   I love my mittens...
Yup, I'm all for randomness at the moment. I know I've been away for ages, as usual it's the fault of masses of homework. I've been passing by the site occasionally, but I haven't stopped to comment on stuff.

So, how are you all? What's been happening here, and in your lives since I've been absent from them? Please tell me... I'll be around for a bit, I've got less stuff going on...

Swept away, but I'm still floating...
Iv'e just been out for a rewarding bit of community service with my youth group. We went gardening... tee hee... It was great fun. I suppose getting handed a giant pair of loppers was the extent of the fun though, so it was nothing amazing. We were weeding out a teency tiny part of one of my towns many reserves, but we accomplished quite a bit. It feels good to do your bit sometimes ^_^

My case of the homework isn't getting better. I now have 2 assignments, and a whole pile of extended math class crud banking up. And I keep getting english essays... -_-'

I'm only here cause it's the only time I'll have this week/coming week to be here... it's 10pm and I have work early in the morning, til 5pm. Then I'm going out to a fireworks concertey thingamy with my friends, and Sunday I'll either be at church, or doing homework. Every spare instant I'll be doing homework, which will, decidedly, suck monkey butt. How sophisticated ^_~;;;

Well, I'd better be off. I have study to do.

In the case of missing persons...
My goodness... I've been away for half a month... I am severely disappointed with myself. You can scold me too, if it takes your fancy ^_~

The real culprit of my absense, is the fact that I started school a few days after my last post on the 26th... And I've been getting piled up with homework, which I was absolutely not prepared for. Isn't homework a drag?

If you notice the orange candy-stripes in the background (which would be hard to miss, I think... ^-~) Are no amazing creation of mine, but of the illustrious and extremely talented Baron Samedi, who has generously decided to waste his talent on me. What a sweetie ^-^

Oh, happy belated valentines day to you all! Hope you all had fun ^_~

On a sadder note, I know that I won't be around much, but I'll try to visit as much as I can. See you all soon- I might manage to make the rounds tonight, but if not, see you later ^_^;

Continued feminine piracy...

I've just written a letter to my friend who moved away just before christmas. She jumped islands, seeing as we only have 2 (or 3, if you're a purist) So I won't be seeing her much- if ever *cries*

Still, writing the letter was a novelty. Who here writes letters? I know e-mail is cheaper, but there's nothing nicer than getting a letter along with all the bills, gimmicks, and statements written by computers. Oh, and you get offered way less viagra through regular post ^.~

   Well, it's not christmas anymore...
Yeah, I changed my schemes again. I generally don't play with the layout of my site since I'm too computer-illiterate for it ^_^;;;

So, what do you think? It's simple, but that's not a bad thing. I might tweak it some more in a few days, but for now, it stays like this ^_~

The music of the night...
Last night, I went to the movies with mum and her friend Jill. Wow... sounds exciting, doesn't it. But I went to see one of the most amazing movies I have seen in a long time. I saw...

The Phantom of the Opera

Yes, it was awesome. I enjoyed it so much! The costumes were just fantastic, and the music... well, of course the music was great, it is a musical after all ^_^

I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it. Jill was crying at the end of it, and the guy in the seat next to me was conducting and humming all through the movie, which was kind of offputting ^_^;;;

   Surface tension...
Yeah. Again, I haven't been able to get within 10 feet of my computer before something stops me from getting there. So I may as well stop moaning about it, since it happens so much. The holidays are almost over, and I've hardly finished anything I started. So, I'm rushing.

Funnily enough, the thing I wanted to do most these holidays is relax. But how can you rush relaxation? It doesn't quite work. So, I'm getting stressed out. Which sucks.

Ok. Stocktake was bad. They would've kept me there till 2 in the morning, but my parens showed up and decided I should go home. I thought so too. We were supposed to be counting stuff in pairs, except my partner left earlier coz she had to work the next day, leaving me to wander round the shop with a cross between a stock computer and a barcode scanner in my hand and a confused look on my face. Heh.

^-^;;;

But other good stuff happened. My friends and I went to see the buskers in town. Ya know, people who act and dance and sing on the street and get coins thrown at them for their performance? You can see them most of the time in town, but at the moment the World Buskers Festival is on, so they're all really good ^-^

I might go again to see some of the ones I didn't see. The Blackstreet boys were great. My faves so far actually. The one with dreds is cute too ^-~

Anyway, I have to go rush and do other stuff now. See you!

   Working...
Sorry chickens, I haven't been around much coz I've been working. In fact, I have stocktake TODAY of all days. I'm doomed -_-

Still, I have had one day off from this vicious cycle... on which, instead of visiting here, I went to the botanical gardens with a bunch of friends to have a picnic and play soccer. Of course, it was fate that it was the hottest, sunniest and most freakin ridiculously summery day we've had all summer.

^_^;;;

I think I've been complaning that we haven't had much of a summer so far...? We've been having thunderstorms and hail when it was supposed to be warm and sunny. The one day I have off is summer, all packed into one day. And most likely, it's all the summer we're gonna get. Typical...

Well, it was great, of course it was far too hot to play soccer, but that was ok. We just sat down under a big tree and ate melted chocolate and salt 'n' vinegar potato chips... since no-one had the idea to bring anything else ^_^

We were planning to go and do stupid stuff in the middle of town, like "the bus stop game" or try and start an aerobics class in the middle of town in the sweltering heat, and convince other randoms to join in, or even to attempt the Burger King challenge, but we were too lazy ^_~

Instead, we built a human pyramid in the gardens and took pictures with our friend's pxt phone, while tourists looked at us funny. It only had 6 people, so some people had to sit out. I got to be on top. I was trying to turn it into a walking pyramid, by getting the bottom layer to crawl along the grond on their hands and knees, but we kept falling over. It was great fun ^-^

We'll see if the memories can get me through the horrors of stocktake, shall we? But for now I have to go feed the puppies. Oh, and I'll elaborate on the BK challenge and "the bus stop game" later, okaysies?

Shopping ^-^
Well, I'm proud. I didn't bust all my money when I went shopping- I only spent $30. And I got the coolest earrings imaginable. They are just shizzlicious... I'll take a photo.

*hunts for the camera*



Aren't they great? And they were only $5. Awesome. I also bought the middle book from the sevenwaters trilogy, since I got the first and last ones for christmas. Now I can read them properly ^_~

I also bought some clear mascara, since my old stuff has run out, and a copy of Madison magazine. It's really good, it's not packed full of gossip about celebs, and it has some really cool stories. And lots of fashion stuff.

No-one commented on my last post! Is the picture really that crap? ._.;;;

   Yarrr!
Well, to stem the laziness I was talking about in my last post, I figured I should do something creative. So, I finally got around to restracing my pirate picture. It took about an hour to trace it against a window from the screwed up original, but I think I have fixed it... and I am proud ^_^'

It's still only a pencil sketch, and there are a few other things I need to do to it before I will even try to color it using Adobe Photoshop... if I ever get around to it, just tracing it took me long enough... But I figured you people might just like to see it. I hope you enjoy it! Here it is...



What do you think? Be honest, I love criticism ^-^ There are still a few things I have to fix, it's still really sketchy. Off to correct it I go, so Toodle Pip!

^-~ I have to stop watching Jane Austen/Shakespear movies. I have been watching Pride and Predjudice for the last three days- it is a 6 hour movie after all...
