I'm baaa-aaack!
Okies, it's gonna take me awhile to get caught up on everything since I've been gone. First let me post about my vacation, then I'll start getting cuaght up on everyone's posts, ok? Ok...
Well, it was a pretty long trip there. We started out late and had to spend the night somewhere along the way. When we finally got there, about the first thing we did was hit the beach. It was beautiful, with white sand and brilliant green water...we soon found out though, that the water was green for a reason. There was all kinds of this green algae crap floating in it. You couldn't see anything because of it! Gross out! And it was a long way to the bathhouse, too...
At one point we were driving through the town, and got stopped at a red light. I was sitting in the backseat, practically drooling because from where we were, I could see a Books-A-Million and a Barnes and Noble. ^___^ Talk about a happy camper!
I bought a few manga/mangas (whatever you call it) and I was leaving- call me evil, twisted, etc if you want- I saw a set of Tarot cards. I had wanted one for a long time and hadn't been able to find one, so I picked it up. And my dad kinda sorta...freaked. He said, "I don't want those in my house!" and I think it started something of a fight between my mom and him -_-' They've been kinda at it for awhile now, and it really kills me when I'm the cause or the subject of an argument of theirs... But anyway. I didn't buy it cuz I figured dad'd hate me for it, you know? *sigh*
On to a happier subject. We took a sunset dolphin cruise and a snorkeling trip thing. We didn't see any dolphins, but that was ok. I had fun anyway. The first mate was really cute ^_^' It was kinda funny, because on the dolphin cruise, almost everyone on there was from Tennessee. There was even a girl who knew one of my friens on board! Kinda weird... The snorkeling trip was fun, too. We took the same boat (with the same first mate ^_^) and saw all kinds of fish and such. I held a jelly fish (one that didn't sting, of course). BUT... because of how you float when you snorkel, i's really easy to burn your back and arms and legs...The back of my thighs were really burned. Sitting down was a real pain for awhile there!
To keep from getting burned even worse, I actually wore a t-shirt in the pool the next day. We had a lot of fun, but leave it to me to forget the sunscreen for my face. That got burned so badly, I couldn't even smile! Ouch! And now, large portions of my face are peeling off... Ick. Yeah, anyway.
The trip home was an absolute killer, even in a motor home. I hate to think how bad it was for my parents, who drove home in the car. I had a headache the entire way, and my sunburn was hurting. I listened to my cd's for most of the way home. I practically wore out some of them... Hey, has anyone else noticed how difficult it is to use the bathroom when the toilet keeps jumping around under you? Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have a bathroom on the road, but the bumps and stuff are really irritating when you're in the restroom. At one point, we were stopped for a minute and then papaw sped up real fast and I got thrown into the shower! Not fun... We made it home at about 2:30 in the morning, and it was another hour before I had unpacked and got in the bed.
I'm glad to be home now, I'll tell you that! Whew...Well, I need to take a shower. I check everyone's posts after that, ok? Bye!
