cold!!!!
It's been a long time since I've written anything here. I've caught a cold, so I'm being rather tired at the moment. I'm almost constantly drinking tea with honey, which is actually quite nice ^__^
School's okay too. My grades are way better than last year, except for maths. I really suck at maths...
I haven't really done anything cool the past few days. But I'm going to in three weeks. Because then's my birthday!!! ^______^
Today I woke up with the thought: 'I want snow!' I've got this thing with Winter, I don't know why, but I just love snow. Especially when it's Christmas. I've only witnessed one! white Christmas....yet.
Please tell me what your idea is of the perfect Christmas!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!
I'm happy!!!! I've actually got no idea why, but that doesn't really matter ^___^
Yesterday was my sister's birthday. Not many people showed up, but she got a lot of cards instead. Which is also nice of course. My granddad is here right now and one of my sister's friends is coming this evening. She's really enjoying her presents ^_^ 11-Year olds can be sweet sometimes...
Damn, I just heard that the Nightwish concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam is sold out. Grrr...But there's still hope. Nightwish has another concert planned in Oberhausen (Germany) in December ^____^ they're performing together with After Forever! Even better!
Ah! I just realised something. It's only 8 weeks 'til my birthday O_O (29th November)
And I've no idea what to ask...wel, I have some, but it'll probably too expensive. But I would like to have TheSims2.
But I'll tell you everything about my birthday the day after ^_^
*sighs* ^________^

School...-_-
It's been way too long since I've written something. Bu that's actually because I'm really busy with school and stuff.
School has started, the introduction day we had was pretty boring and it lasted way too long. There's (I think) no student in the entire world, who'd like to hear a teacher talk for one and half hour!
The day after, school started. I've got almost exactly the same subjects as last year. I've stopped with ancient Greek and Latin and I've got a new subject: economics. It's soooo boring and way to easy for me.
I also went to the 'Land van Ooit'. My sister had won a prize, so she could spend a day at the 'Land van Ooit' with a special programme about Roald Dahl.
The Tournament with the four knights was really cool. I think Solo would've enjoyed it very much ^_^
It was pretty violent, considering it was something for children. Which is something I'd like to continue on.
Parents keep going on about that modern television is too violent for children and that is ruins their minds. Often is said that if children watch a television show with fighting in it, they go out on the streets and reanact it. I have seen some kids do that, but only with cardboard figures and plastic toys. So in my opinion parents are overreacting a bit. So let me know what you think about this.
Do parents overreact when they talk about violence on TV?

Great Weekend
Mweeee! *jumps* Last Saturday I went to the 'Zomerparkfeesten': It's a festival where loads of known and unknown artists perform. There's music, comedy and more. It's in Venlo for four days and it's really cool.
I went with my best friend on Saturday evening. We only went to see one group playing, because we needed to get up early the next morning.
So we went to see After Forever, which is a Dutch gothic-metal band. They played a lot of their own songs but also one from Iron Maiden ^_^ . And it was so cool *jumps again*! Though it was pretty crowded I could see everthing. The ground on which we were standing was not really comfortable though. Because it had rained that afternoon it was very muddy, so when you would lift your foot you'd hear this sucking sound...blergh. After Forever played for an hour and then we had to leave. They were doing a signing in a tent next to the stage, but it was crowded we didn't went (I buy my musicbooks at the same store as they come for their instruments, so I can get an autograph anytime ^_____^ ). Conclusion: AFTER FOREVER ROCKS!
The next morning we got up at 7 (Dutch time) and we had an hour until our train left (which was very little time considering we were still half asleep because of After Forever ^_^). We were going to see a friend, who we hadn't seen for a long time. We had to sit in the trains for more than two hours O_O! When we finally got there we still had to walk 30 minutes to our friends home. When we entered the cats went beserk and started jumping (which is a really weird thing to see). We did some fun stuff (we watched Harry Potter 3 on a laptop...wasn't a very good idea) and then our friend let her ferret out. That was the most hyperactive ferret I've ever seen. It really liked my trousers, because the ends are very wide, so it was constantly trying to get inside the ends. And at 8pm we had to leave again. Another 2 and a half hours in the trains -_-. So when we got a my place again we almost immediately fell asleep.
Oh yes, I almost forgot!
*pokes Solo and runs away*
Hehe.

Museum
Today I went to the museum with my parents and sister. When some people hear the word ‘museum’ they go like ‘BORING!’ or ‘Museums are for nerds!’. Which is (in my opinion) not true. The museum that we visited is the ‘Limburgs Museum’ in Venlo (where I live). It shows the history of the city of Venlo.
Prehistory
When you enter that room you walk straight into a collection of human skulls. Homo erectus, homo sapiens all those. And they had wax figures with animal skins. And of course the usual stuff: bones, small stone knives and pottery.
Romans
’Wome is youw vwiend!’ Historical words from Monty Python’s Life of Brian. You can find loads of Roman stuff in Venlo. There has even been an archaeological site where they have found houses of craftsmen, city walls and even a part of an old Roman bathhouse. Again wax figures: a soldier, a rich Roman man, a poor woman and a potter (no his name was not Harry!). And also beautiful Roman glass, which also can be found in Venlo’s soil.
Medieval
Loads of miniature castles! Very nice. I think that the Medieval period in human history is one of my favourites. They also had very nice swords and other weapons such as axes and a longbow. And some very interesting armour (‘Solo!’). Very small part of the museum.
Other
And then there was the rest of Venlo’s history. A room filled with small kitchens and a room filled with religious stuff (which wasn’t interesting at all). And then they had an exhibition my sister (10 years old) wanted to visit: ‘Barbie – 45 years of dreams and reality’. At first I was like: ‘I’m way too old to visit a Barbie exhibition!’, but when I stepped into the room It was like: ‘I had that one! And that one! And look at the small yellow shop…I used to have that too!’ Sometimes when I was looking at a group of dolls a little girl would say something like : ‘Oh mummy, I want that one too.’ Mum: ‘If it’s not too expensive I’ll think about it.’ Little Girl: ‘I love you mummy!’ It made me feel soooo old >_< . Especially when I saw all those little kids and I was saying something like: ‘I used to have that!’ and a woman who was about 40 years old would say the same thing.
But it was a really nice day. I also liked the strawberry ice cream in the restaurant ^_^ . It made me feel young again, HOORAY!!!

Shopping
My parents had their wedding anniversary (20 years!)so we went shopping in Roermond. And it turned out to be a very good idea.
I needed some school supplies so we bought those first. Next stop was getting me and my sister some new trainers. Got those. Next stop was a instrument shop because the cover of my piano was too small. There I got a new book (Harry Potter 1) from my parents ^_^ .And after passing loads of other stores mum wanted to have lunch. So we had lunch, it wasn’t really lunch. The place where we were was out of anything you would have when you would have a decent lunch, so we ended up with having the smallest pieces of cake you can imagine o_o. When we were finished dad wanted to visit this huge bookshop he saw earlier. When we got there it turned out not to be as huge as he said, but it had some really nice books. My dad was in a generous mood so we all got a book we liked. So now I can welcome ‘How to Draw Fantasy Characters and Worlds’ in my bookshelf ^____^.
When we walked to another (!) bookshop I saw this beautiful little shop, it had these New Age clothes in the front. I needed a cloak with my dress, so we walked in. They didn’t have cloaks, but a store across the street might have them. That one didn’t have cloaks either.
My dad and my sister went to that bookshop as my mum and I walked to the last shop that might have cloaks. When we stood in front of the shop I couldn’t believe what I saw! There was this gorgeous Laughing Vampire dress and there were also beautiful helmets and swords! I practically ran inside. Immediately I spotted a corner with Laughing Vampire clothes. And there they were, three beautiful cloaks.
A ‘Jack the Ripper’ cloak, I didn’t really like and it was very expensive (€ 200,- !!!). The next one was red and wouldn’t match with the dress (which is green) and that one was also very expensive (€ 168,- !!!). The last one was stunning. It’s made of black velvet and it has this totally wicked cap. It looks like the one that Arwen has when she’s leaving Middle-Earth in the Return of the King. I got it! *dances*
And me dad got me W.I.T.C.H. 17, my favourite manga! Now it was time to go home. As we walked past a music store I couldn’t resist buying the latest album from After Forever! I like it very much, the theme of the album is ‘growing up’. Very beautiful, especially when you read the lyrics ^_____^ .

Zoo...
*giggles* I've been to the zoo... *feels like a little kid*
And it was HOT...>_< Not very nice. But we did get to see loads of crazy animals. Like the bears, they were acting really weird: they were lying on their back with their paws in the air...still alive, don't worry! And all the lions, tigers and cat-like creatures were being sooo lazy. Unbeliveble!
The polarbears were cool though (too obvious). When you would put your hand against the glass they would come over a start trying to poke their heads through the glass, which was actually really sweet ^_^
There was also a rainforest hall with loads of snakes! They had one spider and they were just about to feed it...I'll skip that part. There were also wolves ('Solo!') but unfortunately I didn't see them. I also saw (read heard) some really noisy birds, I forgot their names but they were terrible. They looked pretty though ^_^.
I know it sounds stupid but the restaurant there was amazing! The ceiling was covered with 'plants' and 'flowers'. A broken airplane was hanging there too. And they also had a light show with rainforest sounds and pictures. Just random when you were sitting there, eating your lunch ^_^.

I did it!!!
I did it!!! I finally managed to buy one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen! It's from Laughing Vampire (gothic clothing) and it's green and soooo beautiful! I took me a very long time to save for it, but it's definetely worth it!
[ Solo? Do you still want the picture?? It's that dress I showed you at Land of Legends.]
Hm, I'm being clumsy again. I scratched myself and now there's blood everywhere..hang on...
And I got my new school diary (in Dutch it's called an 'agenda' so I don't if school diary is right). It's from W.I.T.C.H.! YAY! And in case you don't know, W.I.T.C.H. is a manga (in colour though). It has this page in it with a white spot and it says: 'A picture of the sweetest person I know!!!'
I don't have a picture of the sweetest person I know...~_^

random stuff
I finally finished the picture of Captain Iuno after something like 6 hours or so. I had some problems with the shading, which didn't exactly turned out like I planned, so that took me 2 hours to reset. My left hand is officially dead now >_< .
I'm planning to put the third chapter of my SCI-FI story online, it just needs some changes, but I think I can get it online this evening ^_^ .
YAY! The third chapter from 'Planet 1' is online! *looks behind her* Oh my god, dad is watching Star Wars. He's just like a little kid ^_^ .

Art
I've spent what felt like 5 hours on one little picture. Blergh! Anyway, it's something I drew in a weird mood after seeing some pictures of Tokyo Mew Mew.
My hand is aching. But I'm sooo glad I've got a graphic tablet and I don't have to do everything with a mouse ^_^. I think I'm going to draw Captain Iuno now...well...I'm going to TRY to draw her.
