break than home. It's pretty quiet at work (except the music). So when I pick up the kids from school the chaos begins. Sometimes I want to run, pulling my hair, screaming, "let me go back to work!" :D
I have not watched any anime in too long. Video games are almost nonexistent in my life (which is bad.) Although, every once in a while I go to gametap.com and play one of my favorite games. I had been reunited with one of my all-time favorite arcade games, Black Tiger. When I was around 17 years old I played this game constantly. No, I didn't fork out hundreds of dollars in quarters playing an arcade game. One of my first jobs was janitorial with my mom at a bowling alley, which also had an arcade. And of course we knew the owners quite well. So, I had access to the key to the games. Now, you are probably thinking I must have been shirking my duties if I was playing games. Well, we were salary paid instead of hourly rate. We pretty much had all night to clean it, and it would normally take 4-5 hours to clean. So, I had plenty of time to play my game. I finished the game numerous times. In the process competing with someone with the initials of ACE. Anyway, I discovered Black Tiger on gametap.com for a limited trial period. Well, when my trial ran out, I signed up for an account. So, I can play it whenever I want. Though, that hasn't been too frequently lately.
Well, I think I've rambled enough. I could go on for hours, but I'm fading fast. I need to get to bed. I might not get to visit everyone who visits in the next couple of days. However, I promise I will visit soon. I miss all of myO friends. And I hope everyone is safe and doing well, wherever you live.
Take care.
