End of a Week
Well, unfortunatly due to the weather conditions yesterday I was unable to attend th funera, which is a shame really, I did wanna go to thatm but, hat is done is done, not alot I can really do about it.

The weather was its workst yesterday, it did not stop snoing at all ALL DAY, and I was forced by family to go out in it for several reasons, I really was not happy anout it, but, it happened :(. Lucky I didn't have to go out in it for too long a period of times, although my eet were saoked.

I didn't do much yesterday, I had my grandma over for a while, and it was good to see her. It was because at the moment my Grandad is in hospital, spme problem with his cataract, making it so he cannot see, but he is getting anf operation today, so, all the best for that.

Thats all I really have to say today, apart from havea good day, and enjoy yourself, I will leave uoi with the penultimate chapter, I hope you enjoy this one, I had an emotional time writing this lasy one up, and it really does get to me just reading it.

So here you go.

Chapter 16 – Purpose and Proposition

“Kill him, there must be another way” Blue rushed over to Richard, she could feel his shake, he was crying also, although he didn’t want to show it, she stood next to him, sitting in front of him, looking up to see the tears land on her muzzle, she looked back to Cheza, who shook her head,

“It is the only way for the spirit to be released, the key must be sacrificed for paradise to open” Cheza looked away again, Blue looking to Kiba now, who had also moved up and sat next to Blue, looking up to Richard,

“Kiba, you can’t. Remember we promised to protect him; he isn’t from this world, why does he have to suffer this fate? It’s not fair” she looked down and tears of her own developed in her eyes, she couldn’t hold them back, she whimpered, she was truly upset by the news she had just heard, but a voice came from above her, it was Richard,

“It is ok Blue, I will do this, for all the wolves, this is not my world, I do not belong anyway, this can be way of truly thanking you all, sending you to paradise, ultimate happiness” he was trying to hold back the tears and shakes now as he looked down to her, she didn’t look up, Kiba said for her though,

“I don’t think Blue could live in ‘happiness’ if you were gone though” he moved up to Blue, she was now in her human form, as well as Kiba and all the other wolves, she sat next to Richard, and Kiba put her arms around her, he looked at her, Richard also bobbed down, smiling,

“It is alright, Blue” he looked at her, and moved her eyes to look into his, still slightly glazed over, tears running down her cheek, which he cleared away using his finger, “As long as don’t forget, I will never really be gone” he was trying so badly now not to cry and breakdown in front of her, but, he found it harder and harder with each passing word he spoke to her.

It was sudden, but she suddenly threw her arms around him, and said, through her crying, “I could never live in a paradise without you, it cannot be happiness” she help him tight, he could no longer hold back his tears, and he also cried, and said, while holding her,

“It ahs been fun, I enjoyed all our time together, I liked our chats, how you treated me, how you made me feel, I really do live you for that” he pushed her away slightly, and wiped away yet more tears, smiling slightly,

“I love you too, that’s why I can’t lose you” she held him again, around the waist, resting in his lap, he ran his fingers through her hair and smiled, gently, looking to Kiba, he nodded and he slowly stood up, letting her rest on the ground,

“Blue, don’t forget me” he looked down to her as she stood up and backed away, falling over some of the rocks outcropping from the ground, and he said as he stood there, looking to her, “This is one thing, I have to do alone, don’t follow me this time” he smiled, he knew she wouldn’t be able to live, she would do something like that, and she knew he knew this, giving a gently nod of her head, she feel to her knees, and watched as Kiba moved closer to Richard,

“I am sorry Richard” Kiba moved face to face with him, he could see the tears developing in Kiba’s eyes too, Richard looked into them, and ten closed his, turning away, he looked to the sky, the stars had started to appear, and a blood red moon shone high in the sky. Looking up, he said o Kiba, looking back down, and closing his eyes, turning back to Kiba,

“Don’t be sorry, I have had a wonderful time with you, but, I guess my time is up” he opened his eyes, he had cleared his mind, he would have to accept this sooner or later, “The stars are beautiful, like the moon, do one thing for me Kiba” he looked to Kiba with a coldness in his eyes, but yet, all his feeling there,

“Sure, anything” Kiba put his right hand on his shoulder, reassuring him,

“Make it quick, I don’t want Blue to see me suffer, I love her too much for that” he looked to Kiba, and he nodded,

“I would do that anyway, I cannot watch you in pain, but I still don’t want to do this” he looked to the ground, his hand still on his shoulder, Richard reaching for it, holding it, and moving it from his shoulder,

“I know you don’t, but please, this is the only way” he looked around to the other wolves, they all had tears in there eyes, they looked upon this scene as Kiba turned back to wolf, they doing the same, even Blue. Taking one last look at them, he sighed and said, standing with his hands at his side, “Do it, now, while I am ready” he stood there, feeling the winds blow against him, he felt every snow flake hit his skin as he stood there, the winds, chilling, but, not that it would matter for long, he had been through a lot, from when he was found in the prison, to now, he had grown a lot, and if he had the chance, he would not change a thing, this is what he had always wanted, he had found friends, and even though it was ending far too quick for him, he had no regrets, her had accepted the fate handed down to him, he would never forget these people, his friends, the only ones he would even think of in such a way.

“Ok” Kiba responded, he got himself ready, and then, as the wind blew threw, he made his strike.

It was instant, and an interesting sensation, as Richard opened his eyes to look down, he felt a coldness sweep to every part of his body, going numb in the extremities. He watched as he saw the paw been retracted from his gut, the blood covering him, he could feel it in his entire torso; it had gone straight through him. He heard the screams around him as he fell to his knees, bringing his hands to hold the wound, blood covered them immediately, he looked down ,seeing it pour out of his chest, he was sure going to die from this, soon, it would all be over. He fell to his side, and rolled onto his back, looking to the stars above him.

Blue ran over to him first, the others behind her, Kiba at one side of him, Blue at his other. His eyes narrowed, struggling to stay awake, it was painful, he couldn’t breath very well, he could feel the blood fill up his lungs, and it felt like he was drowning, blood fell from the side of his mouth as he laid there, and from his nose, he felt a darkness sweep above him, but he still smiled looking up to the stars.

Blue lifted his head and rested it on her lap, stroking his head, he could hear her speaking, he still had his hearing, through he heavy beating of his heart in his head, “Richard, what will I do? I love you, please, don’t leave me” she brought her own head down to his, and kissed it, resting his head back on the snow, and turning back to her wolf form, she licked at his face taking away the blood that had come from his mouth, and the sweat coming from his head, he responded, his voice sounding ‘diluted’ struggling to speak, gargling,

“Paradise, go, to paradise” he looked up to her, reaching his hands stroking the side of both her and Kiba’s muzzle, his blood stained hands leaving marks on them as he did, he was still smiling, through all the pain he was suffering, he felt the energy slip away from him, the last of his energy been used to try and stay awake, but he still had one last thing to say, looking to Kiba, he nodded and said, quietly,

“Thank you, if I was going, to die, I wanted it, to be by you” he coughed heavily, a lot of blood falling from his mouth, hitting the ground,

“I didn’t want this, I am sorry” Kiba moved his muzzle and nuzzled the side of his face, the colour had left them now, he had lost all feeling and began to cough uncontrollably, saying, to Cheza, still coughing, becoming more violent,

“Paradise, lead them” he looked finally to Blue, tears in his eyes, and tried to continue to smile, placing his eyes on her, he reached up, and gave one last stroke, saying as he did, “I love you, Please, live” he felt the last energy leave him, it was done.

His arm hit the floor, and the one covering the wound slipped to his side, the blood flowing around him, a pool around his body, extending outwards. He stopped breathing, and the coughs stopped, the blood still trickling from the side of his mouth, his eyes looking straight up to the stairs. Cheza moved around to the back of him, tears in her own eyes as she closed them, the final honor to the dead.

Looking at his body laying there, Blue moved in closer, now in her human form, she planted, gently, a kiss on his cold lips, the blood from them staining her own lips, she whispered something under her breath as she did, placing a lone flower on his chest that had began to bloom on the mountain top, she then moved away slightly and turned back to her wolf form, still sitting near him, looking to his pale, motionless body.

The wolves all moved around his body, all colorless, and covered in blood, and without a warning, began to howl, Blue first, followed by Kiba, and then the others, even Tsume. There howls echoed around the mountains around them, shaking them to there very core, and making them reverberate with the sound of sadness; the world knew a life had been lost that night.

They seemed to howl for a long time, before finally, Blue spoke, her tears now gone, only sadness in her voice, sitting at the side of his body, looking on it, not breaking her gaze as she put his hands at his side, “I can’t believe it, he is gone, why?” she looked at him, the usual colour in her voice had gone, only sadness now remained in it,

“It had to be done” Tsume added, walking over to her, trying to sound sincere,

“Why do you even care, it is not like you ever liked him” she grunted, she snapped at him, she was angry, Tsume understood this though,

“I still don’t believe he deserved this, I grew to like him over time, I am sorry he had to die” he walked away, and sat with the others, as they looked upon Kiba and Blue as they looked at his body.

Suddenly as they sat there, looking at his body, they saw a green light emanate from the wound, a ball rising up from where it had been and heading into the air, they all looked to it as it illuminated the sky, it shone brightly, and Cheza said, looking up to it, “It is time, the spirit has fused” Cheza made her move, and began to do something, rooting herself, she began to sing, and with this, a sudden burst of light, and with that, it all disappeared, the world broke out into a garden, paradise.

A bright light surrounded all the wolves, they had no idea what was happening as they floated there, but they heard Richard’s voice, they could not answer back, but they heard him, “Welcome to Paradise” Blue wanted to call out to him, but she couldn’t, the bright light disappeared, they had entered paradise, leaving Richard there, as he slowly began to fade.

He had no idea what would happen to this world, where the Wolves had gone, or his own, but it all seemed to just melt away now, he had found his happiness, and he drifted off slowly into the darkness around him, his last thought been of Blue, and hoping she would be happy, forever more.

Finally, he had peace which he been searching for his whole life, and it felt great. Fading away didn’t seen so bad, he was happy.
