Almond Death

Once upon a time there was a little white kitty. Her coat was as white as snow, her paws a soft pink, and she had one eye that was blue and another that was green. Her name was Lucy, which means bringer of light.

The little white kitty had a best friend: a dog named Kitia. Sadly one day Kitia and Lucy were cruelly separated. But that is another story to be told another day.

Whew, story telling is tiring.

Ok, I’d thought I tell the short tale of Lucy the little white kitty. There’s more but I’m way to lazy to type it. And at the moment Lucy isn’t really bugging me crying about how much I don’t pay attention to her.

I’ve been working on Christmas goodies so far this week I’m hoping to make chocolate cookies sometime soon but I have to buy more butter because the cookies I want to make use 3 sticks of butter. . . . That’s almost an entire box. . . . a pound and a half. And the recipe really doesn’t make that many cookies, because they are all tiny and tree looking …. I wish I had a camera. They are really cute. Almond Death, I dub thee.

Fables

I’ve spent the past few days thinking, reading and looking over stuff that seems to interest me. I’ve come to the conclusion that I want to start collecting the trades for Fables. It’s an amazing comic. I don’t know if anyone has heard of it. It’s one of my favorite long series that’s out right now (the other would be Lucifer.)

Fables begin with detective story, but quickly unfold into a larger story about Fabletown, a place where fairy tale legends live alongside regular New Yorkers. Years ago, fables and fairy tales such as Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Cinderella, lived in a place "were a thousand separate kingdoms spread over a hundred magic worlds," until this place was invaded and they were driven into hiding into modern-day New York. Fable’s brings a fresh light to the average fairy tale.

Hi

I was with my family the other day and they were talking about some of our relatives htat we haven’t spoken to in a while. I found this particular discussion odd because they were describing people who were very similar to the people in the movie Steel Magnolia’s. Really, really similar. . Creepily so. . . . I was very confused, and it was a just a bit strange. I mean this was twilight zone stuff going on.

HARD CORE

Ballerina’s are hard core. . .

They my look like 90 lb sticks, but these people are 90 lbs of pure muscle that can kill. That’s right it is my belief that all ballerinas are trained assassins by the government. Yes, they are graceful pirouette killing machines. With every Entrechats quatres and Revleve the ballerina movies closer to a killing blow, I know to many this appears absurd, but many ballet techniques are very similar to fencing positions and foot work . . . as many other dance styles parallel other fighting techniques.
