Funeral
Well, we have the day off today, but, it is not fo good reasons, it is time, the Funeral is today, at a Church near where my Grandma lives, so I will be going there shortly, the problem is it looks like I may have to walk, and with what it is like outside.....

THe worst snow so far has fallen and taken residence on the ground, it is quick thick actually, and it is stil building up, I am surprised anything is actually on the road, it is that bad, but, I am sure the smaller childrem will be wnjoying it.

Not alot happened yesterday, watched the second Ginger Snaps movine on the Sci-Fic channel, it is a good film, but saying that, any film with werewolves are so cool :). I really enjoyed watching it, too bad it kept me up ill 2:15AM XD

lol, other than that my day was normal, I need to go now, so I will talk to you later, good luck and I will leave you with my story :)

(Be aware, the end of this chapter ha sa bit oif a cliff hanger)

Chapter 15 – Paradise Road

It was morning quicker than he had thought, he opened his eyes to see the sun just beginning to rise over the horizon, it was beautiful, it feel onto the snow creating oranges, yellows and all kinds of light colours, filling the air with the warmth, and moisture as the snow melted under the bright morning sun. Looking around, it seemed that the others were still fast asleep; he could see Blue resting directly next to him, her tail moving gently as she did, ‘What was she thinking of?’ Richard thought, as he patted her head and stood up, looking over to the smoking remains of the fire, some flames still inside it.

Sitting up, he looked around, and he couldn’t see anything else, apart from the cliff, and the snow, the wolves resting, with Cheza at the middle, she was important. He stood up and stretched his legs, he walked over to the cliff, hearing a voice behind him, “We need to climb this” he turned around to see Kiba stood there, “Sorry to startle you” Kiba said, moving towards him as he turned to look up the cliff face,

“I take it, paradise is there”, Kiba gave a solemn nod, Richard recognized this, it was up here they would meet there destiny. He sat down, turning and resting against the cliff, he looked upon the others as they slowly began to awake, opening there eyes, and stretching, it would be tonight, it had to be, last night was there warm up.

They had spent most of the day preparing for the climb, Kiba would stay with Cheza, while Blue would stay with Richard, they would be in charge of making sure they made it to the top ok, and not fall, they were both essential to the plan, if either were to die, paradise would be lost. Richard was able to find Cheza sitting at the bottom of the cliff later that morning, on her own, he moved over to her, and said, “Hello”, she looked to him and smiled,

“Hello, Richard, how are you?” she smiled as she said this, looking to him with kind eyes,

“I heard you once, what am I? Why am I here?” he looked to her with curiosity, and with ah tenseness in his voice, she had all the answers, but she simply cocked her head, and said to him,

“You are the ‘key’” she looked to him, as if to not understand why he was here, and this raised another question to him,

“What is the key?” he looked to her again, he wanted answers, and she was not giving many, she seemed to be simple, hiding things from him. Looking away, she said to him,

“The Key will unlock the power of paradise, when his sprit fuses with paradise gates” she looked back to him, she did not smile this time, but, before he could question her further on the matter, and what she meant be ‘Fusing spirits’ they were interrupted, the wolves were ready to go, and they were already starting to climb.

They had found the perfect path for them to follow on the way up, it was relatively clear of most of the dangers that other paths may have consisted of, and even though the wolves could have easily taken these paths, they needed to make changes for there two guest.

It did take quite a while, but it seemed they were making progress, he could no longer see the ground after a long climb, it had been difficult, he had several cuts on his arms as he had slipped climbing up. The clouds covered the ground now, like a thick fog, making it impossible to see anything, or how far they were up, but it must have been high. Little conversation had been made as they had gone up, it seemed they were all getting themselves ready, and even though they were quiet, you could see how happy they were in the way they moved.

He and Blue had made a little progress further up than the others who had to help with Cheza, they were the first ones to reach the peak of this mountain, it was a flat plateau, snow covered it all, and the dark clouds up here seemed very uninviting, making it seem very eerie. Looking around they saw nothing here, Richard began to think to himself as he stood there, the others finally reaching the peak, huffing and puffing like he and Blue had done ‘Was this paradise?’ for him, it didn’t look like it.

As they approached the centre, Cheza with them, the other Wolves seemed very excited, Richard could see hear them as they said to themselves, “Finally, we are here” Tsume said, looking around,

“Paradise, at last” Hige also looked around hastily,

“We made it” Toboe came out with, resting on the floor next to him and Blue, Richard stroked his head slightly as he lay there. Kiba walked further forward to the others, and looked around, ‘What was he looking for?’ Richard thought to himself, he seemed to be trying to find something he lost, and indeed, it appeared he found it.

Ahead of then, a bright light shone down, and then disappeared, Cheza walked forward and looked up to where the light had come from, and look forward, signaling for Richard to walk forward, he looked to the others, slowly standing up from his one knee and moved over to where she had been standing. He walked over to her, and stood with her, she seemed to look upset, she whispered in his ears as he stood next to her, the wolves tried to listen to what she said, but, it was too quiet.

Richard listened to her words carefully, his eyes widening as he stood there, he had tears in his eyes, he could not believe what he was hearing, what he had lived for, stayed with them up to this point, and now what would have to happen to him.

After she had finished talking to him, he stood there for a moment as she walked away from where he stood, and stood with the wolves, who had gathered directly behind him, he didn’t want this at all, but it would be fitting this way, it was how it should end, turning around, he didn’t look to anyone but Cheza, and even then he nodded to her as he stood there, looking down, he didn’t want them to see how upset he was, he couldn’t let emotions get in the way now, he wanted what was best for them, Cheza began to speak,

“The key understands his duty, to open paradise, his spirit must fuse with the ‘lock’” she stopped for a second and Blue shot a look from Richard to her, and said, silently, but rushed,

“Spirit must fuse? What do you mean?” she was concerned, the other wolves also looked to her as she continued to speak

“The Spirit cannot be released by just anyone, it ahs to be released by the chosen one” she looked over to Kiba, “You must release the spirit” she signaled to Richard who was still standing there, the snow falling over him, and the wind piercing him like swords. Kiba looked from Cheza to Richard, and asked, curiously,

“How do I do that?” he had no idea where to start, but Cheza’s words shook all of them, to there very core, the look on there faces all sank,

“You must kill the key” she looked down and closed her eyes as well, she knew what kind of reaction this may get, and she knew this was the only way, all the wolves had the colour drained from there faces as she stood there, Blue looked furiously between Kiba, Cheza and Richard, ‘did she hear right?’
