Caffiene Addiction
Ever since being in Sheffield I've drank a lot more tea on a more regular basis.
Earlier today it hit me that maybe I'm just a little bit too attached to it..
I suppose it comes with being English. Gets us all eventually.
No craziness to report today, other than that I'm thinking of joining The Order of Mission.
The Order of Mission (TOM) is a kind of religious order that is based in St Tom's. If you don't know me that well, St Tom's is my home church in Sheffield (go to StToms.net).I moved up to Sheffield about 8 months ago to do Tribal Training- now renamed "Form" (form-uk.org), at St Tom's.
TOM was set up by St Tom's little over a year ago, and has a kind of dual purpose:
1- A network for missionary leaders to draw support from, and a level of commitment beyond that of regular church, or even more spiritual churches, to pursue more of what God has for this country and the world.
2- The fact that it is a religious order appeals to "High Church" (think traditional) leaders, which have most of the authority on whether or not it gets going.
Despite the fact that it's a religious order though, doesn't inhibit the spirit. In fact it allows members to be far more disciplined, while at the same time the those within the order are called to a spiritual (not just rule-based) life.
So yeah.. it actually looks interesting to me.
