Just a few minutes of your time...
I feel like ranting a bit. But first I'd like to thank everyone who voted and commented on my new drawing. Especially the comments. As I've said before, the votes don't mean much to me. But I enjoy reading comments on my fan art. Which brings me to the topic I wanted to discuss.
For people to comment on my drawings really means a lot to me more now than it did because of this lame-ass comment system they put on here. I mean I know that there had been a lot of comments such as, "Awesome!", "Cool!", Good job!"...short comments like that. But to be forced to have to make a comment of atleast 50 characters is ridiculous! I find myself going to other people's fan art and wanting to comment, but it's hard sometimes to come up with 50 characters worth of comment, without sounding like I added extra stuff just to meet the 50 character min.
So, I've noticed this leads to a lot of needless use of characters, such as, !!!!!!...and so on.
There's one other thing that really bugs me about this whole site. The navigation! Do I need to elaborate more? Or does everyone else notice how hard it is sometimes to get back to your own MyOtaku from certain pages. If I'm looking at someone's fan art and finish looking at it, I have no link to go directly back to MyO. When I first joined here, I viewed the creators of this place like Gods (ok, maybe not that far). But I thought very highly of them. I'm now thinking they are getting ideas from a few select people and thinking it will improve it, but it isn't.
Did you ever notice that most of the people who end up with enough votes to get on the Most Popular list no longer have a high enough rating to be on the Highest Rated list also. Isn't this convenient? I thought that there was a person out there who had several accounts or friends who would conspire to knock down certain people who got too high of a rating. But I started thinking about this. Maybe "certain people" feel that more artists should get a chance to be on the list, instead of the Most Popular and Highest Rated being the same people. I hope I made my point clearly there.
Anyway, I just felt the need to rant about this because the voting system failed many, and now the comment system will fail as well. It's very sad.
Ok, now on to current events. "We will turn it over to Caprice for the weather"
"Thanks Caprice. The high was somewhere in the 50s today, with lots of sunshine. Nothing like that crap we've had before. What will the weather be like tomorrow, you say?...well, let's look at the Weather Channel thingy on the taskbar...NICE!...it says 50 degrees for the high and an 80% chance of precipitation. Well, isn't that special!"
Ok, I'm done with my weirdness. And by now, you're all thinking, "Yep, she's gone off the deep-end." You may be right!
So, I'm going to bring some weirdness your way!
Catcha later...
