Parri (macabre poem with certain errors, but I like it this way)

She holds the bow within her hands
Stroking past the bending lines
Looking forward to the kill
Not wondering about the chill
Her heart is not here with her today
Long forgotten, hidden away

Secret hours of remedy
Bonds were broken in memory
Not knowing where they went
Her arrow is now heaven sent
To love something is far away
To cherish life is loving decay

She smiles as the arrow hits
She laughs as she sees the blood he spits
The same old laugh she always had
She never lied, she was never sad
Nor was she happy and nor did she feel
She just never knew how to heal

It gives her nothing, life doesn’t pay
It’s only promise that makes her stay
She smiles her smiles, empty to some
Her smile is real, but her heart is gone
So it does not hurt to se him die
It does not hurt when his spirit fly

Somewhere she knows, there’s something else
Beyond the current meaningless sense
He told her of love and beauty in all
Sometimes even an angel can fall
But she wishes not to see
She chose something else for her to be

He told her of wild birds flying in the sky
He told her he would stay and never say good bye
He wanted her to see all good
But he never understood
She did not see the birds, how they fled
For Parri was already dead
