   Getting the word out
I decided I'm going to post the story tomorrow and use today to get the word out. This idea (see THE IDEA, below) will be the most fun for everyone if I get more people involved. I will work with as many or as few people who want to participate!!

   The Idea
I have An Idea. You are probably thinking:
You: She says she writes.
Me: I do. Or at least I try to.
You: Well, why don't you write something for us?
Me: Okay.
You: Really?
Me: Well, I could try fitting you into the novels I'm already writing anyway. That way both of us get what we want!
You: So what's the plan?

THA PLAN: Write me an outline for a character. They need to be origonal, with good names (for example, "Dray" instead of "Whatchamacallit"-- this IS a story I'm hoping to publish sometime!!). Your characters may be nearly any kind of creature, although I'm mostly looking for teen-aged elves and angels (no humans). Your character may be based upon yourself or not; it doesn't matter. Here's a couple guidelines, so that I can fit you into the world of Nydia:

ELVES: All elves have long hair that becomes lighter in color as they age (they cannot cut their hair). They are tall, have light-colored eyes, and (of course) pointy ears. There are no limits to eye and hair color except extremely dark colors; when creating your character, keep in mind the hair-to-age ratio.
Elves are most skilled in magic-- always in relation to material items, unless they are unusually powerful (for example, they can make rope function as a trap)-- and archery, although many are also good with the sword.

ANGELS: Angels typically have naturally-colored hair and eyes, and large wings with a pattern that often matches the hair color. Although they can fly, they only do so for short distances.
Angels are generally craftier than elves and capable of rougher work. They are best with the sword or with other hand-type weapons (pikes, axes, etc.). They also have magic, but it is usually weaker than elf-magic and more complex angel-magic must have a base in symbols, whether mental or physical.

(I hope this isn't too complecated)

   Rats!
Sorry I didn't get back to writing the other day but I had a three hour orchestra rehearsal and then a sleepover at Bluie's. We watched the first six or so episodes of Series Experimental Lain. It was... rather odd. That funky voice in the beginning is still haunting me.
The other bad news:
1. My brother totaled the car (this was a while ago) = I have to cut down on anime because we need to buy a new car first.
2. I'm starting to teach violin and viola because of reason #1.
3. I have to write because I've been slacking off with that and if I ever want to get published I really have to get working.
4. School is starting next week.

1+2+3+4 = I won't have time to be on myO very much anymore! Now that it's acutally working, I don't have time!!! Arggghhhh. I'm very very very very very sorry!!! But between school, teaching, writing, feeding my pets, and maybe fitting in a little time to have a life, I decided that I have to cut down on something.
I will still be visiting myO, but less often, and I will probably only be able to visit a couple of other people's sites.
Again, I'm very sorry.

   OMG YAY!!!
IT WORKS!!! I can't believe it... I installed a newer Internet Explorer today and it doesn't mess up theOtaku. I can use comments again! Hurray!!!
(please forgive me for my long absence...)
My brother left for college yesterday so I "rule the roost" now, so to speak. I'll miss him a lot, but once I get PlaneShift to work, we can be like Rena and Shugo... at least I hope. It'll be fun!
Music Camp was awesome. My friend Bluie brought a portable dvd player and we watched all of Trigun with another friend who we're trying to introduce to anime. That was only in the free time; it was a lot of hard work, too... we're playing William Tell, Star Wars, Peter and the Wolf, and a bunch of other hard but less-well-known stuff. At least we're playing real music now though; in the lower orchestra we were in last year, we basically only played relatively foolish music.
Bluie got a doggy! I love doggies. I wanna doggy!!
(I might actually get chickens sometime in the [rather distant] future!)
Okay, I think this post is long enough, so I'll leave it at that. I'll be catching up on everyone else's lives now... and sorry again for the wait...

   I hate it!
I'm so sorry!! I haven't been visiting peoples sites lately... I feel so guilty!!! But I simply don't have time to write everyone pms! And I don't know who to visit anyway because I can't tell who's been visiting my site... and now I'm going to music camp for a week and everyone will probably hate me for not even posting... AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! I'm gonna kill it!!!

   Wow!
I can't believe it! The article was actually accepted!!! Oh darn it... I wish I could see what people are staying about it! I've even tried turning off the pop-up blocker to this site, but the compy STILL won't show me comments >.<
Anyway, other than that I colored that pic of Comet. I'll be submitting that now... well... that's all... cheers...

   Real-life Chimeras??!!
Yesterday on the radio they were talking about regulations on stem cell research and they actually said that among things restricted was the creation of human-animal CHIMERAS!!! I was like 0.0 It's really disturbing that they would actually consider doing that! I guess some scientists have watched FMA-- where else would they have gotten the term "Chimera"?. But seriously... DIDN'T YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO NINA??????!!!!!! It was really creepy to see something like that from a fiction anime actually become the real deal...
Phew. ANYWAY...
I have nothing else to say today really except that the Earthsong Saga (online comic at earthsongsaga.com) is pretty cool so go visit it if you like.
Mmm... other than that... I've been having these really strange anime-related dreams. The other day I had an Inuyasha one and last night it was a Gundam thing... even though I know jack shiznid about it... it's wierd. Whatever. Gotta go before my parents decide that I'm spending too much time on the computer...
