Why I Am No Longer Hyper, but Was Yesterday
On Friday, Daddy decided to continue the brand new tradition of a classic movie on the weekends.
Before I even say what we watched, let me just state that the last two movies were Fiddler on the Roof and Gone With the Wind. Both of which I liked.
We watched Back to the Future. And now, he's offended that I didn't like it.
After being forced to sit up till 11 watching this disturbing film, which made me realize just how good The Music Man truly is, I had to get up at 6:23, because Kim, whom I love so dearly, told me that the honor's band auditions volunteer report time was 7.
Guess what? It was 7:30. Thanks, Kim.
So, I got to sit around in the band office with two other kids, one of whom is normal, and one of whom is psychotic. He brought his life, so dear to him, which was a plastic bag of potato chips and jawbreakers. Which he shared, then let us use the bag to catch water leaking in near my chair.
We were addressing and personalizing the kid's acceptance letters. Which is funny, because, while the system is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, no one receives disqualifying 4s and 5s. No one. Only 6 kids even got 3s.
Now, being stuck in this office all day with only jawbreakers, chips, and envelopes, we got bored. So, when the director took away his jazz CD, the other girl popped in this CD that the student teacher guy had left out, of some sax quartet. It was really cool, and we all liked it, but every time the director came in, he took it off, yelled at us, and put on approved jazz.
Then, later, some girls that I don't like much and Kim turned up, so I was glad to hide in the office. Because when you get stuck hanging around with friends of friends that you don't like, but can't say you don't like because Mutual Friend will be offended, it's just awkward.
Though apparently, the upperclassmen consider me more tolerable than the obnoxious exfreshmen like this girl, because they said that it was better this year without her in front of me, which just makes me feel better, knowing I'm not the only one who doesn't like her, and that they don't lump me in with her by virtue of age.
After I got home, I was hyper. Thank you for the jawbreakers, that was more sugar than I needed.
And then today, I just kind of fizzled out. But we got to go to the bookstore! YAY!
