Every so often, you don't already know the vocab words. Not for 3 years, though ...
Do they seriously think that, by 16, I do not know the meaning of "chastise" or "covet"?

Back when we occasionally got a new word, though, I got the Best Word Ever.

Effervescent! A fancy word for bubbly!

Today wasn't a snow day. Tomorrow won't be either. This means that school might just end before July!

I am not a people person. I have trouble talking to people. I am ususally jsut plain too abrupt and independent-minded to cooperate with people long enough to talk to them, except in cases where I am such close friends with people that we work on the same wavelength to begin with.

And when I try to be personable, do you know what happens?

I find myself agreeing to do a science project with this girl that I can't stand who regularly pulls off grades 30 to 40 points lower than mine.

And I cannot think of a way out. Or a way to drag someone else with me.

And to think, I was having a low self-esteem day along the lines of "why the heck can't I talk to people without doing or saying something stupid or rude?" until I reminded myself that my social inadequecies have very rarely failed me. And when they do, they do a spectacular job.
