Thank you for all of the kind words from everyone, it really means a lot to me.
I'm going to briefly explain about the minivan. We put $1500 down on it last July, and took on payments of $140 a month. It's a 1995 Dodge Caravan. Used cars like that don't have warranties. You buy them as they are. If things go wrong with them, it is your problem, you fix it at your expense.
So, the first time it broke down my hubby tried to fix it. He did, but it wasn't entirely fixed. We figured it had a short somewhere. It broke down again, and my hubby tried to figure it out, but he just doesn't have the equipment to figure out what's wrong with it. So, our last resort was to call the car lot and tell them what's going on. They offered to come pick it up and have a "technician" look at it. But this would be at our expense.
They fixed it and we got it back, like I had said in my Thursday post.
So, like I said in yesterday's post, it broke down again. They were supposed to have fixed it and we already paid some money on the repairs! So, we called the car lot and they said they'd have their mechanic look at it again, of course, at our expense again.
No way! Do I have sucker written on my forehead? We tried to get them to let us trade for something else they might have on their lot, but they wouldn't do that. So, this is why we are just having them take it back. Unfortunately, we have lost a lot of money on this.
And to top off this wonderful week I've been having. When I woke up Friday morning it was about 60 degrees in my house. Our furnace went out! What else can go wrong? We rent, so we called the property management and they said someone would be over. Luckily we have a couple of space heaters to help warm the house a bit. Plus, we turned on the oven for a short while and left the door open. Someone didn't come over to fix it until about 1 o'clock in the afternoon! o_O
Hey, how many of you have heard of the band The Bravery? I am a member of BMG and I keep forgetting to cancel my selection of the month. Last month it was Fall Out Boy, which I was going to have a contest to give that one away, but my daughter likes them. So, I gave it to her. Well, I was thinking the same thing again when I got The Bravery cd in the mail. But I listened to them on their site and they aren't bad. It's not my normal style of music, but they kind of remind me of The Cure. And I like some of their songs. So, I haven't decided what I'm going to do with this cd yet. I haven't opened it, just in case if I decide to have some kind of contest for it.
I think I'm gonna take Saturday night off from here. So I won't update or visit sites until Sunday night. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Take care.
Catcha later...
