this week the trend
^tis the name of a cool song by relient K. :) but tha's beside the point.
AAAAAH people GUESS WHAT:
they're making a movie out of one of my favorite books, "eragon". go here for a giant promo picture. XD
WOW i am so EXCITED! only *counts slowly on fingers* 7 months to go! >.< ee *crazed fangirl squeak* yeah. Actually i can't wait even more for the 3rd (and final) book. these books (by Christopher Paolini) are really quite amazing. and similar to LOTR, but at the same time entirely different.
hmmm so guess what ELSE?!?! I have a new fanart up! tis of belldandy, from Ah! My Goddess. (which i haven't ever seen the anime of, but the manga i like.) I've been trying to fix my chronic problem of drawing people with short legs lately....so this one's a little better but...^.^;
alright; so the ladies over at immortal geisha web forums decided that international kimono day is the 2nd weekend in may and also the 2nd weekend in september. oh yeah! ^_^ i love it, and i did wear a kimono that sunday. (i think i wear them more often than regular people though. :)
yep. aaand nothing much happened in ballet last wednesday...worked details on the dance since it's finished now...you can listen to a midi of the music here.
it doesn't sound as awesome as the actual music, but what can you do, it's a midi. :) if you REALLY want to hear it you can get it on i-tunes. :D
yesh.
and now, i'm working on a piano piece i'm quite sure is killing me. :) it's called "Eternal Harvest" from Final Fantasy IX. omg @.@ tis so fast...but i'm starting to comprehend it. :) you can hear THAT one here. three cheers for Ichigo's, everyone! :D awesome website.
and let's see...wanna see my latest works in fabric? :) alright, my two latest pairs of kanzashi are here and here.
hmmm...i think that's my life right now, so you can go read other people's lives now. :) you get a chocolate chip muffin and a gold star *michi sticks it on your forehead* if you read this whole thing! ^^ mata aimasho, everyone!

hiking. also....500 hits! w00t!
hey everybody ^_^
How goes life?
OMG OMG OMG 500 people have been to my otaku now! *throws confetti* thank you all my loyal fans. XD
now, i'm going to be different today; i don't have any fanart, and i won't rave about naruto. :) except to say: i watched the english version, and...it was rather sad. :) watch the japanese version if you can, it makes the difference between naruto being for 9-12 year old boys and being an amazing story that anyone can enjoy.
so; today i went hiking with my mom; here is a picture of her about halfway up. I liked how the trees were standing in this picture and plan to draw a faerie or elf or something in there where my mom is standing, or maybe even under the trees further back. :) sorry mom.
It was pretty nice most of the way up, but then when we were almost at the top, it started raining! so we had to go back about 5 minutes and sit under the pine trees. (we had been in an aspen grove.) AND THEN, these two BUGS that were like, stuck together (mating?) landed on me (eek) and everytime i tried to brush them off they landed on me agaaaiinn...T.T it was so nasty..they looked like super-giant flies...not yellow & black like a bee...idk what they were, but eww. anyway. :)
and then we saw a smushed rodent on the trail further up. (silence-san, was that what your dog was chasing after?) yuck.
But! once we got to the top we were rewarded with a stunning view of *mmsngn*. i suppose i shouldn't tell you where in-case you are a bad guy. :p i don't want stalkers, no siree. anyway, it started raining again, and it was c-c-cold...and windy...so we got in this little space that was kind of sheltered from the wind and pulled our jacket-hoods over our heads and waited for it to blow over...it was kinda fun. :) i've never been up there while it rained before. All the storm clouds looked amazing! and i had brought a sketchbook and pencils, intending to draw the scenery. :) but then i got up there and just didn't feel art-y. ^.^ so my mom drew instead, and i walked around and took pictures.
hey, silence-san and tik-chan! There is an AWESOME song of Onitsuka CHihiro's called "Iihi tabidachi nishi e" (good day for setting off, to the west.) you can listen to it here. It's a really dreamy japanese song about going off traveling. :) i absolutely love it. Chihiro-san always has great stuff. THANKS tik-chan for lending me a cd of hers! and thanks silence-san for letting tik-chan steal it from you. ;)
ok: i finally have pictures of my geta!
3/4 view
them on my feet
sorry that the straps look a ghastly pink. :*) i'm not the best photographer in the world. they're actually a gorgeous vermillion red; you can see the store photo here. Go down to #160.
so. :)
OK: since i don't have much inspiration right now ( i generally don't until about 1:30 am) somebody make a request!!! ^_^ i love doing those. and i shall try to fill it as best i can! let's see, here are your anime choices: Fushigi Yuugi, Ceres: Celestial Legend, Trigun, Naruto, angelic layer, Magic knight rayearth, cardcaptor sakura, Ah! My goddess, digimon, Fullmetal Alchemist (warning, i haven't seen that much of this one), any of the miyazaki movies, Inuyasha (again, haven't seen that much of it), Lain, Last Exile, Ranma 1/2, realbout highschool, Sailormoon (well, it's pretty art!), aaaand..XxXHolic. :) there are more i'd like to add, but i'm not confident i could draw them and still have it recognizeable. :) YOu can also request one of my faeries/elves/angels and give me specs as to what you want it to look like (e.g. colors of wings & hair, poses, etc.) i haven't done a geisha in awhile, maybe i shall do another one....
aight, so i just had 3 pieces of take-n-bake pizza...ooh, i can just feel my arteries clogging..^.^ but it was soo good...i don't get genuine take-out pizza that much; maybe like once a month. which is most likely a good thing. :) my mom likes to make pizza. me, i get nervous around the pizza stones. :) they get really hot, and since they're so hot you can't really hold them for any more than 3 seconds before you start feeling it through the pot-holders....
ok. i'm going to leave you alone now. XD have fun everybody!

ok so i didn't want to add to my other post cause i couldn't really find anywhere to fit this: but; being a huge kakashi fan i had to post it. XD warning, fangirls may faint at the level of sexiness. 0_o stare...
have fun everybody. :)

If i were a ninja
teehee. :) which i'm not, but it is the title of my newest fanart. *to gwen stefani's "rich girl"* if i were a ninja...na na na na na na na na na na na na na na naaaaa....
one of those "you know you've watched waaay too much naruto when.." kind of things. :) at least i don't run around copying jutsu. Oh, it seems to have sparked a couple of long-lost loves though...i feel like playing video games (after seeing an amazing naruto game for gamecube; red-chan, you have a gc right? RENT IT!) and taking up weapons class again! ^_^ i forgot how much fun it was...for those of you who don't know, i did martial arts for about 2 years in Las Vegas with a filipino teacher. it was AWESOME. And i would have continued here in CO, but all the Kali (filipino m.a.) instructors live like...hours away...and charge expensiveness...T.T but hey! i still have my weapons at home. SO i can practice sometimes, at least. :) So you see, I thought long and hard about that fanart i just drew; what clothes would be comfortable, what weapons i would be most likely to use, etc. My wrists and left ankle would always be athletic-taped, because they're prone to twisting quite a bit. :) lots of sparring matches ended badly like that. I'd have mostly knives, because that's what i learned with; and then the main weapon is a filipino sword rather like a machete; the handle isn't round, it's flat, and there's no hilt. ANYWAY. :)kind of strange, someone who's known for drawing faeries and angels, getting into martial arts...you'd think, right? but i was quite a little tomboy before about 14...
I did just finish watching episode #20 today. GYAHHH it was so sad and *sniff* everyone thought sasuke was dead, and haku died, and zabusa died...I continue to be amazed by the depth of this anime. The people are so much more like real people, not only in their movements and appearance, but in the characters as well. It was nice that the people who died stayed dead. :) sorry if that sounds weird, but in lots of other animes, people who die are always making miraculous comebacks!!! And...it gets very annoying after awhile. :) Trigun was nice in the same way; the people who died gave the anime a more real-life meaning, rather than the indestructible-hero-in-a-fantasy-book type. :) Poor Vash, i pretty much forgot about him in my naruto-induced bliss...ah well. Don't worry, Vashy-kun, you're still #1!
Soooo I was going to go and see a play at nitikia and redtigress (and silence-san's) school tonight...but me dad didn't give me my allowance yet, and i can't goooo...T.T so sorry, tik-chan! tell me how it was, ne?
Aaand: on Thursday night, *massive intake of breath* i got my geta in the mailll! ^_^ *happy dance* ok, for people who don't know; geta are japanese sandals made out of wood that look like this:
from the side. and you can get any color straps attached to them. mine are black like that, with red straps that have butterflies on them. i'm pretty sure i haven't taken them off since and don't plan to. XD once i get the camera back i'll put up some pictures.
i don't think too many guys read my posts, so i'm going to go ahead and say this:
i had no bras clean today, so i walked around all day in a kimono. XD it was fun. kind of hard for the first 2 hours or so, then i got used to it. wearing the geta makes it easier to walk in a kimono, somehow(?).
Aaand my grandpa is coming here from Connecticut in about a week. SO that ought to be interesting.
Soshite,(*and) that's my life right now. :) I had fun writing this small book about nothing; hope you have fun reading! and if you read all of it, you get...a COOKIE! yay. :) bye now!

w0000t!
eheheh. hi, everybody!
I LIVE! ("but you were only 'dead' for like...2 days", i hear you say) ahem. yes. but THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT! what is...
well, I've got 2 new fanarts up now! so that the WORLD can know my AWESOMENESS! :)
ok: the 1st one is that elf lady i had drawn before; except for now i watercolored her in all pretty-like. :) sorry for the water-warped shadows on the paper; i had drawn it intending to colored-pencil it, but my favorite red-brown colored pencil is missing, and i didn't want to make it look less pretty than i imagined it when i started, so i ripped out the sketch paper from the sketchbook and painted it in. :) I had a hard time getting the red cape to look as dark-velvet as i wanted it to; I ended up using some dark red-browns and blacks to shade it. I'm so happy since getting a bunch of artist's grade winsor & newton watercolors though...it makes such a big difference! the colors are so much clearer & prettier!
now, the next fanart:
My first ever naruto fanart!
yayyy! of Kakashi! w00ta! ^_^ you will most likely burn me for it, though. :D it's not very good.
SO crimson_zombie asked me yesterday to "draw a wicked cool kakashi". :) well, i watched like, 3 different kakashi AMV's on youtube so i could get an idea of how he looked and how i wanted to draw him, how he moved, stands, etc. It proved to be quite a challenge. :)
alright; go and see it before you keep reading:
now: I have NEVER seen Kakashi use a sword (katana) (but then, i've only seen up to episode..14?) but i thought it would be cool. And i was trying to find something that would make my fanart different from the other ones. :) Aaand of course i had to draw the scar and spiffy red eye (even though i don't know what it is officially called yet, or anything like that.)
"but, why does the drawing stop at the waist?" you say? well. XD i cannot draw derrieres. there you go! and i did try about 5 times, before erasing and deciding it just couldn't be done. It is really weird for me, drawing people from Naruto, because they are more accurately proportioned. :) see, i'm used to drawing shojo ladies who have legs a mile long and skinnier than toothpicks. And then along comes a short japanese character like kakashi, and well...i'm gonna need some practice, let's just say that. :)
hum...ballet today...going to wear a kimono while i have my hour-long wait, because a friend wants to see it...hope i get my geta today...(i mail-ordered some japanese geta sandals)
Aaand let's see: progress with my silk-dyeing kimono is going quite well; i've put the kimono together and right now i'm drawing on the design with a prettyful light-blue fabric marker...which is taking a long time, CURSES on me and my detail obsession....
I suppose that's it for now. :) thanks to all my fans who read my stuff! :) even if you don't call yourselves that.
mata ne!

rotten eggs, brownies, and food in general
hi everyone ^_^
alright: i've got two new fanarts up now. 1 colored pencil lady on a swing, and 1 inked elf with a bird that i'm going to paint in watercolors later. I rarely use watercolors; for my pictures, it is the highest honor to be watercolor-ed. XD colored pencil drawings i can finish in like...45 min but watercolors take an average of 3 hours to PAINT and before that, a good 1 1/2 hr to draw and ink. anyway. :)
on to the totally random stuff!
ok so; last night i made brownies at like...11:30 pm (thanks silencethedawn for the idea^^) but mine aren't the boxed kind. (i dunno if silence-san's were or not) So i had to get out the flour an sugar an eggs and baking chocolate that you gotta chop up and melt...and my butter sticks (haha, that sounds remotely dirty but probably isn't...like "hey i'll grab your butter sticks")said "sweet cream butter" on them, not canola oil...etc... but it was fun. :) got really messy, as always. But it made good brownies. I always put like...twice as much vanilla in as it says your supposed to...that stuff smells so gooooooood! ^^ i just wanna like..drink the whole thing...except that it tastes super bad. because it's an extract, meaning they take alcohol and cook the vanilla beans in it and then strain out the stuff and there you got it, vanilla. :) it somehow has a magical flavor in baking, though.
I've decided that rotten eggs (as in, scrambled egg stuck to the pan from that morning) are the nastiest thing in the world to clean up. >.< well...anything tomato-sauce-y is pretty up there, but rotten eggs is the worst, i think. and noodles stuck to pans are pretty hard too...or, know what's really nasty?! when someone else leaves a big pot full of water in the sink and there's dishes in the pot too, and the water's all lukewarm and food-y and you gotta stick you hand in there and get the dishes!!! @.@ sorry. i spend a lot of time in the kitchen. :)
wanna hear a bad joke?
"i went to buy some camouflage pants yesterday, but i couldn't find any."
teeeheehee. :D doesn't it just make you want to read a whole bunch MORE?!
well you can't. i haven't got anymore, sorry. :)
alright then...
So this morning, when my dad left for work he left the puppy outside...who started howling after about 1/2 hour..which woke me up about an HOUR AND A HALF before i usually get up..grr..but after i let the puppy inside he didn't want to do anything but sit on my lap and chew a bone. which is really strange because you can't even pet him, usually...he just wants to play..so it was kind of nice getting to pet the puppy like it was a cat. XD i miss that. I don't really call him by his name, which is "jedi"...i call him doggie-kun. XD teehee.
one of my molar teeth hurts when i brush my teeth...XO hope i don't got cavities..
sooo now that I really like watching naruto i'm debating about whether or not to draw some fanart...it'd most likely be of Kakashi or Sasuke. but MAN, the people are so simple...T.T i'm a detail-crazy artist...so i dunno how i could make it interesting...and i would want it to stand out somehow from the other like...5,000 naruto fanarts currently up...if anyone has any fanart requests btw or ideas for this naruto fanart that has yet to appear, send me a pm! ^^ i like talking, so i like getting those.
i think that's about all for now, m8ties. byebye!

sleepdrunk...naruto...bwahahaha happy new years! (it's midnight now)
wow.....
okay, michelle's obsessed again ^_^ watch out, peroonies!
so: I had seen an anime music video somewhere that had this amazing fight fron naruto; it was sasuke vs. naruto. I went back and watched the entire episode, #133. (MAN it is a long series.) All i could think of the whole time i was watching it was that it was really, absolutely beautiful! I've never seen animation like that. It ranks up there with miyazaki's...the people just move so flawlessly and gracefully...and i've never seen someone try to animate people moving that fast, it looks wonderful! maybe i appreciate it more, having been in martial arts for awhile (and still having weapons at home and occasionally taking them out and practicing). I kinda didn't know WHY they were fighting though, having only read the manga. and only volume #1 at that. XD the drawing style is rather simple; not as detailed as watase's stuff, or nightow. So the story was mildly interesting. Twas the animation that caught me. XD I have to go back and start at episode #1 now though...! Gar...it will take me FOREVER to get back to where i was...so yesh. if you like action scenes! see naruto. :) kakashi(i) is awesome.
NOW: what else was I going to say....
ah yes. school gets out pretty soon for most peoples, ne? W0000000000ta, summer! i cannot wait...and peoples! don't forget; in most cases, you cannot take summers off as an adult. XD so enjoy your free summers while you can!
It kind of funny; even though i'm 16, i realized just too late how great it is being a child...so, techically i have 2 years. but people expect you to be a lady after you turn 16, ne? Which i am, unintentionally...I can be crazy but it takes quite a lot to get me to let down my guard enough. Usually i'm the sweet, shy, artist. Kind of funny; everything I love to do is related to art somehow...i love traditional art (painting, drawing), music, (and i mean real music here, not screaming, although once in awhile i get really angry and decide to get headbanger-y), ballet....martial arts...
i love how expressive ballet can be. it's really not just spinning around on your tip-toes, it's so much more...You can give people a glimpse of your soul through art, and perhaps that's why i love it. Tis the hardest thing to make a living off of though, ne? although there is a bit of art in everything, i suppose. even if you just wash windows or something...wash them artistically! XD ok, you can tell it's really late now, and i'm feeling woozy....
wow..this is the only post i've had so far where i just TALK, and there's no fanart. XD ("what?!" i hear you say, shocked.) yesh. no fanart. my little brain just can't pop anything out right now. But I would be happy to take requests, and can now add anyone from naruto to the list of fanart characters to draw. A funny thing; i seem to get more comments on the drawings that I make up, rather than say, the ones that i copy from mangas. :) Maybe i should draw another faerie...but i neeeeeeeed inspiration! and really, i haven't hung out with any of my friends in awhile...it's tough, being homeschooled, because you don't getta see your friends unless you go to their house, or they come to yours, or you see them at ballet, which isn't really where you can talk and goof off and play music and draw and play truth or dare in the snow and whatnot...
speaking of which: i woke up this morning, and it was snowing! in APRIL! man, Denver cannot make up its mind. But it kinda stuck and then melted all off by noon. so then everything was just wet an drippy. XD but it smelled nice, like rain.
I like how rain smells.
wellLllllLLL that was a rather long post about nothing in particular, ne? hope you have as much fun reading it as i did writing. everyone have a good day/night/morning! ^^

many things
'sup! ^^
well, let's see: got a new fanart up, of something in-between a faerie and an angel. ^.^; I haven't drawn something original like that in awhile... Go check it out!!! cept, if you're reading this on thursday morning, it might not be there yet. :)
I straightened my hair yesterday, and so now it feels all nice and smooth an straight! ^_^ see, normally my hair is scottish and crazy. curly on the bottom half and straight-ish (but still poofy, somehow) on the top. That guy in braveheart? that's my hair when i don't do anything to it. :) SO! it feels sooo niiiice, and i keep touching it. But i think i might have given it a ridge by putting it in a bun for ballet...
Our dance is ALMOST done!! teacher says next week maybe. tis getting long...and she added some weird modern-ballet things that i can't really get, now that i'm used to classical ballet. But i'll try not to mess it up. XD I start out in the front...and i'm in the front of a huge line somewhere near the middle of the dance...gyahh! makes me nervous...but i guess then i shall have to remember it x-tra well, since i can't watch anyone.
I got Redtigress' birthday present in the maiiiill todayyyy...:) i hope she likes it.
Alright, i'm going to lapse off into seamstress-talk here: The local hancock's (fabric/craft store, like JoAnn's with better fabric) is having a 75% off all their vogue patterns! So of course i'm going. the vogue patterns are more expensive than all the other ones, but they're so awesome...and they fit better...and they have vintage ones from the 40's and 50's there...geheh. I like sewing, maybe because most ready-made clothes don't fit my 5' 9", 131-pound frame. :) my legs are too tall for most jeans, and i somehow have a skinny waist but huge hips, so i end up altering dressy dresses that i buy...easier just to make them from scratch. :)
AAaaaand i've got my 50-yard bolt of silk now...going to cut a kimono from it today, and draw the design on...:) we'll see how that goes. But i will probably like them so much i won't want to sell them...XD have to reserve a couple for me. I want to make one geisha style, black with gold white & red designs, and the trailing hem with a red padded edge...like this:
their shoes are so AWESOME!
all right, that's it for now. XD byebye everyone!

today
hey everyone! ^^
A weird thing happened today (or rather last night): we got about 2 inches of snow! and it's still there! and now it's all cold again T.T seriously, it's down to like 32...and just last Sunday it was in the 70s! what happened...
Cut myself shaving today...what genius decided women should shave, anyway?! probably the same goober that said we have to wear makeup and that dining rooms should have carpet on the floor. -_-
that was really random. XD don't ask why.
wellLll i scanned 2 new fanarts and posted them just before writing this.
Vash & Wolfwood
Koki & Tanpopo
I was going to draw Aoi (flippy) again, but there aren't that many pictures of him, and he doesn't have that much personality, so i couldn't think of a pose or anything....T.T
Sooo, recently a friend of mine has let me steal her Josh Groban CD, "Closer". Because she would like me to play the piano parts of it while she and a friend sing. No man should have a voice that pretty! it's unfairrrr! but anyway. I like the italian songs.
Red-chaaaaan...XD I would love to borrow your whole manga collection, but i kinda need to come to your house for that, or could you bring some for me tomorrow at dance? :) arigatou gozaimasu!
Did everyone see me new avie? Teehee, it's me! but not my face. :) my hormones are going "mate, mate!" and my face is going, "stay away, stay away!" so yeah. I love my piano anyway. Like red-chan luffs her violin.
I get to go to balleeeeeeet todayyy! and tomorrow. tomorrow's my favorite class though. today is a sort-of boring technique class. But since i only have 2 a week, i like it, and appreciate that i can go to ballet classes. I'm not getting fat anytime soon, no siree! XD well.. i hope, anyway. Fat people dancing ballet? disturbing image....
well that's all i have for now; mata ne, m8ties!

pictures
hey! ^_^
remember how i said I got a puppy? here are the pictures of him:
puppyyyy!
puppy head
puppy sleeping
his name is Jedi, btw.
isn't he the CUTEST?!?!?!
and: here is the silk scarf i hand-dyed:
whole thing view
yep.
Well lately i've been looking for new and interesting anime/manga; and i watched that video that was on TheOtaku.com main page of Naruto fights....wow....the animation is absolutely stunning! I haven't EVER seen a fight scene that well animated. Who else here thinks Sasuke should DIE?! *crickets in the background* eheheheh. no, not really. he's rather catching on with me. I'd be really surprised if someone said yes...
Witchhunterfan had this neat clip on her website from an anime called Last Exile (which i didn't even know existed) which looked neat! I want to see this anime now...
Hmm, and cowboy bebop looks pretty good....
ok, so yesterday i went bowling with some people from my church (good stuff right there, people!) and i am left handed. -.- so i tried throwing the ball waaay to the right, but it kept going LEFT! @.@ gyahh...i got like...a 98 or something terribly sad like that...but the real fun comes when we decide to have style bowling. XD
hmm well I think that's about it for now; the next post will have a fanart, i promise!!! bye everyone! *heart*
