Heck yes
Guess what? I went to Hot Topic and bought -gasp- a lolita dress! My friend FLIPPED when she heard! Then she saw me in it and nearly fainted! I'm not the type of girl who wears dresses (Though I have the right body to. I have to exercise) but I BOUGHT IT. BECUASE MY DAD SAID HE WOULD. >< Plus, my friend thought I should wear it to future anime conventions. I'm going to next years Another Anime Convention and Anime Boston and possible Connecticon (though I think it passed already)
If you have been to Another Anime Convention, maybe you saw me!! I wore a red (sometimes black. it was reversable. ^^) Japanese robe. I had blond hair with ...black lipstick and black eye liner. I had a black line from the end of both my eyes, to my jaw. The guy named Sasquache grabbed a belt and wrapped it around my neck, then brought me around the area. Did you see me?? Tell me if you did!!
The dress that I bought is black and....a little higher than my knees it has a few bows and a few ribbons around it. It's...different.
Also, I went into the bookstore and was about to buy a Saiyuki book, when I saw this guy who was cosplaying as Sasuke. (From Naruto) He was IN THE MALL. I went up to him and we chatted for a little while. I thought it was really awesome of him for being able to have enough courage and love for an anime so much, as to dress up as a character and roam aimlessly around the mall for six- yes you heard me correctly- SIX hours. Straight. Wow.
