dont reply to this shit!
Funding: (how does the organization receive funding? How much? From where? )
WHO is supported by individual donor organizations. WHO would like to give a special thanks to the governments of Canada and Ireland, the Children’s Vaccine Program, and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Assessment of Effectiveness of Canada’s involvement: (Have Canadians made a difference?)
Canada has helped by opening centers throughout the country to get people involved with the world wide program. The more people that get involved the more people we can help.
Role of organization in the future: (Looking ten years down the road, will the organization exist? Why or why not? Will its mandate change?)
Yes the WHO is going to exist ten years down the road. Within the next ten years, the World Health Organization is expected to expand, bringing more health care and medicine to more countries. These activities, along with many more are expected to take place between the years 2006-2009. This program will remain because of the benefits that it offers; mainly it offers good health care for people around the world. Also since there are many countries involved in the organization, there is enough support to keep the World Health Organization running.

Canada’s Environment: (what commitment has Canada made to the organization? Is it government or a private involvement?)
There are many commitments Canada has made to this organization. One of them being the World health day concert ticket contest which was meant to raise the attention to the Maritime Provinces to promote child safety (booster seats, safe parks, helmets, etc…). Also there has been a World Health Day Campaign which raised awareness of how the environment and your child’s health are intertwined, and how you can make your environment better. These are only a few ways in which Canada is committed to the World Health Organization.
Mandate/Mission Statement: (What is the mission’s purpose?)
The World Health organization is made to maintain a high level of health for everyone.
Assessment of Effectiveness of the Organization: (Has it brought about change? What change? Does it make a difference?)
The World health organization is really successful with everything they do to help the world over come sickness. They have done so much and plan to do more to help the world solve future diseases. For instance in 1988 there were 350 000 cases of polio around the world and they made this drop to below 1000! They have reduced the numbers of many different diseases.

Impact of WHO: how has WHO affected the world?
WHO (World health organization) has effected the world greatly. The world health organization sends its representatives to countries in need, such as Kenya. For one thing WHO has eradicated the small pox disease, in many different countries but due to war and other problems the spread of small pox is still a large concern. They encouraged people to receive vaccines and run many campaigns to stop and eradicate Polio. It really shows what a difference they are making. In the year of 1988 there were 350000 cases of Polio, and in 2001 that number has dropped below 1000. Considering the fact that they have a small budget for something that many countries need WHO has done quite a bit. They have gained cooperation between countries to fight disease, which no country would be able to do on its own.
What is the historical background of the world health organization?
In the early 1900s serious outbreaks of cholera emerged. Due to this a meeting was held in Europe to talk about disease and health issues and health management. The health organization was established in 1920 but didn’t actually become a world wide organization until the United Nations was formed in 1940 that strong international connections were made. In 1949, WHO, finally established as a true world wide organization. It only encouraged the UN’s constitution to help aid and harmonize countries.
How is the world health organization structured?
Who is part of the U.N. The organization has many different bases in other countries around the world and in those bases are represented by thousands doctors and health experts as well as several director generals. Every May, the representatives meet to discuss what needs to be done that year and as they set goals they send more people out to countries that are in need more than others (such countries as Cambodia.).

Vegetation.
BC has a variety of plants in its areas. Sackitoli national park we contain both coniferous trees and deciduous trees. The upper area of the park is contains a mixture of Engelmann spruce, subalpine fir, and lodgepole pine, with whitebark pine. The most common tree in B.C is the Trembling aspen and along with that a few others such as the black cottonwood, paper birch, Garry oak and the big leaf maple. In the grass lands the bunch grass plants dominate the land as well as a few other grass like plants. And the bogged areas are party covered by lichens and mosses such as Racomitrium, Polytrichum.
Reason for protecting.
This park was created for protecting wild life and plants. This stops roads and rural areas from being built near by, this means it will save animal habits in the area. Another way that it saves animals it that it stops poaching and saves endangered animals with in the park. Also this park lets children from the next generation to see true nature and not just city weeds or their back gardens. The park also teaches. In our national park we have found over 20 different species of animals, plants and insects. There are a many other numbers of reason to why this park was made.
Rules.
In this park we have strict rules that must be obtained and followed and if not followed you may/ will be fined.
NO GUM!
Do not feed animals. The animals may become dependent if you do this.
Do not pet animals, this is for your safety as well and animals.
To NOT LITTER!! Put your garbage into a black bin so that animals may not get in.
NO HUNTING what so ever!
Do not pick or cut down trees and plants.
Make fires only in designated fire pits and no where else.

Wild Life.
B.C is home to thousand of different animals. The province contains thousands of different mammals, fish (both fresh and slat water), birds, and insects. Millions of birds flock onto the coast of the land and thousands of fish swim freely around the area.
There are many different animals in this park but not all of them are safe in numbers. Around 150 of our animals are considered as endangered or vulnerable . These animals include the Burrowing Owl, the Vancouver Island Marmot and the Sea Otter.
Soil.
B.C has many divers amounts of soil. The inland of B.C soil is called brunisol, which is a type of soil that is usually found under forested ( pine trees) areas. Up north of B.C you will find luvisol. You can find this type of soil in unfrosted areas. This type of soil is dry and has been leached by downward movement of water. In general the soil in B.C is boggy and is rich in minerals from decomposed animals and plants. As you can tell this lands soil types varies from different sections of the land.
Climate.
B.C has very different climates. It ranges from very dry dessert like areas to wet moist areas. In the mountains the winters a long and wet with heavy snow fall of around 175 cm of snow. The summers are just above freezing. On lower land ( the pacific maritime) the winters a 8 months long and wet and the summers also cold and wet with rain. The climate is mostly maritime but the more u move into inland the climate gets a lot warmer and less wet.
Landforms.
The land in BC changes every where u go. It ranges from the famous huge rugged rocky mountains to the deep pockets of ponds and lakes.
