Early
Well, been able to get home early today, teacher allowed us to go and study in the library, and I decided I would better do it at home, it seems to help me concentrate, and with my music, alot more relaxing ^^, as long as th family don't disturb me -_-

Well, other than that it has been a good day, only 3 lessons today, and most of that was easy, so not too bad. I did a computing mock test this morning, I am expecting about 70-80% on it, if I do I am sure I will do well on my exam shortly coming up, as AS Examinations start next week -_-, all but Maths I am sure I will do fine, as long as I revise names and dates for Psychology, I cn always remember detains of studies, and contemporary issues, but never names and dates ^^

Well, all I have to syt really today, not much else to say, ahs been relaivly quiet, and no plans for the night seemto await me, so I will leave you with the next installment of my story, which I plan to continue to write another story, shorter than my others, and maybe ending in my death, so, suspense ^^

Until later :)

Chapter 4 – Silence of Word

Darkness had spread over the Village now, it was nearing sunrise and through the various tree tops and canopies, the light could be seen coming through, strong, and creating pockets of brightness on the floor, deep oranges and yellows. And through cracks in the structure of the tent, and where the wind blew up the bottom, it could be seen pouring in, lighting up the floor of the tent, the padding on the floor becoming light, while the rest stayed dark.

Richard began to awake, he could only see a faint light in the air as he opened his eyes, he immediately felt a slight sting in his torso, the wound was still aggravated from the actions that were done to him, but as he tried to sit up and look around the tent, he found he could not, and as he laid back down he realized what prevented it, it was, Lorna, laid straight across his chest, her head rested on the side of the bed, and her tremendous chest laying across his, as if she was trying to make sure that he would not be taken away again. He looked to her and then simply smiled, he felt the warmth from her body, and the beats from her heart, and it comforted him, made him feel safe, as if he was in a place where he would not get hurt. He then realized something was approaching, a shadow appeared at the door blocking out the faint light that poured through, Richard suddenly became anxious to this, and attempted to move his arms in an attempt to wake Lorna. After several attempts of pushing her and rocking her, her tail began to wave around in the air majestically and she woke up, rubbing her eyes and sitting up she looked to Richard with a smile, saying to him as she rubbed the last bit of tiredness from her eyes, “Well, you are up early, I hope you are feeling better?” She looked to the wound and inspected it, checking to make sure the bandages were tight and the bleeding had stopped, Richard nodded to her as she turned back round, pointed to the door, without saying a word, she looked over to the cloth door where he pointed to see the shadow was still there, she looked back to Richard with a look of confusion. She slowly got up, the mattress re-inflating from her weight been on it, and she walked towards the entranceway slowly.

Lorna got to the door and then looked out, but once she saw whoever was at the door, she looked back at Richard, and then excited the tent, and random whispers could be heard from outside the tent. Richard tried to listen to what was been said outside but he could not make out a thing, the bed was at the opposite end of the tent, and so, made it difficult to hear exact word and phrases, or indeed who was actually talking, but Richard could not just lie about and let whatever go on outside, he needed to know, he had a feeling it would concern him, and no matter how rude it would have been, he had to hear. Richard struggled to get up out of the bed, turning while at an angle so that his feet touched the matting on the floor, feeling like straw to the touch, but, he struggled non the less to stand on it. As he slowly rose from the bed, the pain from the wound could be seen as his face went red from the effort of trying to stand up, and once up, he could only stand at a bent stance, so that the pain would not totally incapacitate him. Resting on several objects on the way to the door, starting with the bed, and then the closet, tables and the sides of the tent support itself, trying anything to stay stood up, but eventually reaching the doorway, and hearing what was been said outside he now recognized who was specking, it sounded like the Elder who had been talking before, he coarseness of his voice could now be fully heard, and his age was also present, he caught him saying some words as he approached.

“It would only cause problems Lorna” he heard him say, hearing a bit of anxiety in it, as if he was trying to hurry it, and was worried about what he was saying. Lorna then responded with

“I will take care of him, he is under my protection Elder, Regas will not come near again, you have forbid it” She said this with a force of conviction, as if she was trying to prove a point, make something heard and recognized. He heard the Elder sigh and then say to her.

“He will only tell this to others once he leaves, and then we will all be in trouble, we have avoided humans in this Village for decades, but, if we were to be found, imagine what could happen” the Elder then let out a sigh again at the end of what he said, he was trying to make his own point, he was dangerous, Richard understood what he was saying, and he knew exactly what he was on about, he leaned against the wooden post, thinking of what he said, then, suddenly, with a well of emotion he turned around and excited the tent.

Outside the sky was clear of clouds, and red seemed to be covering it, making it have a sense of tension in the air, the birds only just singing there songs to each other, as the sun crept along the ground, which was still for most covered in darkness. Lorna and the Elder immediately looked to Richard as he stumbled out, messily and trying to regain his balance, Lorna immediately grabbed him before he could fall down, and held him up gently, holding him near to her, putting her arm around him and under his arms to support him, saying to him as she did. “Richard, what are you doing, you need to rest, I and deal with this” she said this with a forced smile, she obviously was not happy with the conversation she was having, or was it Richard actually hearing it. Richard then looked to her and said, quietly, trying not to aggravate the pain he felt already.

“It is ok, I just want to say one thing” Richard then looked to the Elder, who could barely be seen in the dark, his black, shaggy coat blending into the darkness around them, his sharp, bright eyes gleaming through it, cutting a piercing light, and he said to him,

“Elder, I will not pretend to know a lot of your ways, but I can already tell I am not the most welcome guest you have ever had to stay in your Village, and I apologize for any trouble I have caused, it was never my intention” he then stopped suddenly as he felt a tinge in his torso, the wound let out a violent spasm, a large pain around it began to pulsate, he felt that something had gone inside it, like himself, broken, fragmented, feeling of not belonging, but never the less, he put his hand on it, Lorna also seeing it and using her paw to help him as well, placing it gently over his hand, feeling it’s warmth go through him, and helping him to regain his voice again, but before he could again, the Elder spoke.

“It is not that Human, it is the fact it will be in your nature to tell others of what you have seen, and then they will try to find us, we only want to live quietly from others, un-attached, please understand our position on this” He stopped he said it all gently, and with no tint of aggravation, he was only trying to show his point that humans will only ruin their life, Richard understood this, and then looked down the ground for a second to think what had been said, and looked back to him, and said, with a similar tone, trying not to sound too pained.

“I can understand it, but, who would I tell anyway, I have recently come here, and have recently not gotten to know anyone” he stopped for a second, the pain doubling over in him, and then continued with his words “I know that humans would ruin you life here, and I would never tell a soul, you would have to trust me on that” he then stopped losing feeling in his legs, and limping downwards a bit, Lorna having to use more strength to hold him up, the Elder looked to him, and then smiled gently.

“I believe you, and I hope we can trust your word human, but for now, I must convince others to let you go, but if you are really sincere with your words, I should see no problem” the Elder then bowed slightly and began to walk away into the slight light that had now covered the central square area, the podium that he had been stood upon still was placed. Lorna then suddenly began to move back into the tent, holding Richard up with her arms, saying to him.

“That was a good speech, you seem to have convinced the Elder, but the others will not be won so easily, I am good friends with the elder, he trusts me, and if I believe in you, he will too, I just hope he can get others to understand” she rested him back on the bed, putting the covers over him, and smiled, whispering to him, as she brought her muzzle down to his ears, her hairs tickling his cheek “I just hope even if you do leave, it won’t be our last encounter” she then moved and walked over to a table, and said to him from over the room, a wisp of smoke rising, and a spark “How would you like your tea?” she could be seen smiling in the bright light of the sparks that were been made in the furnace next to her, and Richard smiled in return, he had made a repour with the Elder, maybe this was the first step to securing his freedom, even though he is here, he is still a prisoner, one that must be guarded carefully from the others who inhabited this prison, ones who wished him hate, and resentment, those who would happily kill him. But he let these thoughts escape him for the time being, and just decided he would enjoy the moment while he could, as the sun began to rise above the tree line.

(Not a really exciting on, but, it builds for the net part)
