Demon Diary
Journal Entry Two:

Good morning to whom ever this greeting is concerned with. The night was quite a pleasant one. I slept quite nicely, but that was last night. Now it’s a bit chilly and the winds are starting to pick up. I bet you my powers that I will rain. So I guess this means that I will be stuck here in my cavern for today. Since I have nothing better or interesting to do I’ll tell/write another story. Shall we begin?
After I had killed Ira and buried my parents, I gathered all of my belongings, which were a few days worth of clothing. Food I could easily catch and shelter could be found with little effort. Once I had all that I wanted from my room, I went outside. There I stood at a fair distance watching my parent’s house. It looked as if nothing had occurred. The only proof of any damage that showed was the fact that the door was gone and ashes surrounded the ground. I wanted to see that there wasn’t any reminder of what had occurred only two hours ago. So I incinerated the house. I watched it burn to the ground, I can still remember it was if it were yesterday, the smell of burning wood and the heat that was created by the fire.
I was surprised when two villagers came to rescue the house from the fire. I was sure that they weren’t doing it to save it for us, but for them, so they could move in and claim the land theirs, but I was determined to keep the land. It didn’t matter if the land was permanently ruined, it was mine and no one would take it away from me, not a feeble mortal like them. Slowly I approached them, pretending that I was there to help. One of the men turned to me and shouted, “Why don’t you save the house? Don’t’ you want it?” Then another man shouted, “If you don’t then I’ll keep it!”
Poor fellow, he had said what I didn’t want to hear. “I want…you life.” Both men stopped what they were doing and looked at me. “What?” It was obvious that they thought I had said something else; probably ‘I want your wife.’ I slowed my pace as I repeated myself. “I said I want your life.” They turned pale within seconds. -now that I think about it they probably would have given me their wives in return for their life. Pathetic bastards.
I was now close to one that I could have touched his cheeks. They were cold, but as my hand slid across his cheeks my claws elongated, leaving behind two trails of trickling, warm blood. He looked at me in fear waiting go my next move. The other one turned and tried to run for his dear life, but I had summoned the power of earth and soon had his legs rooted to the spot. “It’s useless to run. Your life is MINE!” I slashed my hand at the one in front of me and his head cam clean off, soon followed by blood spewing from his neck. I walked over to the second man, who was shaking in fear. I took his life by squeezing the air out of his lungs with the roots of the nearby trees. I watched as his ribs snapped and pierced his lungs forcing him to choke and spit blood. He soon died and fell limp to the ground.
The house still burned to ashes. I took my clothes off and replaced it with clean ones. I threw the blood-drenched ones into the fire and left. I didn’t bury those men that I had killed. I wanted their body to be a warning for those who wanted my land.
I went to a nearby tribe. The people there didn’t fear demons, but rather worshipped them. I was treated very kindly and given my own land, home and servants. The tribe people never asked me where I was from, but rather how long I would stay. “Till the time comes.” was all that I would say when I was asked. The tribe was quite isolated from the outside world so I would rarely hear news from the outside unless a merchant came. Three days after I had left home came the merchant to the tribe. He traded food for tools and as always he would exchange with the locals of the latest news, that a few days ago a demon had attacked two humans and dragged them back to this land, where he had gone mad and killed them along with his own parents.
The locals were in awe, but didn’t give much thought to it. Since the “demon” had vanished. As the news reached my ears I laughed at such an impudent cover up of the real story. Pathetic mortals, they lie more then they can count. I soon dismissed the news and lived with the tribal people for six months in peace…till…
…you see I told you it was going to rain. You know one thing that elemental demons can do is control and element of the earth…well that’s quite given, but it does come in handy in everyday use instead of just in combat. For example with the proper amount of energy I could gather air around me and walk around in the rain without ever getting wet. Quite handy indeed, but I have no need of it yet. It would seem that I have gone a bit off subject. Unfortunately that is all the time I have for today. I must keep my routine on schedule or I might lose my fighting skills. I shall continue on the next entry, but for now I must be off. Good-bye for now.
