soooooOOOo yes, i have been drawing. ;) for some reason, i really like drawing guys now! 0_o tis the strangest thing..i used to be deathly afraid of drawing anime guys..(I STILL can't draw watase bishies..)
Hmm so shall I tell you about the weekly hike? :D
So, silencethedawn and redtigress and I went on the same loop-hike as last time. I borrowed a camelback (sp?) from silence-san, and whenever i put the drinking-tube-thingy down it leaked all over meeee...^.^ So I had to blow all the water out of the tube everytime i finished drinking, and then it made a funny sound and i laughed, and that didn't help my blowing very much...^.^ aah anyway. It was a very nice day to hike; not much hotter than 85 F, i'm guessing. With a nice breeze along the tops of the foothills, which was where we (at least I) got veeery tired. :) The last mile or so of that hike is a veeeery boring downhill that has absolutely no shade. :( we think there should be an alpine slide next to the trail. :D
about 3/4 way through the hike, silence's dog found a..furry thing..(we know not whether it was dead or alive) 'twas too big to be a squirrel, but still don't know what it was..at least he didn't bring it over to us though..>.< doggies like to do that.. like "hey i brought you a present, lookie!" when really, people don't like dead things brushed up against their legs..^.^
Ahhh this week will br crazy for meee...i'm a teacher at our church's VBS this year, apparently, so i have to be at the church every day from 10:00 am till noon, to help prepare. and then there are dance classes every night..then all-day thursday there is a costume rehearsal at columbine high school (where we're performing on friday and saturday).whoo fun. >.< eh well. HOPEFULLY, next monday, i will be going to an outdoor concert, so that oughta be fun.

in other news..
well, the spring dance rehearsal is todayyyy...^_^ everyone has to be at the studio in full costume/make-up. then next week we have a costume rehearsal AT columbine high school (where we're performing). man it will be snazzy..^^ my class has the most un-flattering leos though..and tis strange; because our dance music is a very emotional, dark, piece; yet we're dancing it in the spring dance? so our poor teacher had to somehow get spring-y, yet dark costumes. I think it will mostly work though.
And of course, i'm very looking forward to rocky mountain foothills hiking tomorrow. ;) i wonder if we're doing the whole loop this time..see, silencethedawn, redtigress, nitikia, and myself go on a hike most every sunday; it's maybe 3 miles round-trip. when you get to the top there's a really amazing view of Denver. But! about 10 minutes from the top, you have the option to go left at a fork in the trail, and hike another..3-4 miles. 0_o (not really sure on the distance there. it's TIRING, in any case.) It's a really gorgeous hike if you go that way, though..since it is so long, there's almost no one else on the trail..

ahhh today has been fun. sorry i haven't posted anything in awhile!
soo, there are 2 new fanarts now. Since i'm a senior otaku now, i don't have to wait for my fanart to
be approved! it goes in right away! whoo hoo! XD so:
aaand....THE artwork of the week: gaara! wearing a designer clockwork faerie shirt. ;) i've never tried drawing him before, except for the little messed up head in with all the other naruto heads. ^^

SO! today i went hiking with silencethedawn and superdancer1992. great fun. :) i'd say 'twas a good 6-7 miles..o my GOODNESS, silence-san, i am so dead right now..i'm amazed i haven't fallen asleep typing yet..^.^ yeah, what if the post just ended with a "gihe" *head falling on keyboard* and you never knew what became of poor little faerie-chan...
mm but the hike was SO pretty..it goes very far back into the foothills, where most (except for people like silence-san's dad, he's crazy) do not have the COURAGE to go!^_^ you get prarie, pine forests, an aspen grove, bramble oak forests, and what felt very like a rainforest but was just a regular ol' oak and fir type forest with more bugs and high humidity..^-^ ah, it was so beautiful! and fun. thanks for inviting me, silence-san! :) yeah. i didna complain while ON the trail, but i am now. :P but it was worth it. apparently, silence-san and her dad RUN on that thing..0_o they're super-people...*muscle*
alright, what to add now...
hmm, well my voice has been changing from teenage-girl to more like my woman voice (?) i suppose, because all of a sudden it sounds very different when i sing. I can get a whole lot more tone out of it, and i can go a little higher now without squeaking it. XD i'm still like an alto-tenor range though..;_; no pretty soprano arias for me.. eh but tis fun anyway. i gave one of my friends a CD of all the music i listen to right now, and the song from the end of spirited away was on it ("itsumo nando demo", by kimura yumi). i had played/sung this song for her before; and after she heard the real version she told me she preferred me singing it! *sigh* TT___TT it made me feel so special...arigatou gozaimasu, amy-san! ^^
have you ever been at a sleepover/stayed up late, and got really hungry, and there's absolutely NOTHING to eat..? it's plague-ing me right now...grr...hungryyyy....
hey wait! i made muffins for 6 people this morning and only packed for 3! *runs off*
mm, muffins. :) but now this needs something to drink..hum..milk and orange juice...eh, orange juice is pretty good, i'll get somma that stuff.
heehee. that made me think of in FMA #4 when ed's supposed to drink his milk in the hospital. XD THAT was funny stuff, chaos alchemy-san...i laughed for a good 5 minutes!
Ahh, i love the humor in FMA. it's great! especially the bonus pages. oh! and today, i watched the first episode of Bleach. HILARIOUS! ^^ I really like this anime now. Trigun's pretty good with humor, as well. :) especially when wolfwood comes along..or or or! the quick-draw contest, when Vash is like, dead-drunk but still hits everything..^^ good times.
i'm ALMOST done with the silk kimono now...just the skirt to dye, then i'll be DONE! ^_^ and then i have to put it together..but i messed up on one of the sleeves (first piece, of course) in a corner where you can barely see it..^.^; so now nobody will buy it. so i get to keep it!!! *happy dance* weee! i even know what obi and stuff i'm going to wear with it.. XD it's a white kimono with red areas, and vines flowing all over that are half white, half black. the leaves on the white side of the vine have silver veins, and on the black side, gold veins. and most of the flowers coming off the vine are a salmon-y pink, with red edges. there's 1 yellow flower, i think..and 1 that fades from pink to orange..^^ ah fun. i should have a picture up in about a week.

NOW. :) I did this at about 1:00 am, thinking "eh what the heck, i'm already up, might as well draw!" sorry if 'tis a little sketchy, i just used a pen..it was really fun drawing it, though. :) i hadn't EVER drawn ANYONE from FMA before, so! Anyway if enough people like it i might color it or something like that. ^^

alright: 1st off; BLOOD SONG! don't EVER ask me to draw a shirtless bishie EVER AGAIN! *huff huff* oh my gawd..i turned about 5 shades of magenta drawing this picture...but, don't you think everyone would buy skittles if the ads looked like this? ;) anyway. it was ok until about belt-level, then the legs got too short, the boots didna look right..^.^;;; eh well, twas a good idea, i suppose.
hmm, so summer is coming, ne? :) the pool is open now, here in CO. and...-_- *dun dun DUN* swimsuit season...omg i hate iiiiiiiiit...i think i'll stick to biking, except if me friends ask me to go swimming. This year i bought a totally white swimsuit from a fabric dyeing place, and i'm going to make it fade up from a dark black\indigo blue to a light baby blue\turquoise blue. (like, if you go into windows paint and there's that REALLY bright light blue? that one. :) and then about where the fade is i'm going to put some white sakura or ume (cherry or plum blossoms) maybe put some pink in the middles of the flowers..
so. maybe i shan't hate swimming so much then, i'll just think to myself, "the people are only staring because of my glorious artwork!" **strikes victory pose**

hmm...what to write about...
hey folks!
i'm pretty happy right now. maybe because 'tis been such lovely weather here in CO. it's juuuuust the right temperature (sort of warm-ish) then a breeze comes and cools you off...*sigh* i even think it's improving my skin!!! XD and i got a tan, ladies and gentleman! *dun dun dun*
but anyway. :)
faerie-chan has a new fanaaaaart up! :) this one's an original; tis my representation of good and evil. :) go see! (and if it ain't there yet please check back tomorrow. XD)
so, chaos alchemy was kind enough to lend me his copy of FMA #4, the manga. WOWWW! it was so good, domo arigatou, chaos-san. :) the bit about the cats in the armor was really funny.
aaand...i have yet to draw either chichiri with skittles or roy & ed biting each other (only still considering that one because red-chan thinks it would be funny). gyahhhh! know why i haven't drawn chichiri yet??! because...now that i finally got over my fear of drawing bishounen...i now have a biiiig fear of drawing them bare-chested. XD XD XD help, somebodyyyy.....
hmm, so now that faerie-chan has sold quite a few kanzashi (kanzashi are hair-ornaments that geisha/maiko wear, which you can see one that i made here)
there are a LOT of people e-mailing her wanting custom made ones! and it's too much for poor faerie-chan...e.e she isn't getting much sleep.
aaaaaaand i went out on my bike for lunch todayyy...took a bunch of pretty pictures...

Do any of you girls sit on the bathroom counter when putting on make-up? XD i do. so today i hopped up on the counter and there was this GIANT (in-between quarter and half-dollar sized) brown-black spiderrrr...XO and i couldna see it at first because i didn't have my contacts in yet...i was like "hey there's a big brown blob there.. ZOMG it's a SPIDERRR! RUN AWAAAYYyy..." I don't like spiders, people. :) even though they don't hurt you (well...some do) usually...they just have a creepy-factor. XD ooh, especially that half-dollar sized one i found in the shower last week...they like my bathroom... XO take cover!

I really love the music for FMA, because IT'S AN ACTUAL ORCHESTRA playing the music!!! *dies of happiness* OMG it is so BEAUTIFUL and pretty and AMAZIIIIING....*sigh* and of course "brothers" is an amazing pretty song with the orchestra music. And the little boy voice singing in russian. XD but i had hoped it would be in japanese...T.T
So hey! i got the lyrics to this song, (brothers) and omg russian pronounciation is CRAZYYYY...T.T i don't know if i'll ever get it right...i can do a japanese rlr but not a russion wvyi...
BUT! i can play it on the piano! :P take THAT, crazy russians.

so, this has been a pretty long post, huh? :) Well....i don't think there's any more news to report in my life...so i'm going to say goodbye now, everyone. :) mata aimasho!
road trips
hey everybodyyyyyy! ^.^
michi is back! at least temporarily. :) i shall be off traveling again tomorrow morning.
so! today we took a cog-railroad train up to the top of Pike's Peak, which is some 16,000 feet in elevation. you can see a panorama picture i took at the top here.
sorry that the 3 pictures don't QUITE match up..^.^ i really did try my best...
it was sunny and about 80 at the bottom, but snowing and somewhere around 50 at the top! ^.^ Really amazing though...you can see like 4 different states from the top...
after that, we went to this awesome museum that is actually a castle from the 1870's. It is called Miramont Castle, and you can see a picture i took of the front "a href="http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e249/clockwork_faerie/cograilroad019.jpg">here.
inside there are all these restored pieces of furniture and statues and glass cases with stuff from the house in them, dummies with amazing dresses on them (from the original owners), etc...i forgot to bring the camera inside somehow, though. XD ah well. next time. There have said to be ghosts in that castle...^.^ i didna see any but i think they wouldn't come out until it was dark, anyway. ;) the stairs and floors in general were all really creaky-squeaky though, and 'twas nerve-wracking. but totally awesome; i think victorian is my favorite period in time. :) besides now, of course.
aand yesterday i was at Rocky Mountain National Park, which (of course) i also have pictures of. and of course i got all the souvenir-y stuff like a park map and a pin and all that crap. :)Here's a picture i took at a neat lake.

aaand the other one is simply a pencil doodle that yes, i really did draw at 1:00 am. this morning. :) you can see that one here. It is of Kakashi from naruto, in case you were wondering. :)
fanart #2 actually happened because of a mess-up from project "anime guys in street clothes with i-pods". XD which already started with Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi, awhile back. SOOO i was going to do kakashi next; but no matter what i did, it didn't bear any resemblance (sp?) to him without the mask an stuff. XD Perhaps naruto is just too different of a style, for me...i'm used to the long, skinny, somewhat-romantic style of Yuu Watase and Naoko takeuchi (sailormoon).
Well, let me tell you about a little adventure we had yesterday:
Since my grandparents are in town, we went to ride the alpine slide (super fun, go Google it if you don't know what it is) but it was closed. >.< grr. so we decided to spend around 1 hour at the local small lake (Big Soda lake, red-chan and silence-san, in Bear Lake park) aaand of course we didn't think to bring swimsuits or anything...but my sister,( superdancer1992 ) and I kicked off our shoes and in we went. XD It was. Really. really. COLD. ^_^ bone-chilling-ly. like, standing in a wet freezer. (don't ask.) BUT after we got all the way in (up to our necks, didn't go in much farther because the slightly green water looked suspicious)it was ok. It is the weirdest thing being chilled right up to your neck; it feels like brain-freeze all the way around your neck!!
after that we went home and changed and went to a cute little cafe in Morrison called Cafe Prague. It is Czech (oh dear, idk how to spell that) food. which was really good. AND AND AND, our waiter? He looked like faramir (from LOTR) with short hair. XD but his english was not very good. He was really really tall, like a foot taller than me (i'm 5' 8").
THen, this morning, we (my mom and I) hiked up the local mountain, starting at about 9:00 am. -_-; oy...and we were tired from yesterday, so it was positively torturous. But then we saw a cute shirtless buff guy at the top, and everything was ok. XD it was seriously really nice at the top, though...and i'd never been up that trail in the morning before, always in the afternoon. But...it was bug city in the morning. >.< especially bees.
HmmMMMmm....
I think that's about it for now...
oh, and of course, teen ballet tonight. (yay!)
get to work on the dance more.

So, I really haven't had a good day...i suppose everyone has down days, so it's my turn now. My grandparents are here all week, which i am happy about, but i might (screaming and kicking the whole way) have to miss seeing my best friend (and i mean for more than 10 minutes on sunday) for the first time in about...6 months. For people that don't really truly even care who I am. And to go somewhere i've been before. SOMEBODY else tell me i'm not crazy!!!

And for some reason lately, i can't seem to sing or play piano worth beans. XD It's slowly killing me...I think perhaps, because i need someone else to play with/to. And being homeschooled, people actually coming over to my house is really quite rare. I neeeeeed a best friend..the kind that loves you no matter what you do and sticks with you through all the bad times and good, and goes everywhere you go. This is what happens to a 16-year-old who moves to a different state and doesn't go to school, people. :) To me it seems; everyone i know is kind of like "Oh, Michelle? she nice, and i like her music and art" etc, but they kind of already have their own lives and friends and i'm just an acquaintance, if you will.
So i'm sorry, i don't have much air-headed anime ranting for you today. I'm up to #37 of Naruto now, it's pretty good so far! ^_^ the japanese voice actors are amazing...like the guy that does Sasuke? *melts* but it seems too adult for his age. I also like the voice for Kakashi. XD
