WAIT!
Dont' get me wrong, I'm thrilled to be back. I'm just pretty bummed no one's in my classes, and I thought the crap drama coach only taught Level 2.

My English teacher seems good, and the science teacher is awesome (not to mention, she favors band kids ...). I don't have the womanizing gym teacher anymore (I didn't have a problem with him, but that doesn't make it less disgusting when he hits on your classmates ... especially since his wife teaches in the building, and she's so nice), band wil be murder in a good way since we got into the BOA thing, and the Spanish gig seems good so far.

I just felt like I was too negative ... I really am glad to be back.

...
I am glad to be back in school, but should my history or math teachers turn up dead, I may not have an alibi.

I WANT TO BE A MATH MAJOR; I CANNOT TAKE AN ALGEBRA II CLASS WITH DOPERS, JOCKS WHO ARE THRILLED WITH THEIR Cs, AND SKATER PUNKS! NOR CAN MY TEACH BE MORE INCOMPETANT THAN MY COWORKER WHO DOES NOT KNOW HIS OWN PHONE NUMBER!

I will not even begin on the drama coach ... Oh, so he teaches a class too? Funny, seems like he puts no effort into that part of his career ... (He apologizes to his classes on teh last day of school for being a crappy teacher, for God's sake ...)

Because three jobs aren’t enough fun …
I accidentally got myself hired as my aunt’s housekeeper.

I was working the farm stand (which she owns), while I was working on sweeping the floor and was going to melt honey in a minute, and says, “You want a secondary job?”

I thought she meant something like, “I’ve got a job involving the cleaning of vegetables that people will clean as soon as they get home when you finish burning your hands melting crystallized honey in this dysfunctional microwave so I can resell it.”

So, now that I’ve said sure, she tells me she’d like me to do her cleaning.

Because it’s just not enough fun to waste my life as a library page, farm help, and sitter of children, I get to be a housekeeper too. Grand.

My friends had a sleepover and we had a movie moment on the roof discussing our pathetic lovelife (between the four of us, we only have one), and then her mom came up to tell her her boyfriend called and yell at us for sitting ont the roof, which ended that one ...

I'm going over to Blogger ...

*clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap* Happy happy birthday, happy happy birthday! Happy happy birthday, from my room to yours! HEY! –likkle bro’s wake up birthday song, which didn’t wake me up, but did wake tea up …
GUESS WHAT? IT’S MY 16TH BIRTHDAY!

Which is only a big deal in the movies, but hey. It’s my birthday.

So … today, I got around to watching my anime (Ooh, *spoiler* I was reading IY translations, and Takahashi went and killed Kagura! This is truly tragic, as I loved her very much. But it does hint the series is ending soon. *YAY* And Sesshy showed emotion when it happened! Sort of!), watched some of 10 Things I Hate About You (Ooh, Heath Ledger *and* Julia Styles! How much better does it get?), watched some of Rocky till Daddy’s Judge Judy came on, then hijacked the computer for quite a while to work on some fanfics and compose a post. Allegedly, Daddy is reinstalling this thing so I can listen to some of his Santana records and get a recording of “Summer Breeze” off one, but this seems to be failing.

FROM THE BUILDING #19 AD (in case you don’t know the place, they sell overstocks and stuff from places that had natural disasters at dirt cheap prices and the guy that owns and advertises it is known for being completely shameless)
“WE ARE FORBIDDEN BY THE PUBLISHER TO MENTION ITS FAMOUS NAME!

“A month or so ago, we got a huge shipment from one of the greatest publishers of Children’s books. They sold like hotcakes…and naturally, we tried to get another shipment…and this week, they arrived!

“But this time, we’re not going to make the mistake that we made last time. This time, we won’t mention the publisher’s name.

“WE HAD TO PUBLISH A HUMILIATING RETRACTION:

“The General Council of a very famous Children’s book publisher sent us a letter the other day complaining that we had no right to use her client’s name in our ads…and to give the impression we deal directly with her client.

“As a consequence, the lawyer requested we print a retraction in our next advertising circular.

“…The exact wording of which you see below.

“‘BUILDING #19 IS NOT A CUSTOMER OF PUFFIN BOOKS AND IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE THE PUFFIN NAME AND LOGO’”

“The publisher( who’s name we will never mention again, and thanks to the interference of their lawyer) has a deal with the bookstores, who can return books for any reason. When they do this, they are sent to remainder companies with a black line through the closed pages to distinguish them from current front line books. Then the intelligent, charming ones* sell them to us.

“Some books are in 100% perfect condition (except for that line) some are in 99% perfect, some are 98% perfect…in fact, I didn’t see any less than 97% perfect…and are carefully selected by the publishers excellent editors, who’s record in finding prize-winning books is unsurpassed.

“*see how we suck up to our vendors?”

I can’t replicate the sizes with my talent, but the retraction was much bigger than everything else and “Puffin” was bigger than the rest of the retraction, so it caught my eye, and it was so sad, I needed to share. Also, the conspicuous blurring of all Puffin logos on the books pictured helps. All the grammar issues and spacing issues are [sic], so don’t blame me.

How to Babysit a Junior High Kid
7:00: arrive at home, get tour

Tour: Mother: This is the kitchen, this is Elizabeth, don't mind her attitude, she thinks she's too old. Dan's in his room. You'll hardly see him and they'll go to bed on their own.

Dan: *disappears for eternity*

Elizabeth: *watches The Wedding Planner with me till it ends at about 9:15*

Dan is in bed by that time, and Elizabeth wants to but needs to wait to brush her teeth (What is wrong with these kids???).

This was my whole experience.

I was then left to watch Megas XLR (Why'd I do that? Steven Blum?), YYH, Gundam Seed, two eps of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (Is that the same Steven Blum?), and half of Inuyasha. What the heck is with this? I got paid to watch a chick flick and then 3 hours of TV?

I WENT SHOPPING! (Not related.)

I got jeans at last, 2 shirts, a bucket hat Tea won't let me wear in public, a sweatshirt that I am technically sharing with Tea (feh), Shade's Children (at last!), Hot Gimmick 2 (YAY!), and Ceres 8 (DOUBLE YAY!) over the past 2 days, which is really good for a non-shopper.

I don't have time to come up with a good thing for here ... but this one lives up to precedent.
Tea’s version of videogames is make Link run in little circles reminiscent of those a hamster makes. She also likes the part where you run in circles in a patch of grass, where, rather than when you do it in Pokemon and get attacked, you get money. It’s sad. I shall have to ban her from videogames, local access, Nickelodeon, assorted Cartoon Network, and assorted Disney Channel shows now.

Tea playing Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time:

While looking for rupees to buy a shield: “I’m doing the money dance! Please give me money!”

Tea: “What was that?”
Me: “A big rock that tramples you.”
Tea: *laughing creepishly* “Ho, yeah … I remember that now …”

Upon finding the sword: “Ooh, look, I got a sword! Can I kill that guy?”

A few minutes later: “Hey! Where’s my sword? I’ve gotta ‘quip myself!”

Within a building: “Where’s my sword? Oh, darn, I can’t attack anything in here!”

Every few minutes: “Ooh! Ooh! Give me money!”

Now, maybe it’s just me, but the fun part of this game, which I stink at (any tips on that stupid Genha the Hairy Arachnid or whatever in the Deku Tree that I’m sure you all killed on your first try?), is running around torching spider webs … just torching in general …

"Your Song" is the theme of the week! Don't bite me!
In a brilliant ruse, I went and poured all the dish soap we have into the bathroom soap dispenser … now we have no dish soap. I’m so stupid …

Today was loverly. I went to breakfast with Daddy, avoiding watching The Battle of Britain (“Look! It has Captain Von Trapp in it!”) by being on the phone with my friend obsessing over the joy achieved by simply packing your pencil case and pulling all the manga you need to lend out (she was just as excited as I was).

Why is it that in movies, the likable sleazeball is always named Max, and never the hated sleazeball?

Something horrible has come up. I commented to Daddy that I really like songs that begin with piano, whether or not they stay with the piano. And he went, “Elton John and Billy Joel.” They’re both male. Am I showing a tendency toward male vocalists? Then again, I like the piano part … and they are old guys … old music tends to be better.

If you push all the computer monitor’s brightness and contrast buttons at once, it has a spaz out. It scared the heck out of me the first time I did that. (What was I expecting?)

I wrote some fan fiction stuff today, after editing some of my original fiction … what fun! Then I had my bassoon lesson. I don’t practice as much during summer. It’s SILS (Summer Induced Laziness Syndrome) again!

Tea’s angsting … a lot lately. The ‘rents aren’t terribly supportive, especially of angst, so now she’s angsting over past angst … ugh … to hear her, Likkle Bro has a sick obsession with emotional and psychological torture. I get mad at him, and he can be annoying, but God, Tea’s overreacting.

I dunno … should I get contacts?

I WANNA GO BACK TO SCHOOL!
