Song Of The Day and a question
BLackOut (MuSE)
Don't kid yourself
And don't fool yourself
This love's too good to last
And I'm too old to dream
Don't grow up too fast
And don't embrace the past
This life's too good to last
And I'm too young to care
Don't kid yourself
And don't fool yourself
This life could be the last
And we're too young to see
(*sniff*)...'Blackout' was the first song that made me cry so much, much better than fake-emo teen romance 'love songs'...Britney Spears=fuck to hell.
Anyways about this song. I've read it somewhere in an unofficial Muse site that this song was thought by Matt (singer) when he attended the funeral of his girlfriend's ex who's killed in a road accident. Tragic.
First time I've heard this song in full was when I watched their concert on TV last summer. It was late in the evening and I was watching Muse perform this song on TV with my sister.Within a few minutes of this song I broke to unexplainable tears and inside my head I was screaming "MUSE, MATT BELLAMY YOU FUCKING BASTARD! HOW DID U MANAGE TO MAKE ME CRY?! HOW DID U DO THAT? MATT, YOU FUCKING,FUCKING BASTARD, I LOVE YOU......" the profanities were not of anger but of deep awe and admiration.I wasn't crying like bucketloads, but the tears were salty, warm, joyful tears. Bliss.
The song itself is like a slow waltz with a tinge of Italian mandolin added in.Maybe u guys should get the song. It's exceptional. If you don't like it,find something worthwhile to listen to, I don't mind.
SO.....my question is:
"What was the first song that made you cry?"
------chowder! (bye bye)--------
