I will leave you with more story, see you later

Chapter 11 – Interlude of Flowers

What was this, he was, alive? He could feel his body, he ached slightly, but he felt himself move, he opened his eyes slightly, darkness was round him, he tried to focus but found only a pin hole of light, he heard murmurs around him, like voices, but, he was unable to make any of them out, like distant echoes. Slowly though, he began to focus his eyes, his vision returning, and also, his hearing, he was alive, he laid down, and let things return to him naturally.

The first thing he felt was heat, he opened his eyes again to see a large fire at his left side, burning bright, raising high into the air. It was still night and he could feel the night breeze run against him, like an old companion, he recognized this. Looking to his other side, he saw Kiba, Tsume, Toboe, Hige and also, Cheza, they were all sat by a near-by tree, they seemed to be sleeping, he smiled to his, and slowly, began to get up.

He felt the energy run back to his legs, he looked around, they seemed to be at the base of a mountain, how had he survived? It was not possible, he must have been dead, but pricking himself in the side he realized from the pain that he was still alive. Walking over to where the others slept, he looked at them, they seemed so peaceful together, lying there, Cheza resting her hands on Kiba’s and Hige’s head as she slept, looking so peaceful. He decided he would not disturb them, looking to the fire one last time, he began to walk away from them, but, before he could get even a hundred meters away from the camp, he heard a quick pace running from behind, and a voice calling to him, the voice was immediately familiar, it was Kiba, and he said as he came to a stop by Richard side, “Where are you going”, he looked up to him, cocking his head, Richard didn’t look up at all, he continued to look down, and said to him, the sadness obviously visible in his voice,

“Well, I am no longer needed here, you have who you were looking for, I am just necessity” he closed his eyes as he said this, he didn’t want to seem upset, but, he could not hide it in his voice very well. He stood there, feeling the breeze against him, a slight shiver running down his spine, he then felt something against his side, and as he looked down he could see Kiba, nuzzling his side, and saying to him, softly and gently,

“Your not, please stay with us, It is times like this we need our friends the most” he continued to nuzzle him as he said this, trying to sound happy. Richard continued to look down, but, after a few seconds, he bobbed down to be on level with Kiba, and said to him, his eyes open slightly now, welling with tears, he couldn’t hide it at all,

“I will only slow you down thou…..” he was cut off mid sentence by Kiba saying to him, moving into him, placing his muzzle on his shoulder,

“I have told you before, you do not slow us down, come on, your one of us, just because Cheza has joined us again makes no difference, come on” he rested his muzzle on him, and Richard put him arms around him, letting his tears run down his face, feeling like they would freeze as the wind blew, but dropping onto Kiba’s fur. He pulled himself away as he suddenly felt a presence, looking over to where the camp was, he saw Cheza standing right net to him, placing her hand on his shoulder, he stood up, and turned around, he was face to face with Cheza, she was smiling as she said her words,

“Richard, I am so glad you are here, I want you to stay, you have more to do yet” she smiled, pecking him on the cheek, he blushed slightly as he stumbled back, slightly knocking Kiba, who jumped out of the way, she continued to smile. Richard looked back to her and nodded nervously, why was he so nervous around her? Kiba seemed to sense this, and said to Richard as he stood there, looking at Cheza,

“See, you have to stay now, come on, lets go back to the camp and rest” as he said this, Cheza nodded in agreement and began to walk back to the camp, Richard stood there for a second, Kiba staring at him before he began to walk forward, following behind Cheza, catching up with her slightly, as she said to him, quietly, answering the questions he was about to ask,

“I saved your life, the Luna Flower Bloomed and saved you, giving you a place to rest” a look of shock covered his face as he heard how he was saved, she was indeed the Flower Maiden, and as he looked into the sky, he saw the Redness of the Moon and frowned, he knew what that meant through his returned memory, of course he had told any of them what he and remembered, if he did he would be afraid they would stop there search, and he didn’t want to do that, he promised the first day he set off he would not allow anything to get in the way of there quest, and he would be true to his word.

Reaching the camp again, Cheza walked back to where she was resting before, lying on the ground an falling asleep, Kiba also did the same resting next to her, leaving Richard next to the fire, resting on the blanket on the floor. He knew she had to be protected, that is why they surround her, so that she will not disappear again, or wilt away, so with this in mind, he rested, letting his mind wonder slightly away as he drifted off into sleep.
