haha glad you guys liked the videos and I have converted you to some new anime
speaking of which, I finally made my first fan flash, by yours truly. Ludwig and Roderich from Hetalia, ladies and gentlemen.
it is very hard to draw on a laptop. The audio is from Freddy Got Fingered, by the comedian Tom Green. Pretty weird stuff, but if you're weird like me you'd find it hilarious.
And Cleverbot is creepy indeed. @ Faroe - Just type it in the google search bar and then have at it. Comments (0) |

lol
Bored at 4 am in the morning. It's now 7. I slept 3 hours and can't go back to bed.. fuck.
oh well, I had fun looking up crap on Deviantart and Youtube. Fun stuff.
Oh yeah, and if this doesn't convince you to become a Hetalia, fan I don't know what will.
or maybe a Durarara fan.
And is anyone else creeped out by Cleverbot?
User: Hi.
Cleverbot: How are you doing?
User: I am in your house.
Cleverbot: Where abouts in my house ?
User: Guess.
Cleverbot: Oxford?
User: Nooooo.
Cleverbot: What else is new?
User: Dunno, but you got some good food in the fridge.
Cleverbot: No, that was my own.
User: Own what.
Cleverbot: That spear.
User: Spear?
Cleverbot: Yes.
User: O_O.
Cleverbot: What, you don't believe me?
User: N-no.
Cleverbot: Why not?
User: Why do you have a spear?
Cleverbot: I don't have a sheep. Now you're being very weird.
Cleverbot: And you are being very stupid.
I got owned.
I enjoyed reading your movie answers btw, good stuff.
hehe
Illegal fireworks are now legalized in my state. So no more crappy flashing ones and sparklers. Now we get to play with m80's and roman candles... and REAL bottle rockets >8D so guess what this pyromaniac gets to do? haha lol
I hope no one does anything really stupid though. I've seen some pretty bad fireworks mess ups on youtube.
How are you all? Good hopefully? I've been watching comedies and horrors. Recently re-watched Carrie and the Mothman Prophecies. Decent movies, the latter always freaks me out haha but I'll watch it anyways. Also saw The Help recently, it was pretty good but pretty sad. Almost cried... are there any movies that make you feel strong emotions? One that I refuse to watch because it makes me really angry and sad is Mississippi Burning. It is a really good movie, but people can be quite disgusting things.
Another movie, a funny movie, I recently re-watched again was The Sasquatch Gang. It is funny in a quirky, nerdy way. Some of it is just idiotic and pointless like Napolean Dynamite and Idiocracy... which I love! haha Justin Long is hilarious
I heart movies. Anyone seen any good one lately? Have a good one! Comments (0) |

whew
Been drawing and painting all week now that I don't have art classes lol. Had Christmas early, I'm glad everyone liked their gifts I gave them. I personally don't want gifts because I don't need, but my parents insisted that they give me stuff lol I got a waffle maker and mic and my little brothers gave me little trinkets and stuff so I'm really happy since it was surprising. (Oh yeah, and mace too haha.) But I got to hang out with them which is most important, I hope we get to do more things together this week..
How is everyone else's day? I hope you all are having a fun time! Comments (0) |

Yup. Sooo...
So the SOPA bill has passed (answering SolenmSerpent, well, it's on it's way of passing... they're still in some heavy debate in courts, but the outlook is mostly all in favor. Sorry for the misprint, but I feel it's on it's way. I signed a petition against it, but doubt that it worked) Kim Jong Il is dead, people get assaulted at a Dodgers game. New studies on mind-reading capabilities for the government to control you withnot to mention the SOPA bill act may censor anything that corporations or even the government or military see fit. paranoia and depression. Life.
Not much going on for me really. Spending break indoors watching movies and drawing. Surprised it hasn't snowed yet, am happy about it til it starts in the spring ;_;
yay
Passed most of my exams with a B or better so I'm good. Feeling guilty for not giving people gifts, I bought a lot of stuff for my family for Christmas; even though I hate shopping and am a horrible gift wrapper. I honestly didn't know what to get so much of it was t-shirts and the like. Don't really want anything myself, but I'd like some sleep for Christmas though X__X lol
I got The Story of Psychology by Morton Hunt from the library, but fell asleep reading it... lol not from boredom, but because I stayed up til 1 last night. I am a very late night person, if I'm given the chance, I'd probably stay up til 6am and sleep til noon, but American society doesn't let me by keeping me up during morning and day... maybe I should move to Spain where they take naps and everyone is a night owl lol.
Which reminds me, not really related in any way, but here's a hilarious clip from an anime called Hetalia. I wanted to get the dubbed series since Funimation makes some hilarious dubs, but this was just too funny
I wish some mangas were available here in America.. I agree with CrystalFlute on the whole globalization thing, you'd think stuff like this would be available, but translation and copy right laws are always contending with trade like that. I LOVE Nodame Cantabile, but I had to resort to reading scans and watching the live drama on online sites since they aren't readily available.
meh.
Nothing really much today. Could be better, could be worse. Don't feel like talking about the weekend much... and I'm not sure how I'll do on exams tomorrow. Sigh. Oh well. All I've got are my close friends, you guys and my family so that's good enough :)
Reread one of my favorite mangas this week, Manhole. Unfortunate for the manga industry and fortunate for the rest of us consumers outside of Japan, there is a scan of it online here: http://unixmanga.com/onlinereading/Manhole.html
Wish they sold it here though, I'd buy it. Don't think I've mentioned it before and am too tired to write a review of it... I'll say it's a crime thriller and very well written for a one shot, so knock yourself out. Been reading some old school Taniguchi Jiro stuff too. And I have gotten around to watching some Blue Exorcist epis yesterday.. it is quite interesting, not the most unique, but certainly different plot. I'll keep watching more to come. I hope I don't stay up too late tonight like the last few days (5 am), I need to get some rest.
bleh
Not much going on, just finished my paper for philosophy while listening/watching National Geographic stuff on Netflix. There's been a lot on human ancestors, and I find it exciting because a lot of the stuff I've been learning in anthropology class I hear/see it on there. Australopithecus afarensis, I know that guy! lol XD
I'm so ready for this break, I want to get my final projects done and over with, I don't care if I get a C it's still passing at this point and I can afford it since my grades have been consistently As and Bs. I never thought I could push myself like that, but I did :) I never did that for high school or anything, I didn't care much for what I did, and if you can breathe you can pretty much get an A there. College is so much different from that, but so far I haven't had any problems. They make it sound like grades are everything in high school, but its not, and that's what I like about college, they're focused on you having a future and whatnot in what you actually like. Now about those math classes... lol.
Outside of that, hm, not much really. Been trying to draw a story that I've had stuck in my head for a couple years now, at this point I feel my skills are much better than they were a few years ago. Because I want this to be perfect. Not so sure if I'm ready to reveal it yet... I'm drawing a few trials stories before I pick the one I want.. any of your got stories that you are really focused on but are afraid to do it because you're not sure of how it'll turn out? I can assure you I, and probably many people, feel the same.. but I know the longer I wait, the more I'll regret not doing it sooner. I want to do things before I realize it's too late, you know? I hope you'll all do the same, write or paint that story before it's too late. Fame and fortune can come later, but your satisfaction and happiness from creation can come at any time :)
@Faroe: I'm glad your Thanksgiving went well. I'm sorry about Israel, and I know you'll be hurting for months from it. The minute he wants you back, don't go to him, because something tells me that he'll just do it again. I know people like that, myself and my friends have had guys like that, and it's not healthy. You're a strong person, remember that. And I'm sorry your mom took away your pleasure of music :/ did she not like it for some reason...? I remember when I was first getting into music like that, my parents were very against it, but only because they didn't know much about it. Maybe that's what it was, she was just afraid for you? And it's hard to find good drummers around here, wow, you were in a thrash/punk band? That stuff is a rarity here. The next time you have some extra money for saving that you don't know what to spend it on, save it to buy another drum set. You sound like you miss it, and I'd totally encourage you to pick it up again, if time allows. And what's great about music is that it could be a decade that passes from playing something, but the minute you pick up that favorite instrument, it all comes rushing back and you'd be amazed at how much you loved it and how awesome you are at it haha. If we lived closer I would totally jam with you lol. My interests are pretty much the same as yours, anything with exceptions of country and rap. The old stuff is always good though. I'm not so much into Slipknot and Disturbed as I used to be... I think I was 12 lol it's been a long time since I've gotten into metal, I'm much more mellow than I used to be though. Of course there's nothin better than headbanging to a Slayer or a Bathory disc on some days ;) lol
and working in a lab sounds pretty cool, I hope you get to where you want to be.
@CrystalFlute oh I'm sure you know something lol, see you can play piano. I was trying to learn it myself but I haven't had the time since school started and the keyboard I have is really old and low quality. But it's something, I could probably learn a few things from you lol. And thanks, I hope I can find the right mic too.
holidays
I hope the holidays went good for everyone :) I'm getting by I guess. Homework and what not. Spent time with my close family. Didn't spend anytime outside of immediate family, but don't care about them anyways. I'm sure they didn't miss us.
Life is life, it's all good. Been working on some music projects here and there in my spare time, haven't with friends for a long while. I've made enough money to buy a microphone at least, I'll probably make arrangements to do that soon. I've been dying to get an acoustic since I've sold my old one, it was too big for me haha. I'd like to do live shows again, my friends' have an acoustic project I probably would've joined, but with the time I have I need to focus on schooling.
But with music, outside of the standard heavy doom metal, I've actually been more focused on drone music and ambient/noise. For those of you that aren't familiar, it is a genre of music that is an extreme outlier of any sort of mainstream, arguably not even real music which consists of harmonic notes and cadences (which any vibrating molecules aka sound has cadence, but it doesn't mean it's pleasing to the ear), a subversive art form in itself. Anything that exists can become the music, even objects that create 'unpleasant' sound (as a reference for genres, it's like grindcore without guitars or dark wave with more use of electronics), a lot of different frequencies are used, like static (white noise), and sometimes repetition of audio clips, that mimicks the feeling of a subliminal brainwashing experiment and uneasiness. Sometimes infrasound is generated, which, for a lack of better words, can do a lot of wacky stuff to your brain. You need to be in a certain state of mind in able to stand it. Or just get really stoned off your rocker. Usually it's the latter that produces the music in the first place :P anyways, I've been messing with that, doing dark ambient stuff, (basically, really creepy electronic music). Experimental jazz stuff, instrumentals, all that. Not too familiar with dubstep, but I've been listening to that too. I don't think I understand it as well, since the only bands I know of the genre are Skirllex, which I've heard from dubstep enthusiasts suck. It's a gateway band to the music I guess lol. Oh well, they're not as good as a lot of bands, there's one where the dude from Radiohead makes some music, can't remember their name, but it's good stuff.
Wow, I was going to make this post short, but ended up ranting about music lol I love music, if I wasn't going into art therapy, I would probably teach music or music therapy. But I can't read music :P plus I wasn't planning on going to Hollywood anytime soon to produce crap. That's just me maybe :/ haha sorry for that long winded post, I'll think of something better to talk about next time. Do any of you have a hobby, work, or potential career you're absolutely passionate about? C'mon, I know you do :P g'day mates. Comments (0) |
