Skiing
Hey everyone!
Well, I got back from my ski trip yesterday. It was soooooooooooo much stinking fun! ^.^ At first, when we were done with our "Lesson" I thought I would hat e it because I was so bad and I didn't want to run into people, but by the end of the day I was really good! I went down a trail, and wiped out like three times, each time getting snow up my shirt. One of the sponsors went down to the Bunny Slope with me to help me practice my speed control. He was really nice and patient. After I got pretty good at it, I went down this really really steep slope that got you to going so fast! It was tons and tons of fun!
We (m youth group and I) also did some team-building games and had devotions every evening. One day, when we were going around the circle saying what we had learned, one guy raised his hadn, pointed at me and said, "Today I learned that she's really smart," and another guy said, "I learned that she," pointing to me, "is a really good leader." yes, I was blushing, but I just wanted to run up to those guys and give them a big ol' hug, but all I said was thank you, then hid underneath my jacket.
On the trip, I also learned that apparently, I AM NOT FEMALE! Reason being, I packed 1 duffle bag and a little-bitty purse for my wallet and camera, and took a sleeping bag. THAT WAS ALL! The rest of the girls in y youth group took these GIANT suitcases, and purses, and sleeping bags, and make-up kits, and shoo bags, and tons of junk like that! -.- Then They would fix their hair and make-up, even though they knew it would be melted and ruined by the snow. And others were whining because all of their WARM ski gear made them look ft. I just looked at them and said, "Would rather be a nice warm poof-ball, or a skinny little frozen stick!?" Two girls answered by saying, "I'd go with the poof-ball!"
All-in-all, it was alot of fun. I got a little sun on my face, and Have this bubbly little red mark on my left temple because one girl put role-on sun-screen on my, and missed that temple, so it looks really funny. ^.^
The down side of all of this? I came home with a cold. -.- Of course.
Also, our bus had TV's everywhere, so we watched alot of movies. It was a long drive.
Well, I got to go and do homework. See ya later!
