Excellent!
I am happy once again! I found an ending explanation written by someone smarter than myself and am filled with a bit more happiness! The ending is no longer bitter, but is rather beautiful!

And, it doesn't leave me disturbed yet happy like RahXephon. Ah well, at least RahXephon made sense in the end....mostly.
