   Another Parade...
I have to march in another parade tomorrow. It's the Margarretta Day parade. On June 12, the town of Machias, Maine fought against Captain Moore in the first naval battle of the American Revolution. Ichabod Jones was sent to Machias for lumber needed to build barracks for the English soldiers. The residents of Machias were mostly patriots, so Moore was sent to proptect him. That Sunday while Moore was in church, he noticed town residents outside with weapons, so he literally jumped out of the window and ran to the ship, the Margarretta. Machias had captured one of Ichabod Jones's boats, the Unity, and went after the Margarretta. To make a long story short, Machias captured the ship and Moore was wounded and died 3 days later. The End.
