My Avatar

Heyo! We're a pluralized gal with a lot of spare time and a love of anime that borders on fangirlism, Star Wars that moved us to begin our Sith training, and Celtic music that is kinda random with no Celtic heritage. In all, we're wicked cool and here to do something with our time/tell you things you really don't care to know!

And hey, all, feel more than free to leave comments, sign the guestbook, but don't be offended if we don't return the favor. My computer rather frequently refuses to let me visit people's sites, and I really can't do anything about it.

Look at me! I finally have free time!
Actually, no, I don't. I'm supposed to be working on an essay right now, but I've been doing that for 4 hours now, so I've decided to give myself a break.

I'm hiding at the library. Very sneaky of me, hiding at my place of work, camped out in a study room. Really though, there are enough places to hide in here. I know about three where you could probably sit for hours without being noticed.

It's really sad, but all I've done this summer is work on school projects and watch movies. I wish I were exaggerating, but this is the sad truth. I can't wait for school to start so that I can eat at the same times every day and have a reasonable homework load.

This is sad. I'm on my break, babbling about my homework. It's in my blood now.

Hey! I've babbled long enough, I actually have to go to work now. Oh well.

Have you ever actually been in A.C. Moore?
If you haven't because you don't know what it is, it's a craft supplies chain that sells more craft stuff than Daisy and Brownie leaders could ever know what to do with.

If you haven't because you think that it is a freakishly huge emporium of useless craft supplies that only loonies would buy, you may never understand the allure of this place.

Because I don't understand that store at all, and I cannot go in without buying something.

It's just a disturbingly addictive store. You know how they set up stores so that you have to walk past junk you might accidentally pick up and buy on a whim to get to what you want? I don't think A.C. Moore does, but it feels like that.

I don't scrapbook, and I pick up letter stickers and pages. I almost never have time for origami anymore, and I pick up paper. I spent all of my pocket money on fluffy yarn last time, and I can only knit in the sense that I can make scarves of one style with one stitch and need someone else to cast on.

I don't know what that store does, but there is something fishy about it.

It's a little disturbing to realize that it's been over a month since I went online for more than my history homework.
Especially since it seems like all of my friends are total internet junkies. One of my closest friends is lamenting that she won't have time to go chat with someone online tonight as she is texting the same person, and I'm sitting there thinking, "If online communication were that vital, I'd be dead."

Anyway ... I have been "college-hunting," and I really hate that word. It's kind of going nowhere, and I have the unsupport of one of my coworkers as well. She's completely neurotic, with the classic handwashing OCD. She suggests that a solution to my dilemma is to not merely have a field in mind, but a profession. (Which is all very well and good for her son, because when you pick a profession like "Japanese teacher," that narrows things down a whole lot.) I'm not entirely sure that she is aware that I am only 17.
